The Suprachiasmatic Nucleus (SCN) is the brains primary master clock that controls circadian rhythms in physiology and behavior. It acts to synchronize peripheral cellular clocks throughout the body.
I created the music on this project by being the sequencer.
By using a click track in Reaper as a metronome i scratched out records and orchestrated the beats.
Even though there was a metronome to keep time i kept the raw human element with the imperfections untouched as that's what makes the music sound organic and free flowing.
The solos are improvised and left raw to capture that moment in time.
All the music was created by scratching.
I wanted to go back to my roots of where I started before i got samplers & synths and the tools i used and still use today are the turntable, mixer and records.
Some of my earliest recordings were of layering scratches on old 4 track tape recorders.
Filthy turntable scratch music
Most sounds were from the Volume 4 lathe cut record of "Sounds for turntable Music"
With additional sounds from dusty bin wax.
All Sequenced live from scratch.
Arranged in mix tape format and perfect for bumping in the headphones to zone out to.

This is part two of the Alternating Currents.
The title "Alternating Currents" refers to the audio and electricity that is alternating between voltages and timbre .
I got inspiration for the title from when I was on a overnight bikepacking mission up the California coast. I saw the oceans currents violently crashing into the beach sand. The sound of the oceans waves creating a rhythm
Part 1 of Alternating Currents came out in 2022 and was all composed using the Orthogonal Devices modular system for composing .
Part 2 continues in that same style but with more structured compositions with a more grimy darker feel.
Composed and arranged in mixtape format for deep thoughts and ideas.
Freestyle scratch
Pideck Synth scratch mixer.
turntable music filmed by the homie Junebug who’s cutting the low frequency sounds.
Filthy turntable scratch music
All sounds were from the Volume 3 lathe cut record of "Sounds for turntable Music"
All Sequenced live from scratch.
Galvanism_Four concludes the Galvanism series with Grimy Instrumentals and noise.
