INTRODUCTION
Hello!
My name is is Teller but your also welcome to call me Räv! I'm a fox Erstian. I do arts, crafts, repost alterhumanity themed things, etc. I will be talking about the more animalistic (and aggresive) side of my alterhumanity on here and also the occasional divine/spiritual alterhuman feelings I have. If this bothers you, you do not have to follow!
my asks are open, any creature is welcome to interact!
I am happily married to @the-nugget-squad / @parasite-brained
I also might make alterhuman gear (masks, tails, wings, etc.) in the future, as well as fictionkin masks! so watch out for that :]
Q&A:
Q: what do you mean by fox spirit?
A: well, there's different (yet similar) kinds of fox spirits in different cultures. In Japan there is the Kitsune, and they vary between being helpful and friendly and being mischievous and malevolent. In China, their fox spirits are known as huli jing. In Vietnam, ho ly tinh. In Korea, kumiho (kumiho are seen more as man-eating monsters than mildly mischievous spirits though). And those are just the names you can most commonly find them by, but there's usually more than one name that they go by, sometimes depending on if they're friendly or malevolent. There also may be more fox spirits in different cultures that I'm unaware of.
I just like referring to myself as a fox spirit more often rather than a kitsune or any of the others because I'm not Japanese myself.
Q: what is otherfix?
A: otherfix is an identify caused or influenced by a hyperfixation. The term hyperfixation is often used among neurodivergent people (Autism, ADHD, OCD, etc.) to describe the experience of a very intense, passionate interest for a certain subject/topic/thing. Its often talked about as a voluntary identity but I think it walks the line between voluntary and involuntary (or could be its own separate thing) because most people (coming from someone with ADHD) who are neurodivergent describe hyperfixation as something they can't control. We can't force a hyperfixation, and I say this as someone who's tried lol.
So yeah! And I have a hyperfixation on foxes and things surrounding foxes <3
Q: what's polymind?
A: Polymind is when someone experiences such drastic subpersonalities in different situations that they begin to view them as unique individuals to cope (because most times, it is used as a way of coping). However it is not claiming to be a type of system or part of the plural community (which has been a topic of drama). Being Polymind is not having a system, it's simply separating your subpersonalities or different mindsets you go into to cope with a situation. It also doesn't affect memories or day to day life (usually), it's just viewing the subpersonalities as separate identities, if that makes sense.
my subpersonalities are based on my kins, and I go into my mind(set)s whenever I'm feeling more like one of my kins.
I'm not really amazing at explaining things correctly, so if you want to learn more about Polymindence it's much better explained here:
An explanation what it means to be polyminded while also debunking common misconceptions and explaining common terms.
The General DNI list: homophobes, transphobes, z00ph1les, racists, etc. I don't expect them to be interacting with me but just a general gtfo
