Hi. I go by Riv. Sometimes Sluggy. I use any pronouns and I'm a very tired adult.

I make things. Mostly textures but some have seen me tinkering in blender. I am ANTI GENERATIVE AI!! And you should be too.

My TOS is you can make use of my stuff ONLY for The Sims 2. I spend a lot of time on my textures, so credit is nice. And you cannot use my work for ANY kind of profit, including early access.

I would also appreciate it if you only make slight edits (Like categorizing it or BSOKing it) that you share on the original post and don't create a new post.

I take requests if it's a good one. I like to retexture clothes and see what I can make with old meshes. No interest in conversions from other games but I'm down for bodyshapes, age, and gender conversions.

Happy Africa Day simmers! 🌍✨

I play a subsaharan African island called Labadi as my main hood in sims 2! I wanted to share with you some of Labadi’s cultural lore.

Sugar Mama is well known in Labadi for her sweet sweet cooking. Plus, she always has candy to give to the kids around town. That’s how she snagged the nickname Sugar Mama. She has had to cook to survive, raising two boys and taking care of an elderly mama on her own. Through it all, she has successfully operated a “chop bar” - a Ghanaian term for a casual eatery of local cuisine (usually fufu and a variety of soups) for many years. Her chop bar is called Sugar Mama’s of course! Though the spot has some wear and tear…the food is bussin! Period 🤭

here's something i made 😅 thinking i will scrap it though. i've been trying to refine my blender skillz and I wanted to try to make a furniture set, with the goal being one master object. but I couldn't figure out how I wanted the textures to lay (esp since I wanted fancy carving somewhere on it.)

To my dear Sims 2 Community

I need everybody to stop, pause, make some really tight fists with their hands, now shake them out.

Now breathe in, all the way. Hold it - 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - now breathe out. Now do that twice more.

There are still efforts going on behind the scenes to get GOS back online (and Sims 2 Artists).

New hosting has been secured. The website php needs upgrading and this has not been working, but people are still working on it.

I know its hard when things happen and you don't know what's going on. But please, everyone, just calm down. Instead of panicking, jumping to conclusions, making angry posts, just chill, wait, breathe. Be kind, ask what's happening without getting mad.

And please, remember kindness and empathy. Lunie has been trying to update GOS for months, and she is exhausted. It's down right now, but not dead (yet).

im sure ur intentions r good but talking down to ppl in this tone rly isnt it, we're not unruly toddlers in need of the calm and collected adults to come in and explain the situation to us, we understand perfectly well what happened and how and we're not into it. we have every right to be upset at how badly this was bungled

this whole post is a gr8 example of the kind of fake high-ground toxic positivity that leads to situations like these developing in niche communities in the first place, bc some ppl are deemed to have 'offered so much' that ANY criticism of them no matter how valid is summarily dismissed w 'remember kindness and empathy'

kindness and empathy go both ways. where were the calls for kindness and empathy when @simnostalgia thankfully had the foresight to do his gos back up and got a hate train in response? why exactly does HL by default deserve our 'kindness and empathy' when their response has been nothing but dismissive and rude af?

this community is incredibly supportive and if any of this had been communicated properly the (frankly disproportionate to the size of the comm) amount of rly gifted programmers we have would have immediately offered to help and everyone else would have donated money and time to help back up and archive etc

ive been here 10y and have never once participated in drama or any kind of hate train, i was just abt the only person defending paywallers a few years back bc im so uncomfortable w everyone ganging up on one person, but thats literally not whats happening here at all. this is a lot of us being rightfully concerned that 1 person apparently can go rogue and hold smth that is a legit communal property hostage. i dont even care if gos is restored at this point but im rly over this kind of condescending attitude that is endemic around here

Corpo Short Dress

Hey hello, have a random download. Not usually what I make but I've been feeling like switching it up, so here's a cyberpunk/scifi-y inspired dress on a base game mesh! it might look familiar to some gamers out there :p

I thought about doing other colors besides black but black is so sleek and cool. Maybe I will return for a round two of this but for now it meets my vision

For AF, uses the dressaboveknee mesh so if you have that defaulted it might look weird. compressed and all that stuff.

this is tentatively set one, as i'd like to tackle the seashell lamps in the future. but for now, we have the bed, curtains, loveseat, end table, souvenir shelf, wall mirror, dresser, and vanity. i believe the vanity requires uni and the shelf requires bon voyage.

i did the coffee table but decided to not include it as i couldn't figure out how to recolor the tabletop so every tabletop was bright white. it didn't look good.

Mystical Paneled Walls

The walls I posted the other day. Enough people liked them so here we go! I recolored them in AlfredAskew's wood colors, so you can expect 20 colors.

I painted them in clip studio and I think it'd suit a maxis match game or a game that uses lots of TS4 stuff :3 Let me know what you think.

Face pack #1

Sory for the lack luster preview, I just can't be bothered and if I wait around till I feel like making previews, much like a lot of my cc, it will never get posted lol

So, here's what you get

I. Face Blemishes (Facepaint)

This is inspired by rosacea, although I didn't want to name the file that because it might be inaccurate lol. But I tried, I really wanted some stuff to add to my sims face that breaks up the perpetual make up smooth look. Recolored in AlfredAskew's thimble colors, they can get quite bright and red or very dark.

II. Acne Scars (Blush)

These are intended to be acne scars, but they might just... look like anything. They also add good texture to the face! I recolored them in trapping's skin colors this time and I'm very pleased with how they match my skins.

III. Eyeshadow M1 (Eyeshadow)

Eyeshadow! A while back I made lips because I wanted to figure out making makeup. Well, here's my attempt at eyeshadow. I think it came out quite pretty but it's also rather basic, so I'm not sure if it interests anyone else. They come in the thimble colors again. I was planning on using furbyq's colorful actions to make some bright/vibrant colors, but eh... maybe another time, currently my game is historical/medieval.

my least favorite part is having to pick colors for the outfits i make. i don't know if i do it very well... but i'm mostly in photoshop or bodyshop making stuff, i haven't been able to play test in a full game so maybe they look fit in gameplay.

(if anyone uses my stuff, you can always show me lol it motivates me when i can see people use my stuff)

i made a face blemish-y (inspired by rosacea) and it turned out pretty nice. depending on the color you pick, it varies in intensity (the 2nd model's for example) and it can work on darker skins.
