“Any chance of a normal life I have is gone. I will never be able to approach those I love. Not like this.” she said, motioning to herself. “It will be better for them if I just stay away.” a sigh escaped her, but she nodded softly. She knew she wouldn’t win this argument. “Fine. But if you think I’ll let you get killed, you’re sadly mistaken. Like I said, I’m not letting you off the hook that easy.”
“I’m not going to let those men kill me,” he grinned. “Are you feeling any better?” He squeezed her softly before standing, “Give me a few minutes to draw the out, I want them all on me.”
He stormed back to his truck, all these years she had been here. All these years… He put the truck in drive and peeled out as he headed for the Tyrannosaurus enclosure. He made sure the create as much chaos as possible, crashing through the gate surrounding the enclosure and blaring his horn. Victor drove straight at a great many workers before most all off them jumped on respective vehicles and chased after him.
Vex nodded softly. “A bit. At least I know there is something that can be done now.” She said softly. When he left, she waited for a few minutes before taking off, running as fast as her legs could carry her, weaving in and out of trees. It took all of five minutes to reach the paddock. And there was no one in sight.
She nodded to herself, typing in her code to enter the enclosure. She slipped in, making sure the door was shut tightly behind her before she pressed on, searching for the t-rex.
How far to draw them out was the question that ran through his mind. They were on his tail, but what now? Surely he couldn’t hide from so many people. But he drove on, further and further, wondering how long it would be before Vex encountered her mother.
“Rexy?” She called softly. There was nothing. She normally answered. “Amilia? Mom? I know it’s you.” That got a reaction, a quiet growl. At least she knew where she was. “Mom. I-It’s me. It’s Camilla. Your daughter. Th-They got to me too. That’s why I look like this.” She took a shaky breath and continued. “Mom, please.” Her voice cracked then.
Her attention snapped towards the sound of the door opening, eyes going wide at the sight of guards. Shit! They must have stayed behind. She knew this was a stupid idea.
Amilia knew that someone was in her paddock, in her territory. But who was brave enough to do such a thing? She didn’t care, more food for her, she thought as she prowled over closer to the gate. She heard a voice. it was - familiar, somehow. And the small creature was saying what? She was it’s mother? “You’re my daughter?” she echoed in disbelief. But listened as she spoke. They ‘got’ to her? What was that supposed to mean?
Amilia looked up as she watched the enclosure doors open. A multitude of guards entering her domain with their prods, and weapons. SHe knew not whether to believe this ‘Camilla’ but figured to trust her, simply because she had not come to harm her. “Get behind me,” she roared before charging towards the men that entered.
Victor looked over his rear view mirror when he noticed all the people that had been chasing him were now turning around, “Damn it all!’ he sapped the wheel and spun around. He was going back to Vex.
“Of all people to get stuck on an island with… Why did it have to be you?”
“You’re not stuck with me sister,” he responded in a matter of fact tone, “You’re perfectly capable of walking away and I don’t need you if you’re just going to be difficult.”
“Good, I’m not ‘dumb’"He stared back at her, contemplating making her go look for branches just to see how she would feel. “Fine. Yeah, we do this together or not at all.”
“Alright. I get it.” She sighed before running a hand through her blonde hair. She didn’t care for this man at all but was willing to push that aside for the sake of survival. Rexy nodded before she began to walk. “Glad to know that you want to work together.”
“Well, yeah, common goal here. Survival.” he was a little annoyed that she had assumed he would be against working together. He stood waiting for her to take the first move. Sure, he was going to help hunt, but he did have no clue where to start. He took off walking, “We’ll head this way.”

Victor had worked at the park for a few weeks now, but this was his first real posting. And what better way to start than to take risks? He had seen glimpses of her in days passed as he patrolled the border of her paddock. But never got a good look at her. It wasn’t safe, it was borderline insane. But Victor couldn’t resist. He slipped into her paddock.
“Wheeeeere are you?” he whispered, taking slow, but firm steps deeper into the enclosure.

Adam shifted awkwardly in his chair, waiting for his interviewer to arrive. Had he known the true purpose of this meeting, he would never have come, which was precisely why no one had told him. In fact, if maintaining good public relations wasn’t so important, he might never leave his home at all, and he definitely wouldn’t be at any public events. He’d seen amusement in the eyes of people who observed how he was constantly flanked by two beings who were not even six feet tall, but the truth was, they weren’t there for his protection. If he started having a panic attack, the man needed people he could trust to get him away from the humans surrounding him, and take over for the rest of the conference. A one-on-one interview, though, was something he should be able to handle.
Weeks. Months even, before this interview was scheduled Victor was briefed and re briefed. The government, having observed Adam, suspected he had the key to unlocking reanimation. Something they wanted so desperately. Victor was assigned to interview him because his superiors were confident he’d have a particular... drive, towards the subject.
He walked down the hall, heading for the room where Adam was already waiting. He stopped to check the video feed, making sure the concealed cameras were working properly. He loathed interviews, but this time - this had the potential to change his life.
Victor opened the door sternly “Victor Hoskins,” he said, extending a hand, “Thank you for agreeing to come in.” he added to maintain professionalism. He took a seat across from Adam and stared at him for a moment before looking down at his notes and the two files he had chosen to bring along. “Is there anything you’d like to ask of me before we begin?” he spoke calmly, with no detectable trace of emotion.

“Hey….There is no need to worry. We will be fine. Nothing will happen to us.” she murmured, pressing another kiss to his lips. “I promise. Nothing will happen.” she cupped his cheek, resting her forehead on his. “Now, quit being such a worrywart.”
Victor kissed her once more before he rose, taking their plates to the kitchen. “I’m still going to worry, but I’m glad you’re so strong.”
Even more months had passed and Amy was almost sick of the aches and pains she had. She was in bed most of the time now, either sleeping or just resting. She hated it. She just wanted to hold her little girl in her arms already. She had dozed off not long after Vic left for work, not waking up until she heard someone come in. “Hm?” She pushed herself up a bit. “Back already? That was a short day, love.” Though she would soon find out that she had been asleep for almost the whole day.
When VIctor returned he tried his best to open the door softly, but it squeaked loudly and in turn woke up Amy. He sighed with a smile, “A 14 hour shift is short?” he grinned at her. She had been resting all day and Victor came and sat next to her. He placed his hand on top of hers and kissed her cheek. “How are you feeling?”
She blinked. 14 hours? Surely she hadn’t been sleeping that long, right? She shook her head slightly, clearing it. “I’m alright. Tired…. the baby won’t stop kicking.” She murmured, placing her free hand on her large stomach. “Likes to cause trouble she does.” She murmured softly.
Victor was grinning at her as she spoke. He didn’t think it was possible, but despite her discomfort she looked more beautiful than ever. “Already causing trouble?” he lowered his head to her stomach, “Now you listen here, just because I’m your father doesn’t mean you have to aspire to be as great as I am.” He chuckled, “Or as stubborn as me.”

Annalee let out a growl in response, briefly flashing her teeth in annoyance. She knew having someone else there was better than being alone, but that didn’t mean she had to enjoy it. “At least he respected the raptors,” she snapped, moving a little ways ahead of him, her chin lifted to take in any scents.

He flinched, but tried guys best to play it off. "Respect?" He scoffed, "More like coddled. The raptors know their worth and Owen is the one holding them back. Preventing any sort of progress." He snapped, but took note of her walking away and followed. "Well, your precious raptor trainer isn't here, it's just you and me."

He glared down at her finger and then back up at her face, “That doesn’t mean you send the newbie to collect stupid sticks! I mean how dumb do you think I am?” he pushed her hand away. “I am perfectly capable of hunting… something.”
A snarl came from the blonde. “You really don’t want me to say what I’m thinking to that comment.” She replied. “Fine. You’re free to help however, don’t try to hunt me. It won’t end well.” Rexy then took a step back from him and sighed. “Just be careful…”
