For me it used to be : experienced, fast, productive, educated I thought I had to have everything figured out before I can start with just about anything, but especially my business. I’ve since learned that there are 3 types of educators: 1. Expert 2. Researcher 3. Role Model No. 1 has it all figured out - they’re the final destination of where we all want to get No. 2 learns by talking to others & constantly collects new info And No. 3 is the type that takes you along on the journey and shows you how they figure it out as they go Guess which one is the most persuasive? Understanding that I’m a 🔴🟢 and being able to guess what other people are has been so influential in building better relationships - with myself + others. 🟢 Analytical, detail oriented but also prone to overthinking and missing the big picture for all the small details 🔴 Competitive, results driven, action taker. But can come across as aggressive & moody. This knowledge has helped me give myself credit for my strengths + watch out for possible pitfalls. I never get truly vulnerable on here. I share my life, business, tips, encouragement - but when something happens that rocks my world - I behave like an introvert 👻 I realized this when i walked out of a hair salon this week looking very different than I imagined I would. 💇🏻‍♀️ Hair is a small thing, and I know it will look fine in 4 weeks time - but it was enough to send me into 24hrs of social media silence and a reluctance to get back on camera. My intention on here is to give a full picture of who I am & what life running an online business looks like. While I will always be an introvert (I think) transparency is extremely important to me, because of the value that it can bring to others. Seeing that my mentors are “human” were some of the most impactful moments of my life. So here I go, embracing VULNERABILITY fully on here, just like I do if you meet me IRL. I don’t like having a boss… 😱 Can anyone else relate..or is this just me lol I don’t like being told what to do and when to do it, and I especially don’t like doing things that don’t make sense “just because I said so” All this does is bring our my sass 🤣 Maybe it’s my upbringing, maybe I was just born this way..idkidk 🥵 I used to think I was pretty much useless in the workplace and my only chance at success was to marry a rich guy who would do the work for me..🤑 This sounds like a good plan - but believe me!!!! Walking this path completely destroyed my self esteem & energy. I gave away my power, WILLINGLY, to other people. I told myself I needed to be saved by someone else in order to survive. 🤒 I hit rock bottom when I realized I can’t marry anyone I don’t love, and all the rich guys I was meeting were not tugging at my heart strings. 💔 Then Micah came into my life, stole my heart in a single beat…and I knew I’d have to figure something out. I was not willing to let our love die because I couldn’t figure out how to make money. That’s when I discovered that there is a way to work for myself, without having all the details figured out..That I can start a business that comes in a box, with a full manual, and a community to support me….why YES!! THANK YOU!!! Entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone, but it brings me alive more than anything else I’ve ever done. I’m so proud of what I built for my family, and so excited to see where it will take us in the future.
