( he clears his throat and tilts his chin upwards to meet niles’ gaze at an even level. when he walks past him, he purposely attempts to brush his hand against niles’ frame. ugh. he was so certain these feelings had fleeted, he still couldn’t help that blistering feeling in his chest growing when he saw niles. the levels of comfort and security that the other’s presence offered to him.
if i’m being honest, i purposely never got around to researching the stars. i… do enjoy the more callow approach to the stars. not knowing everything leaves me in a state of wonder and fancy. as childish as it may seem i will admit to making up my own names and maps in my head.
( a slight blush runs around leo’s face, but he quickly shakes it off with his abnormally fast reflexes. )
i must also admit that the idea of seeing the stars in winter enlivens me.
( when the brisk frost hit his skin, leo visibly tenses, but years of practice allow him to . his eyes leave niles’ own and his heart rate speeds up only slightly. he was well aware earlier that a coat wasn’t enough, but he was also aware that he wouldn’t be able to substitute it with what he wanted to very easily. )
if you don’t mind… my arm is rather cold.
( as quickly as possible to avoid as much anxiety as he can, he loops his arm into niles’ and lets out a heavy huff. a heavy pang hits his chest. niles’ touch made his heart beat a lot faster than it was earlier. )
( holding his gaze, he didn’t notice they were so close. it wasn’t until there was a brief gentle brush of contact that it came into realization. a fleeting look of question came onto his features for a mere second, looking down in confusion at the foreign feeling of being in contact with someone merely as being unintentional and gentle. it was just… odd.
all of the contact he shared with another, that he could recall at the moment, held hostilities and or foul intentions. but the mistaken contact between the two was different, sending a shiver through him. )
aye, the stars and all above hold a mysterious aura about them. we do not know much about them at all due to them being far away, which is why i wanted to learn more about them and the fables of the shapes they form.
( he chuckles gently at the remark of being childish, shaking his head. )
not childish but rather endearing and thoughtful. does it now…? to be graced with you on such an experience then is special.
( following behind, he well sees the physical recoiling at the drop of temperature. it was colder than he anticipated but it didn’t bother him for he could easily adapt to whatever obstacle placed before him. he had to endure much harsher winters without the option of returning into a warm place for the night, he slept in it. a short stargazing trip outside was nothing but prince leo was not him.
his mouth was in midst of opening to speak before he was cut off by the sudden coiling around his arm, gasping as he tenses in mere shock. he stares at him, silent, his mouth closed again as he tries to process exactly what was happening. the contact wasn’t rejected by far but again, something he was far from accustomed to. everywhere their bodies were meeting was burning with alarm, as if he should pull away but he ignores those pleads with almost ease.
he swallows the hardness in his throat into his knot of a stomach, shaking his head. his face and ears begin to burn as well but not as intensely. subconscious pleads to the gods begin to fill his mind as he stares dumbly at him, silently hoping the burning on his features would go unnoticed. )
no… i do not mind. it is pretty cold out here.
