got bored. drew the unholy quintet again
new perspective
been thinking about the vswap bourgeois siblings. they all collectively share 2 braincells and chloe owns 1.5 of them
Hey little question. Astruc said some time ago that Jesus was a miraculous holder in the Miraculous universe, tho he didn't specify which (probably the rooster).
Some of my friends think that's a bit offensive or bad taste but personally I don't, I think that if your world has a different set of gods (Kwamis) it makes sense that our figures would be different. This doesn't necessarily take away Jesus' divinity, and here is the question:
Was The Virgin Mary a holder of the Peacock miraculous? And Jesus a senti? She is associated with blue and depicted as wearing a blue veil, and she gave birth while still being a virgin, something that would be entirely possible with the Peacock miraculous, as we have seen Tomoe just touching her stomach area to conceive Kagami. The Angel could just be Duusuu (in his revealed form???), and Jesus being able to come back to life could be her doing. The Peacock is also associated with eternal life, resurrection, and beauty (in certain cultures virgin equals beauty I think but I might be misremembering) so it would fit.
I mean, Mary could just be behind every miracle Jesus ever made because she created him to be able to do them. Astruc should have confirmed Mary to ba a holder, it makes too much sense (at least in my head)
In some ways make sense, but the implication this would cary for the sentichildren discurse would be so, so bad, specially for indirectly asociating the figure of Jesus with Adrien and co.
Hell, even giving some religius conotation to Felix actions and plans would give it all a really bad look that i don't think the show intended.
Not necessarily. Jesus is a senti, Adrien is a senti and so is the lollipop monster or Strikeback. That doesn't mean that the lollipop monster is tied to Jesus, I know the background is very different for the lollipop monster, but it's all about with what emotions you create your child, how you raise them, and how much freedom you give them when it comes to sentibeings.
That would mean there have to be parallels between me and David Bowie because we were both born via sex.
Joan of Arc had the miraculous of the Ladybug but she doesn't have much in common with Marinette other than loving her Chat Noir.
When Adrien saw Mari and Nino kissed and they ran away, i can't help but believe that this boy knows NOTHING about his own girlfriend.
Like, mate, your girl is someone who'd panic if she's seen kissing YOU, how on earth do you not have even a second to think about how out of character she is! So much for "made for each other" when you don't even know her basic.
As an acearo, I may not have personal experience with getting cheated on but I do have peers who have been cheated on and have listened to them share how they felt about it: being betrayed makes them question everything about the partner. They lied about not having a whole affair behind their backs, what else could they have lied about? Are all their moments together real or where they faking it the entire time? Sure, some people react differently and try to justify or defend their partners but that's mostly when they're only given heresay. When confronted with strong, hard to debunk evidence of their loved one cheating on them, they get hurt. That's what being cheated on does to people. They "know" their partner, but they question what they "know" when confronted with a whole other side they "didn't know".
I consider this one of the more acceptable misjudgements this show has presented.
Especially considering that no, Adrien and Marinette don't really seem to know each other that well. As of S5, they've only known each other for nine months, most of those months has Marinette spazzing out around him like a fan girl and as they were dating, she swings between being nice and happy about showing affection (weren't they so PDA-happy in Daddycop or something?) and being nervous to be seen publicly holding his hand.
I have not seen the episode, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but was it not true that Marinette was considering telling him the truth this episode with the letter before this incident? Was she not acting like she's guilty of hiding something or any suspicious behavior that Adrien noticed? Was the episode not setting up for this misunderstanding? Did Adrien not try to look into it later when he calmed down? It feels like this trope playing out on Marinette's end, she's hiding something and she gets accused of something else entirely. The show loves playing with misunderstanding tropes but from what I heard from others, this one at least had more set up than half of the times Marinette kicked off the plot by jumping to conclusions on her own.
I saw people called Lila being more evil than Gabe bcs she akumatize Gina while she grieves for Roland's impending death, as if Gabe wouldn't have done the exact same thing. The same guy who instantly physically assaulted his own son when he learned he's Chat Noir, no guilt.
Gabe would do that 100% any time of the week, while sipping champagne from a bowl. He would make an even worse pun out of it and post it on his side blog. The writers just don't find anyone worth that kind of evil other than Marinette.
To make a more literal parallel, let's put an emphasis on how they both akumatized a grieving person.
Lila akumatized an old lady she happened to find to be grieving her husband's impending death. This is just Tuesday for her.
Gabriel intentionally made Adrien grieve by showing him his mother in her casket before akumatizing him. Has been planning to since finding out he's Chat Noir. This is targeted and he was being extra harmful to his own son.
As far as I'm concerned, Lila is the lesser evil here. It's not just about who the target is to them, but also how it happened.
*steps up to the mic and taps it*
Ahem.
Gabriel was fine with firing nukes at cities.
adrien prying the truth out of marinette by asking her 1000 yes or no questions while she raises her hand transmission-style but she keeps forgetting her right and left and every question sends them both further into acute despair
Trying something new 🍋🪻 (season 6 hairstyle and eyes + more of a 'design vibe' than I'm used to)

guys whe n . wehn . when did adrien paint his colorful WIP walls with white.
el toro de piedra:
sadnansi:
his metaphorical character development. the symbolism of him trying to figure himself out. splashes of color in his room that he put there himself.............. at some point, in s6, he painted over it. made it white again. im,,
He realized that torture white room was actually quite lit
HEARTFIXER X EPHEMERAL drawings I did after watching the episode.
(Someone had to give Adrien some hair tho)
THE EPISODE WAS SO INTENSE OMG
LIKE, I REALLY LOVED HEARTFIXER'S DESIGN SO MUCH
It's been a while since I drew something. Time is the only thing I don't have rn, but I'll try to post more often TwT
GREAT NEWS GUYS. THERAPY IS ACTUALLY MAKING ADRIEN WORSE
It's funny how Thomas Astruc clings on the fact that Chloé is racist by the fact that in Kung Food she said she likes sushi and they had to correct her on the fact that sushi is Japanese and not Chinese (like Mari's uncle) and then they akumatized a Chinese man and made him a reference to a Japanese character??? (And also in season 6 Tomoe's Peacock outfit is, like, a clusterfuck of asian stuff but I don't really know since I am really ignorant about that, I still liked it not knowing anything about asian cultures but that is beside the point)
By this standard, Astruc is just as racist as Chloé.
You can't really say that it's because she bullies Marinette, she bullies literally everyone in her class (or city) regardless of gender, race and sexuality. She just goes against Marinette more because she's known her for longer, sees her as below her (as the daughter of a baker, her father's side is the problem to her, she's classist, not racist lmao), and has recently became competition for Adrien's attention. (I'm talking about seasons 1-5 and not counting the travesty that was Derision as canon).
In conclusion, Chloé sees everyone below her, she literally hates everyone equally and her hate is not racially motivated, she's classist (still a bad thing btw, I am not excusing her)
And I'm saying that she's not racist simply because we were never shown she was racist in the show. Astruc can say whatever he wants on Twitter, a casual watcher wouldn't know it. I shouldn't have to give my information to Elon Musk to know more about this kids' show.
Is she ever was racist on camera let me know, but she is at worst ignorant for what we are shown.
"Season 6 will show Adrien having a new hobby" They said.
"Running is his new hobby" They said.
*proceeds to only show him running in ONE episode*
I still think he should have been a baker just saying
He needs to have at least one thing that isn't second hand.
I think his new hobby is learn Greek
It's Unusual , not exactly necessary, fun, not related to anyone,It is mentioned more than once and he's with a new friend!
I think running was more of a path that led him to meet someone who would encourage him to take up another hobby . Running, I suppose, is the closest thing besides fighting that Adrien can do to become Chat Noir?
Or at least that's my headcanon
Oh I absolutely think Running is a way for him to burn off the frustration and helplessness he feels in his life. His very first jog scene was just 'Am too full of feelings must work them out.'
Okay, let's list out what we know and what we know they know:
Maribug has a team and Feligami who knows about sentidrien, we know that as well, yet she didn't bother asking for help and would rather risk killing Adrien in Werepapas.
Felix knows Adrien a senti and he's all for this Senti Lives Matter and fredom, we know he knows Adrien a senti and SLM, yet he never told Adrien about his own amok, risking his cousin to accidentally broke the amok and killed himself, or the ring got stolen and he's controlled.
We know Mari easily got panicked when someone saw her do something, Adrien knows she's easily flustered and panicking, yet he never considered how odd it is for the fake Mari to not panic at all in Heartfixer.
Lila knows Felix has the peacock, we know Felix has the peacock, yet she didn't take his miraculous, or just check it at bare minimum in Yaksi Gozen.
Marinette knows Adrien said no 37 times, we know Adrien said no, yet she still think Adrien is coming in Daddycop.
Marinette and the others knows Kim is an idiot, we know Kim is an idiot, yet they made this convoluted plan to get Ondine her first kiss like he'll understand it in Sleeping Syren.
Lila knows The Ruler got Chat Noir in her mind control, we know The Ruler got Chat Noir in her mind control, yet she didn't even tell The Ruler to take the miraculous right away in The Ruler.
These are just from this season alone, and we'd be making an essay if we add other seasons. All of which are information both us and they know well. So, do tell, where's the logic behind their action?
"Always remember that the characters' level of information is much lower than the viewers'," says man who constantly leaks classified plot info to characters.

Funny how Chloé did some bullying, was classist and had one racist take (not saying those things aren't bad) but even though she showed reasons to be doing that just for attention she never got from her mother and showing she wanted and COULD change, but she's an irredeemable monster that should go to hell and would never want or could change.
Meanwhile, Felix can:
SA ladybug
Disguise as Adrien just to make his friends hate him ON THE DAY OF HIS MOTHER'S DEATH
Betray ladybug's trust by giving Gabriel THE WHOLE MIRACULOUS BOX
Kidnap Kagami
COMMIT A GENOCIDE
By the way the last two were treated, respectively, as a romantic action and couple development and to say he's suffering and redeem him
And he's a poor little baby that would never cause any harm and deserves a miraculous.
Don't get me started on Gabriel's arc idk why Marinette is giving him any ounce of respect
Oh and no we do not consider derision canon in this household. You're allowed to not like Chloe but even Kim was made dirty
It's not that felix "can" its that the creators and this fandom don't view it as sexual assault, ergo...it didn't happen, and the impact of everything else he did is also grossly minimized and explained away as him having no choice/not knowing any better... because he's a stupid brain dead baby apparently. But he also totally graduated high school early.
Unfortunately for the creator what felix did IS sexual assault by definition (it includes unwanted kissing) and felix isn't any less of a perpetrator of it just because of his age or because the victim defended herself. But mind you, it should have never gotten to that point- ladybug was audibly saying "no", and felix just didn't care I guess? I don't think people realize how scary and gross it can feel to be backed into a corner under that type of context.
The story does sort of handle it properly at the time, but then s4 rolls around and.. the creepy behavior and lack of boundaries he displayed when trying to assault ladybug is still very much there, front and center, just now being placed under a more favorable, sympathetic light.
Rather than using this to let the audience know that felix hasn't actually changed, the story now frames these traits as misunderstood. Romantically misguided. Sympathetic. Passionate. A king who takes charge and makes his crush cry by murdering her mother in front of her. Isn't it cute how much Felix loves Kagami? #couplegoals
The show kind of acknowledges that Felix was wrong for this... but also not really? Because as of season 6, these traits are STILL there, STILL not properly addressed. Nothing says 'lack of boundaries' quite like child marriage and plotting to have your fiances mother thrown into jail for the rest of her life. Speaking of that, Tomoe is still an issue, and with her often being equated to being the female version of Gabriel who just can't learn her lesson, this inadvertently validates Felix's unaliving of her in s5 (i mean, was it really bad when we can see how much better off adrien is now without gabriel? Why wouldn't it be the same for kagami?) and now again in s6 with he and Amelie plotting against and talking shit about her behind Kagamis back because obvious they probably know that, unlike her fiance and future monster in law, Kagami doesn't want to see her mother hurt or in jail.
And this has been a pattern since s3. Any feeble attempts the show makes to show felix is in the wrong is always eventually walked back on and he always ends up being validated. He never actually learns his lesson, and the show never forces him to. It's never felix who suffers the consequences of felixs actions, it's always other people/sentibeings. Yet we are meant to display empathy and tolerance for this rich sociopath just because he had a tragic past...
But Chloes past doesn't excuse her lashing out and never learning her lesson? Was she just not abused or mistreated enough to earn her "do whatever I want and treat ppl like shit" pass? Aww :/
Felix's redemption, his entire story as a whole, was unneeded. Rich white boys already get passes and avoid consequences for their horrible behavior in the real world, they are not an oppressed group, and Felix's story isn't even unique as there's about 10 other different characters who have experienced some form of both emotional AND physical abuse coming from parents or people they trusted. These people all still get held accountable for their behavior when they start lashing out, even if it's towards someone who might have deserved it.
Its funny that the creator wants everyone to treat felix like a special little glass boy because of the abuse hes gone through and in spite of this characters actions, but his attitude towards real life "difficult cases" seems to be pretty impatient and hostile and mocking.
I don't think its right for people to harass him over chloe, to be clear, but that is not the type of thing someone does unless there is something wrong emotionally/mentally. A lot of them seem to sympathize with Chloe feeling unloved by her mother, some have even told him that, yet he continues to go at it with Chloe fans daily, telling them they're probably horrible people for relating to chloe and for liking her more than Sabrina (I mean thats not how morality works but ok) and other stupid shit. And his most recent tweets seemed particularly edged towards trying to upset them....because that definitely won't make things worse.
Mind you, Chloe fans, unlike Felix, are real human beings. These people can be going through any sort of abuse behind the internet drama, including physical, so what was the point of Felix's utter failure of a narrative if it doesn't actually motivate anyone to help or tolerate "difficult cases"?
I'm convinced that the only thing people actually got out of Felix's story is that its actually totally normal and okay to be a useless hypocrite.
The "[x] happened off screen" joke is officially one of my fave Miraculous memes now, lol.
