Perhaps...Perhaps...

Kara raised an eyebrow, not having heard this story before. She knew that there had been a spark there between them but she hadn’t known that for Cristina it had started so early. Maybe one day she’d be told the full tale. Today, however, was not that day. Looking down at her bag, she blinked several times before realizing what the other woman might have thought. Fuck.
“I came here first thing after my mission was over. I got asked to go to drinks but I knew that I needed to come see you. To talk to you. If you–If you’re wanting me to stay.. I can. I just don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable. You still have the really comfy couch right? The one from my old dorm room?”
Cristina did not know if she liked being the more emotional one in a given conversation. She was starting to get the impression that her feelings were overwhelming her solid sense of logic than usual.
“I would hate to stop you from spending time with your friends, if that is what you wanted. Work friends?” Not that Cristina knew particularly much about the paladin people. She had little interest in the work outside of how it affected Kara’s health and time. (If Cristina had really thought about it, she would have realized that Taylor was a coworker and not a sassy and nosy child that had needed to borrow a cell phone)
“I did not get ready of any of your possessions, if that is what you are asking,” responded Cristina, trying to gently tug Kara in the direction of seating. “I did rearrange a couple of the rooms to create a more efficient layout for the purpose of cleaning, though.” That was probably too much information. Most people got bored in conversations regarding improving the efficacy of routine tasks. She did not understand why automation of processes should not be celebrated. “But yes. Please. If you have it in you, let us hydrate and have a talk. After that, perhaps you could indulge me in taking care of you.”
