This AU, there is yet another Maestro, where very few people have the opportunity to avoid the imbalance of their hearts and go back in the time . This may contain some HeadCanons... In construction! Read texts from right to left Art, Story and OCs by Konna-Nani My blog Art @kira-summit
Please don't send me your OCs in private messages, or I'll ignore them, and this will be less likely to work properly.
Before we move on, I’d like to explain the process for participating in this little contest, which—if everyone agrees—will take place. Keep in mind that I’m not officially launching the contest just yet.
- An exclusive hashtag will be created for reference, and feel free to add other BWW-related tags (non-NSFW).
- A post will be made requiring that specific hashtag; otherwise, your entry won’t be considered part of the contest.
- You’ll submit a reference illustration of the character and a brief description. Ideally, don’t give away the ending xD
-It’s important to mention at least three strengths and weaknesses or comment on their personality—keep it brief.
-You can only choose one of the tests: the Balance Test or the Opportunity Test.
-If you use the Opportunity Test, you must be familiar with the rules that have been revealed so far in this AU, or ask via DM if you have any doubts.
-The rules for the Balance Test can be based on either the game or the novel, or a mix of both, but you must explain your reasoning.
-You may only submit two OCs per person.
-A deadline will be set for submitting your entries.
-Once all entries are collected, there will be a vote for the most-voted OC, and the winner will be announced and will collaborate with me.
Details.
-OCs should ideally be human or animal (most likely), since the story is about an adventure in WonderWorld led by a maestro.
-What about maestros OCs? Well, that would mean creating a complicated lore that would have to fit in, at the very least, as well as a cult of crazy maestros (?).
If things go well, I’ll consider that possibility in the future.
-Communication must be respectful for the project to be successful.
-And I reserve the right to decide whether to continue with the winning story if there are any conflicts or disagreements—which I hope will never happen.
Since the story is quite advanced, I'll go into more detail about Tempo's WonderWatch. I think I should even show what the watch looked like originally, before it became the seal of Alicia's part of Humanity.
The watchmaker takes the girl's hands with the watch and squeezes them warmly.
"I wish it to be of great help. It's a unique watch I created and I'd rather it be worn by someone I cherish."
Dominic is invited by Balan(ce) to a stage recommended by the host himself.
The watchmaker felt comfortable to see that it is a family park with space for sports or camping. Some things are too new to him, but the clocks and different day cycle in each specific space, which confuses the old man.
After a walk, Balan calls Dominic, who approaches accompanied by a teenage girl.
The old man looks from her head to her feet and the girl becomes more nervous.
Balan touches one shoulder of the girl and gently pushes her forward.
"Mr. Dominic, may I present Alicia, owner of this stage."
The girl, stiff and looking at his side, could only utter barely a few words.
"A-a pleasure, sir."
The watchmaker stares at the teenager as he rubs his mustache with his hand, doubt in his head.
"The same, except you wear inappropriate clothing for a woman."
The girl is self-conscious and squeezes her arms tighter out of discomfort.
Balan passes between them and looks softly at old man.
"Mr. Dominic, Alicia of the future is origin, so what respect for your customs you must have."
"I am uncomfortable with her appearance, unless she changes her clothes."
"My estimable sir, to impose is is not role, less in my presence. This stage of the girl is and her right she has to manage her own heart has. If to your person it makes you uncomfortable, I will gladly to your stage back."
Balan's slick expression affected Dominic, feeling a small pulse of regret.
"No need, young Balan"-the older man expresses and then looks at the teenage girl-"I express my sincere apologies. Entering a spot like this puts me out of place."
Balan's hand rests on the watchmaker's shoulder.
"I perfectly understand your situation, my kind sir. If you wish, I'll leave you with Alicia, if you disagree, I'll send you to your stage in a jiffy."
"I would prefer to stay with the girl, at least to understand something of her origin, as a form of apology "says Domicic with his laughing green eyes.
"Ekkk!" Alicia freezes, uncomfortable and in her mind to escape the situation.
"Relax child, Mr. Dominic is an angel, you'll get along fine, my intuition says so."
A few gentle taps on the back feels Balan, being the already animated Dominic.
"Son, you're already repeating my phrase, how proud you make me."
"It's what my being says, sir. That from you I learned "
Laughter and a short conversation follows to end and Balan plead from the visitors.
Dominic and Alicia continued with the talk, a talk that gradually becomes more relaxed and the two share interests, family issues and other things. Alicia begins to appreciate the old man's wisdom and he begins to wonder how society has changed in Alicia's timeline.
After a while, the two become friends and confidants even though they don't meet often, but they often visit each other's stages to hang out.
An uncertain time later, Dominic arrives at ClockPark, Alicia's stage, for his routine chat and also to listen to her sing, as he usually does.
The old man finds Alicia on the soccer field, watching as the girl plays with the ball doing tricks with her graceful legs. The old man was impressed to see this sport for the first time.
"You are amazing young girl! What game is it?"
"Soccer, it's a team game where you have to throw the ball into the opposing team's net. Now I'm just doing warm-up exercise to pass the time."
Alicia stops and looks at the clock post outside the field. She notices 15:28 in the afternoon with a temperature of 21°c. Alicia feels a little discomfort and throws the ball into the arc with precision and high velocity. The ball hitting the net again impresses the watchmaker.
"Let's go elsewhere, Mr. Dominic."
The old man sees an annoyed look on Alicia's face. He nods and follows her.
The next place is a gymnastics hall. Inside, there is a giant basketball court. Alicia picks up a ball and bounces it, then throws it into the ring. Ali picks up the ball and continues in succession. Finished, Ali looks at the scoreboard clock, and sees 12:31, temperature 24°c. Again the teenager's face puckers with anger. Her watchmaker friend just looks at her.
The girl throws the ball into the basket of balls, ending her routine.
The older man follows the girl out of the gym.
As the two walk through the park, the old man notices new technology. Electric streetlights, modern telephone booths, flyers with curious designs and then, a greenhouse with beautiful bougainvillea covering the glass walls on the roof. Dominic was amazed at such beauty, and remembered how right he was with Balan(ce). The teenage girl stops and looks at the clock at the top of the greenhouse, with 11:48 and 24°c displaying. The girl lets out a sigh to calm her discomfort and Dominic, notices the reason for Alicia's discomfort.
The watchmaker approaches the girl, takes Alicia's right hand and from Dominic's leather apron, pulls out a pocket watch and places it in the girl's hands.
"I see the reason for your anger, so I suggest you wear this."
"A pocket watch? It's beautiful!" exclaimed Ali in surprise, "Why are you giving it to me?" she asked.
"I noticed that in every area of this park you have a fixed schedule and weather that doesn't change, and that frustrates you. So, you can look at this watch and settle in."
Alicia was speechless, holding the clock in her hands.
"You're a very meticulous girl, but I also see that you hate it when nothing here changes. I understand you, sometimes the routine locks you in and makes you despair. So you should at least get to know more scenery and talk to more people."
The watchmaker takes the girl's hands with the watch and squeezes them warmly.
"I wish it to be of great help. It's a unique watch I created and I'd rather it be worn by someone I cherish."
A tear in Ali's eye falls running down her cheeks.
"T-thank you. Thank you so much, Mr. Dominic!"-the girl expresses with a strong tone while crying with emotion.
The old man expresses his consolation by caressing the girl's head.
A few minutes of comfort. Ali invites Dominic to the greenhouse and the girl sings along with her Singer Birds costumes, creating a soft and calming chorus that alleviates the old man's troubled heart.
They go down to the basement and Yejun observes the immense space of the place, something very rare for a workshop, but he does not take importance since his eyes are only attentive to the little light emitted by the small candles that barely illuminate the dark corridor and avoids stumbling on the stairs.
The old man opens the giant door with his two keys and gently, the man with the slanted eyes feels a soft wind touching his face. The scent was familiar and looking straight ahead, the amateur watchmaker could not believe his eyes.
"Son, I present to you my watchmaking workshop."
The workshop was too spacious, more so than his house. It was a place probably bigger than a soccer stadium. Yejun, what struck him most was not the varieties of watches on display, but the gigantic incomplete watch.
"That clock..."
"This is a simulation of the job that the Ministry of Public Works asked for. This clock, would be an important monument to represent the monarchy that governs us. But, I still can't find the solution."
"Do you have a problem?"
The old man takes off the handkerchief covering his head and wipes his face with it, showing his shiny bald head. Yejun reminded him of the round clocks he usually fixes, made of very old metal.
"Emmm...one of the grenages of the minute hand gets stuck only at one minute of movement. I've lubricated and adjusted the parts, but I can't seem to fix the problem."
"I understand, what about changing the displacement system? And find the necessary space?"
"That's a good idea, but I've already done that."
The old man takes out from a wooden box 5 thick yellowish paper folds and opens them. They show different mechanisms and design and assembly hypotheses for the giant clock.
"Sir, these are all useful, why don't you apply one of them?"
"Argh! It's just that for them to work, I have to find 'correct' parts for the rotation, so..."
"Then I hand you this."
Yejun shows him the piece he took on his previous tour route.
The man barely opens his hand, but it is closed by the hands of the wise watchmaker.
"No son, I made this myself and I must find the solution to the problem. That is the essence of a craftsman, a professional watchmaker. We manage, we create the parts from scratch, and from our hands and brains. And I, with my vast experience, know that I have the ability to solve this problem." The old man expresses his determination to the young amateur "Besides, this is WonderWorld, I don't need to fix watches, but this place has helped me heal my sorrows a little."
"Sorrows?"
"This place tests your perseverance and heart, in my case, my wife has fallen ill and I think I'm in the same condition."
"Sir, I..."
"Life is like that, we all go away and leave things in our land. I was able to understand this when I met maestro Balan, the girl Alicia, you and the others. Balan, he recommended that I go to the real world, but I asked him for a little time to leave this watch, as my last legacy."
"You are awesome...and I...the truth is.... I took this piece, I mean, I stole them." The man declares regretful of his act.
"But it's not too late to put them back either... "Dominic expresses with a proud expression.
"I suppose. I will return them...if I want to be the best watchmaker, I must learn to fix my creations, not steal them from others."-Yejun expresses his determination by clenching his fist with the stolen piece."-"Sir, you have opened my eyes. I don't know what I would do without your help."
"I love it when young people follow in good footsteps. You will do well, because you assume your mistakes, but you must move to correct them."
"Yes..."
From the dark stairs, a black rabbit-like creature appears and runs towards Yejun. Clinging on the man's legs to reach the hand with the object, the creature manages to remove the piece. Wanky'u's goal accomplished, the little guy takes off at full speed as time recedes, thanks to the power of reversal.
The men, out of the time distortion, notice the theft and follow the little Negati.
"Partly yes, but sometimes, I feel like it's in my blood."
After the farewell to Alicia, the amateur watchmaker and the experienced watchmaker go to Mr. Dominic's stage. Yejun, who is not a visitor, does not have a maestro to guide him, therefore, he knows nothing about the place, and the old man, kindly describes to him everything he learned with Balan(ce) about WonderWorld.
Yejun did not know the reason for his arrival, who is the host who would guide him and, what test he would take. Everything was confusing for both of them but they keep calm to avoid conflicts like what happened earlier with Alicia.
"While we wait for Balan on my stage, I will show you more of my projects, it's special one."
"Special?" a word that made Yejun, who already admires the expert's works, quite excited.
"That's right. since you have enough capabilities to understand the art of watchmaking mechanics, and I guess more advanced than me, on a technical level."
"You know I'm a watchmaker?"
"And I got it right once again, jojojo~"
"Ah?"
In Dominic's workshop, the gentleman pours a cup of coffee. The taste of the coffee was out of the ordinary for Yejun, a man who has always drunk all kinds of coffee, this one seemed to him to have a very accentuated but delicious flavor.
The watchmaker sits down and looks at feature man, to draw conclusions from his hunch.
"Your name is Yejun, right?"
"That's right, Sun-Yejun."
"Mmmm... from your features you must be from the eastern countries, but you dress strangely and your hair is horrible." Yejun didn't like the comment but kept his composure by closing his eyes and sighing at his discomfort.
"It's part of my job, I depend on it, that's why these clothes."
"I see, and you don't work in watchmaking or any specific craft?"
"No. Where I live and with the technology that exists, people have no interest in this anymore. I just do it because it's my passion...a passion my late grandmother taught me."
"I guess that's what motivates you in life."
"Partly yes, but sometimes, I feel like it's in my blood."
The expert goldsmith and craftsman watches Yejun's hands as he drinks the cup of coffee and the old watchmaker finishes his coffee, stands up and touches the shoulder of the seated Yejun.
"Young man, I want you to show me your skills. I need to check something."
Their surname is renowned for its association with prominent artisans, watchmakers, and merchants in their main countries of origin.
In the early generations, they worked in the family businesses until, after several generations, some lost interest in these jobs and decided to pursue their own passions; however, some of their descendants have rekindled this old family interest and continue the tradition. This family has spread across several continents but remains largely unknown.
Guido, a direct descendant of the Leggero family, learned the art of watchmaking and craftsmanship at the demand of his own family, but he did not complete his training because he wanted to study business administration, although he occasionally creates jewelry solely as a gift for his wife.
Chris has also inherited this family talent, but it remains to be seen whether he truly wishes to follow in the family’s footsteps or forge his own way.
