WOOF! Finally got some DT art done! I forgot how complex some of the designs are in FFXIV. Pretty in 3D, a pain to draw.

Anyway, Odtsetseg with her son, Temujin. Yes, she named him after his grandpa. Au ra figured she would take the little guy to Tuliyollal, so he wouldn't have to grow up in a country where stories of his mother's exploits are prominent.

Also don't worry, he was with her when a certain event happened.

If they wanted to kill him, she would spare such pleasantries, or he can only assume as much. He stays kneeling and small, as he undoes his bandages, exposing the raw red skin that now made up most of his arm. Burns. They still ache, and his ring and middle finger are fused at the base, unable to separate, from the heat of the melted Ultima weapon's hull that dripped onto his fingers.

The old bandages are set aside covered and dirt and and other wear and tear, and he pulls some other bandages from his pockets, they are yellowed, but well washed and cleaned, and he begins his ritual of wrapping his arm once more.

You know what I love about FFXIV? How a majority of the villains kind of reflect Odtsetseg in some twisted way.

Like, first there's the Ascians. They basically lost everything they knew and are trying in vain to recover it. With the fall of Hotgo, and even the loss of Haurchefant and her father Odtsetseg knows what that grief feels like at least by some degree, only unlike them she accepts the fact that they will never return no matter what she does. I could go into more detail about the unsundered specifically, but I will leave it here for now.

Zenos kind of represents her thrill-seeking side. Only difference is he takes it up to an insane degree.

Garlemald as a whole kind of reflects the culture Odtsetseg grew up in when it comes to violent conquests, albeit on a more grandiose scale.

Even Nidhogg in Heavensward, kind of represents au ra's wrath when her father perished.

Truly, she has heard, felt and thought about these things.

- Au ra would not say she despised the man, as before. However it would be folly of her to ignore their mutual, past aggressions towards each other entirely. Thus came the awkward silence that would ensue between them, whenever life forced them to be in each other's presence.
