Oh, that’s an interesting idea. The seasons as food. Summer would taste quite like that. Iced tea, too, maybe. But then that’s not really food. I imagine winter as all things peppermint. Fresh fruit is something I try to incorporate into my daily diet, along with vegetables as well. I’m trying this new thing where I attempt to compile a plat that has at least three different colors on it. It’s supposed to add variety to a diet.
Dark chocolate is good for you in moderation. It’s the healthiest of the chocolates, at least to my knowledge. I have to try to stay away from things like tripe chocolate cookies but…I’m not always successful. My absolute favorite is something akin to what you called the mud pie. It’s like a mousse cake topped with chocolate chips, that one of my old favorite restaurants in Colorado used to make.
I think that’s as good a reason as any to like making food. It is something of an art and science isn’t it? … Hmm. I’d say I have a passion for fitness in most areas of life, including physical and mental. Physical fitness has always been something incorporated in my life, and, I find it has the power to transform people’s insides as much as their outside appearance. There’s an emotional transformation that happens as people undergo the changes in their body. It…can be quite amazing to see. So, I suppose my passion is for what it signifies. Health, fitness, the power of transformation each person holds over their own lives. Truthfully…I don’t know if I have a passion.
Do you have a passion for anything if not food, then?
I think that’s a good choice, Sir. As long as the colors are natural! There’s nothing healthier than a big salad with all kinds of colors in it. It does the body good, I think. How is your eating plan going so far?
That’s probably true, Sir. It is the one with the least ingredients, anyway! And that’s what Winter tastes like to me - hot chocolate. The real thick, rich kind, with mini marshmallows. And butter cookies to dunk in it. Not too healthy, but it’ll brighten even the gloomiest Winter day right up! I can bake a mud pie for you if you’d like, Sir. Maybe for dinner, so you’ll be able to share with everyone else and not be tempted to eat it all!
I think that sounds like passion to me, Sir. You seem passionate about what you do, which is the most important thing, isn’t it? Maybe not for some jobs, but for teachers and trainers and that kind of thing... the best ones are always the ones who are passionate about helping people do better, aren’t they? So I bet you’re a great trainer. I know I’d never thought about fitness that way - I thought it was just lifting weights!
And I don’t know, Sir. I think I’m still figuring it out. Still figuring myself out.
