This year promises to be an exciting one in terms of even more exponential technological advancements. According to a gartner.com article I recently read, three themes- ‘intelligent’, ‘digital’ and ‘mesh’ form the basis for the Top 10 strategic technology trends for 2017.
These technologies are are just breaking out of an emerging state and stand to have substantial disruptive potential across industries.

So, I’ve recently created my first ‘web-profile-page’ from HTML. A daunting prospect only a few short lectures ago, but now, a ‘small’ achievement is realised!
 I’ve a couple of friends/relations who are web-designers, computer programmers and when asking them about what was involved in the process, my eyes would tend to glaze over. I always thought Dreamweaver might be the route to go, but I’m beginning to  realise that but if you want to be able to build modern responsive HTML5 based websites, then these apps will get in the way of you learning (because you have to learn the app on top of the code) … and will actually slow you down!
Learning to build my web sites using HTML will hopefully give me far better control over the process, and ultimately the web sites. On top of that, I’ll have a far deeper understanding of the web, and as a result better websites will be created quicker – much quicker!
