All content should be Kunoichi-centric. Feel free to include other characters but the main focus should be on the favored badass lady.
Kunoichi content can range from any village and any time period. Meaning: Create content about any BAMF lady you want to! From the Founder's Era to Boruto, all content is welcome.
Ships are welcomed but no underage content/relationships. All characters should be of proper age (18+) if the fic contains sexual content.
When posting to be reblogged please tag/include all of the content warnings, along with what prompts you’ve chosen.
Make sure to @ kunoichi-central when posting on Tumblr or @ snickiebear if posting on Twitter. Use the #kunoichiweek2022 tag also!
Works should not be posted before the day of the prompt and please do not combine prompts from multiple days if you can. (Though if inspiration strikes, then just tag all the prompts you've used)
No ship/character bashing. We are here to have fun and boost the ladies, not bring down someone. If you don't like something, keep scrolling.
How the event works:
The overall week has a theme to which participants are encouraged to pull some inspiration from. Everyday will include its own themed line, two prompts, and two songs. Tenten would do almost anything for the chance to spend one more day with her teammate, friend and love of her life - but would she be willing to change the course of time to bring him back for good?
She’s heard of the phrase “time heals all wounds”, but no amount of training could have prepared her for this.

Elegant, extravagant, easily the most beautiful thing anyone would ever experience in their lives. She could see it all now. Her dress, red and white, would catch everyone’s eyes. The party would be one of the grandest celebrations in history and the honeymoon. Oh, the honeymoon. She couldn’t wait to get out of Konoha and celebrate with her new wife. They would see the world together.
“Tenten,” Lee pressed a finger into her cheek, yelping when she turned her head and snapped her teeth at him as if she was going to bite the appendage off. “I was just checking on you. It’s rare to see you so distracted.”
“I’m not distracted,” she insisted. ”I am focused on very important things.”
“You’re dreaming up a wedding with Sensei’s friend,” Neji rolled his eyes when she glared at him. “Am I wrong?”
“What, does the Byakugan let you see people’s thoughts now?” it didn’t. Not only was that impossible, but Neji would be a lot less confused about their Sensei’s personality if he had a way to read the man’s mind. Lee’s as well.
“I don’t need to see your thoughts,” he shot back. “You look like a love-sick puppy.”
“A puppy!?” The insult was too much for her to handle. “How dare you!” There were so many animals he could have used instead, but he chose a puppy. As if she was some sort of fluffy dog begging at the beautiful woman’s feet for scraps of love and attention. “I have dignity, thank you.”
“Do you, though?” If their Sensei wasn’t right there she would have whipped out a scroll and summoned an array of weapons to beat Neji up with. It might take a few hours to get through his defenses, but she wouldn’t give up until she got at least one hit in. “Seriously Tenten, you’re worse than Kakashi when he’s staring at Gai-sensei.”
Kakashi?
Kakashi!?
First, he had the audacity to compare her to a dog, and now he was taking it one step further and comparing her to that mopey paint brush-haired dork? The disrespect was endless.
“Have you no shame, Neji?” she grumbled under her breath. “Kakashi? That ridiculous-”
“Tenten,” Lee spoke up.
“Embarrassing, no class-”
“Tenten, seriously,” now he was pointing behind her with a panicked look on his face. “Stop.”
“He compared me to Kakashi!” She argued. “How much more insulting can a person get?”
“Ma, I don’t know,” her shoulders stiffened when she heard a familiar bored voice behind her. “He could have compared you to Jiraiya-sama. A lot of people seem to consider that a pretty big insult.”
Her life flashed before her eyes. Every precious moment blurred together in an instant. Far too short for her to focus on the best memories, but long enough that she had turned to look at the man now kneeling behind her. A playful, innocent smile greeted her when her eyes met his. A sure-fire sign that he was about to end her life.
It was a look she had only seen on his face once before, and she’s pretty sure the person who received it was never heard from again. Gai-sensei assured them that the guy was fine, but he never showed up at the Dango shop again after that day.
There was a six-foot hole somewhere outside of Konoha with a body inside of it, and she was about to get one of her own. She only hoped he would have the decency of picking a pretty spot to bury her.
“So, what are we talking about?””
“Tenten’s new crush,” Neji ignored her when she glared at him. A silent warning to shut his mouth, which he chose not to heed. “She won’t stop staring.”
“New crush?” Kakashi tilted his head. “Who is it?”
Wonderful. Now Konoha’s local dork was going to get in on ‘tease Tenten hours’. Just what she needed in her life. A six-foot hole sounded a lot better than sitting her being teased by a man who thought Jenken was a good game for challenges.
Maybe, if she just focused on the pretty lady and that perfect dream future, she could ignore them.
“It’s Gai-Sensei’s friend,” Pointing to the spot where their Sensei stood speaking to the goddess in question, Lee sighed. “I think Tenten had expectations of her future that are a little too high.”
Doubt? In her teammate? Unacceptable.
“As if it’ll go anywhere,” Neji scoffed, leaning to the side just in time to dodge the Kunai she chucked at him. “She’s what, fourteen years older than us?”
“I can wait until I’m older.” Then she would sweep the beauty off of her feet and the age difference would be forgotten by everyone around them.
“Well,” Kakashi cringed when she glared at him. “She’s a little older than that.”
“Alright, twenty years,” Neji corrected himself. “The point still stands.”
“Older.” now she knew Kakashi was messing with her. There was no way that beauty of a woman was more than thirty-five.
“Twenty-five years?” Lee tried.
“Older.” the lies were getting worse by the second.
“Thirty years?”
“Almost there.”
Throwing her arms up into the air, Tenten let out a loud, pitiful groan. “I refuse, refuse, to believe you. There is no way she’s that much older than me.”
“Want to make a bet?”
It was a bad idea. Downright terrible life choices were being made at this moment, but she couldn’t resist. Kakashi had to be pulling her leg. He was just jealous she wasn’t afraid to admit her feelings unlike him.
“Prove without a doubt that she is at least twenty years older than me and I will…” giving herself a moment, she went over her options. Something that would be embarrassing but not so bad she would want to die. “I will pay for your first date with Gai-Sensei.”
“You know it will probably end up being an eating competition,” Neji reminded her, sighing when she nodded her head. “Well, it’s your money you’re wasting.”
“I wouldn’t mind a free night out…”
“Date,” she clarified. “You’ll still have to gather up the courage to actually ask him out.” The least she could get out of this if everything went terribly wrong, was the opportunity to embarrass Kakashi just a little in return for all of her suffering.
A treat to herself.
“Agreed,” turning his attention to the beautiful woman who had caught Tenten’s attention, he held up a hand and began to wave. “Hey, Mom!”
Her soul flew from her body when that beautiful, too good for this world, woman turned around and waved back at Kakashi. Like some sort of cruel joke, the universe had created just to punish her for a crime she must have committed when she was younger. Or perhaps a crime she would commit in the future.
“M-Mom!?” She appreciated the effort Neji made to keep the laughter out of his voice, though she was certain it was mostly because he didn’t want to be caught laughing by Gai-Sensei. Unfortunately, his enjoyment of her suffering was written clearly in his eyes. Eyes that were looking directly at her. Watching and waiting to see what she would do.
“Well, she did give birth to me,” with a hand full of salt in his words, Kakashi rubbed his victory right into the fresh, gaping wound in her heart. “Oh, and Tenten?”
“Yes?” she asked through clenched teeth.
“Sushi,” his eyes lit up with amusement when she glared at him. “Gai asked me out yesterday for a Sushi dinner.”
Of course, he did.
Why wouldn’t the universe turn her embarrassment into complete and utter humiliation? It only seemed to make sense.
First, it presented her with the perfect woman. Allowed her to sit there and fawn over her beauty. Even gave her time to plan her dream wedding. Then it swooped in and snatched those dreams away in an instant. Mocked her for even daring to have them in the first place.
“So, if she’s your mother,” Lee mused, tapping a finger against his arm as he processed everything that had just transpired in front of him. “Does that make Tenten your step-mom if they marry?”
There it was.
The words that finished the job and killed her on the spot. There was nothing left to do except lay down and wait for death to take her.
“Drama queen,” Neji’s words meant nothing to her. The damage was too deep. Just the thought of Kakashi-
No, she refused to entertain it. Her dreams were shattered and her soul had departed. Her last moments would not be spent thinking of such terrible realities.
“Considering my mother would never marry someone so much younger than her, no,” Kakashi answered regardless of Tenten’s wishes for this entire conversation to end. “But you could look on the bright side, Tenten.”
“There’s a bright side?” Her heart was broken and her world crumbled to ash. How could there be a bright side to that?
“My mom comes from the land of Iron,” he explained, chuckling when she turned her head to glare at him. “She has some pretty nice swords at home that I’m sure she would show to you, as long as you don’t try to flirt with her. Please.”
The mission was simple - well it was supposed to be anyway. Get in, locate the weapons and get out. She wasn’t supposed to be fighting for her life against aliens and humans alike - aliens and humans who all seemed to want her dead.

@tentenappreciation - Day 1: Teamwork/Future
Warnings: Blood and violence, hostage situations, mild swearing
Tenten is consumed by her Work to complete the most complex seal of her life yet. Her hand moves on it's own, she doesn't know what it's going to do, but she sees it in her dreams, traces scripts with her fingers in her palm, and knows she must finish it. It beckons.
It doesn't occur to her to be suspicious until it's too late.
Tenten, age 16, chuunin, is stolen into another time. Why her? Why now? For what purpose? Who is this woman who knows her name?
A Sensei. She almost couldn’t believe her ears when Shino sat down beside her at the Dango shop and announced his decision to become a Sensei at the Acadamy. Apparently, while he was searching for a wedding gift for Hinata and Naruto’s wedding he had come to a realization about his goals for the future. Learned things about himself that helped him choose the path he wanted to follow.
It made sense. The war was over and the world was at peace for the first time in SHinobi history. There was no longer a demand for the strongest Shinobi to be out in the field taking missions.
For the first time since they had become Genin, they had a choice in how they wanted to use all of the skills they had been taught. Shino used that opening and made his choice. Meanwhile, she had done none of the soul searching that he had. The future and whatever it held for her was still a blur.
It felt like everyone was leaving her behind. Moving forward with their lives and dreams while she was stuck in the present lost and confused.
“Tenten,” Shino spoke in a soft voice, eyes focused on the swarm of beetles hovering directly in front of him. “Have I upset you with my choice?’
“What? No! Shino that’s not- I-” words escaped her. How was she supposed to ease Shino’s concerns without dropping all of the fears building up inside of her onto his shoulders?
Setting her hands on her lap, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Giving herself a moment to process all of the thoughts swirling around in her brain.
Her future was still unclear. There were so many questions she wanted to answer about herself before she decided what to do with her skills, but it was beginning to feel like she was dragging her feet. Stopping herself from growing while everyone else continued forward with their lives.
Lee had requested a position as a Jonin-Sensei as soon as he had gotten his promotion to Jonin.
Shikamaru was training under Captain Yamato to become Naruto’s tactical advisor in the future.
Hinata and Choji had retired from Shinobi Life.
Ino was training to become the leader of T&I while Sakura trained to take over as the head of Konoha’s hospital and medical corps.
Neji was focusing all of his energy at the moment on making meaningful, permanent changes to his clan with both Hinata and Hinabi’s support, and now Shino had found the path he wanted to take, leaving her as the last person in their group who still had no clear goals for the future.
“I guess,” there were too many thoughts in her mind. Focusing on just one was difficult, if not completely impossible. Endless worries for a future that was still so unclear to her. “Where do I fit into this world? What’s my place, and when am I going to find it?”
While she was spilling her guts, one of Shino's beetles flew towards her hands and landed with a little bounce. A small gesture she had come to understand as Shino reaching out. Offering his support in a way that fits him.
Raising her hand, she brought it up to eye level so she could see the beetle a little bit better. Its wings were stretched out from its body, still fluttering a little as it settled.
“There’s no rush to figure things out,” A hand settled on her shoulder. “With the villages working together now there’s no worries of war being declared at any time without warning. We have a chance to slow down and enjoy ourselves. A gift that the generations before us were never given.”
As always, he had a good point.
“What if I never figure it out?” It was probably a dumb question, but she couldn’t help but ask. “What if I just spend the rest of my life doing nothing of value?”
“Impossible,” his beetles began to swarm her, offering a sense of comfort while Shino reached out with his free hand and cupped her face. “Your existence means everything to me. To your friends. No matter what you do, how grand or small it is, it will have value. You will always have value, Tenten.”
Once again Shino proved he was a master of words. Ripping away some of her most pressing worries with just the right reassurances. There were still fears she had of course. Concerns that would continue to plague her mind until she figured out what direction she wanted her life to go, or perhaps even forever. For now, though, with Shino by her side and his beetles fluttering in the air like tiny dancers putting on a show just for them, she could let go of them.
“A Sensei,” she hummed, reaching out the hand that her little friend was sitting on and watching as it flew off to join all of the others. “Does that mean I have a new place to-”
Shino’s hand moved away from her cheek, clamping down over her mouth before she could finish her thought. Judging by the way he turned his face away from her as if hiding his embarrassment, he had understood what she was about to say.
“We will have to…discuss that later,” her mouth curled upwards into a triumphant smirk, plans for all the things she could do already beginning to form in her mind. “Behind closed doors.”
Whatever the future held for her, no matter how bad it might be, she couldn’t wait to meet it head-on with Shino by her side. There was nothing the world could toss her way that she wasn’t confident she could face with his support.
