Moving!
We're packing up and moving to Wordpress to hopefully move on to bigger and better things. If anyone was following me, please visit my new URL @ www.template14.wordpress.com
Anyone who follows me to my new URL will have the chance to be able to be a registered author of Template14! See ya guys!
p.s. We will keep this site working, but it won't be updated and won't be worked on ever again.
Custom theme- Under construction
I am currently creating a custom theme for Template14, so if you are ever unable to view my posts or are welcomed to my site by an unattractive template, just hold one, we should be back up within a day.
Today
Here is my list of productive things I have done today. I want to post at least one of these today so that people can rate me on what I've done, and I can push myself to be more and more productive and procrastinate less every day.
I completed two medium length (about 30 mins) requirements for a merit badge in boy scouts
that's it...
I didn't really do much today. I will try and do much more tomorrow.
See ya, guys!
The Lion King
I just watched the Lion King again. As kids' movies go, the Lion King is way up there along with How to Train Your Dragon. The Lion King, I must say is still good to me even now, though. The music is actually still catchy and fun to me. While I love my intense action movies, comedies, and horror movies, sometimes it's just awesome to watch a nice kids' movie.
On another note, The Lion King has a ton of great values which can be carried throughout life. I personally loved The Lion King 3D! Does anyone else have any favorite movies they loved to watch as kids? Post comments below!

Get back on Taskk!
It has come to my attention that a new beta application has been released, and I was able to snag myself a beta account for it! You can too if you go to this link!
Get the beta here!
Taskk is a productivity/ to-do app where you input tasks in a list format and then it automatically forms a schedule for you depending on factors such as these: priority, length of time, and available days for said task. Taskk, I think, is going to be a great addition into the to-do software market. I will post updates on Taskk and any other major things I see. Have fun with the beta!
Extreme Heat
Just a reminder to everyone to stay safe and watch out for the heat. There record-breaking temperatures all across the board, and I just thought I would take the time to remind everyone to be drinking water and staying cool. For some of my stay cool tips read on below.
Cornell System of Note Taking
The Cornell system layout is split into three sections. The left column is about 2.5 inches long and the right column is about six inches long. Then there is a "footer" row at the bottom which is about two inches high. The right column is the note taking area.
The note taking area is the area where you will place all of the notes which you take. I would recommend using the outline method for taking notes inside the note taking area, but that is what is usually used by most people anyway; I won't go to in depth on it. What it basically is though is you make a general statement, then go smaller and smaller while indenting with each new idea. Back to the Cornell system, one last recommendation for the note taking area is that you use a whole new sheet of paper for each new topic i.e. if you are taking notes on Vikings, you have one sheet for their way of life, one sheet for their food, and one sheet for their fighting styles and tendencies. The note taking area isn't the only spot, and the second column is called the cue column.
The cue column is the area in which you can write down thought provoking questions which you can later use to quiz yourself. These questions can relate to direct answers or information or they can be to infer answers based on what you already know, but I would recommend the first one. Also, the questions' location in regard to where the location of the answers' location in the note taking area should be close. The final section is the summary section.
The summary section is the place where you write a very (and I stress very) concise summary of the information you have written. Probably a maximum of two sentences would be best for this section. This summary should be written a while after you have taken down the notes and understand the information. It should be written in a way to demonstrate to yourself that you own the information and that you see how it all fits together.
If each area of the Cornell system is used correctly, then note taking will be made easier and studying the information is even easier. I will provide a template attachment below which can be used to take notes. Thanks for reading!
