one of the things i rlly love abt phm both book and movie is that rocky and grace are seen more or less as equals. like yeah sure grace might have more knowledge than rocky abt math and biology and a ton of stuff, but then rocky is leagues ahead of grace when it comes to engineering and language comprehension and all these other things. they kinda balance each other out to make a good team and it’s clear they see each other as equals rather than grace seeing rocky as some kind of dog or rocky seeing grace as a fifth grader pitching all these crazy ideas. just two very cool dudes saving their planets
