A little bit about this Tumblr account and the person behind it
Well if you like J.T. Walsh as much as I do, you’ve come to the right place. If you don’t know who he was, now is the time to learn. He was one of the greatest character actors of the late 80s and throughout the 90s until his untimely death of a heart attack at the age of 54 on February 27 1998. Perhaps you don’t know his name but could easily recognize his face as he often played heavy hitting characters involved in corruption, government, kidnapping and the like.
The void he left after his death is immeasurable. Besides his legacy of being one of the greatest villains on screen, he was also a fascinating man. He had a strong interest in metaphysics like anthroposophy and Rudolf Steiner’s teachings and was also fluent in German. He was a lifelong Democrat, having actively participated in Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) demonstrations while he was a student at the University of Rhode Island.
