Some of you never learned to fear the old blood and it shows
Does your distaste for those in the court extend to everyone?
"Non. On the contrary. I might not like certain group think or meddling or writing, but there are plenty with whom I get along. Daniel, for instance. Fareed was a complete and utter delight. I get along well with Benji and David's okay." he chuckled.
"I do not support this self proclaimed Monarchy." he answered truthfully, sensing Teskhamen's interest was genuine. And hearing that David spoke highly of him did do wonders for his mood. "I would hate to make them think I do."
“You do not think that the one who holds the Core should rule us?” Teskhamen’s tone was curious as he watched Everard, head tilting just a smidge.
Do you still have contact with the Talamasca at all?
“No, and I have no desire to have any.”
“A pity. Is there a reason why?”

“At least you are willing to keep an open mind.”
"Breath of fresh air, non? Such a thing should not be as rare as it is among vampires. Age says little. Actions say everything."
“I would quite agree. Some of the oldest of us are the most closed-off. Unwilling to accept new experiences on the premise that there was nothing wrong with the old experience. You are wise for one so young.”
"I appreciate the compliment. Both of them." he chuckled. He dreaded that one thousand growing close and closer every night. To become one of 'the Elders' was a downright nightmare to him.
Teskhamen smiled kindly. “You are quite welcome. Tell me, what is it that keeps you from the court? David speaks so highly of you when he graces us with his presence...”

A warm nose nuzzled Teskhamen’s chin “plus I always win, so it’s not that exciting to try guessing the outcome. Though that goes for us fighting anyone else too. Except Tamlin” he growled the name, his brat face coming on once he thought about his father “but he cheats.”
Rian’s lips brushed along Teskhamen’s jawline while absently listened to the emotions playing through his maker. He knew the other well enough to know what to tie each nuance up to, the flow between them often making conversation redundant. There were still parts of each other they did not touch, parts they could lock down if they wished.
Just like they needed physical space sometimes they had both learned to keep things that were just for them, Tes was just way better at it than Rian sometimes. Rian twitched when the other caught on to the change of expression, his lower lip pushing out a bit “nothing. I didn’t have a look. I never have a look. Except a cute one.”
Teskhamen smirked as Rian declared that he always won the fights. “I think being a hybrid gives you just a bit of an advantage,” he mused quietly, lightly running his fingers through Rian’s hair, enjoying the closeness of his fledgling and lover. “Yes, well - Tamlin is old enough that he knows all the cheat codes by now.”
Teskhamen looked down at Rian then, watching him, bringing his hand down to lightly run along his jaw. “Now that’s a lie, my child... tell me what has happened...” Good lord. He certainly hoped that Rian hadn’t done what he was thinking of. That could be catastrophic. Perhaps not for Rian, but for the others... all of them.
He watched Rian carefully, eyes searching his face over for any sign of what Rian might be keeping from him. Yes, while he tried to respect Rian’s privacy... he couldn’t help but worry about some of the things that Rian kept hidden from him...
He'd used longer than he had to before getting to Scotland, the fact that he had fucked up laying heavy on him. He couldn't remember the last time he'd stepped out of line when it came to his job. In his private life, it wasn't unheard of, but he never failed his people. He never broke the rules. Except for that one time when he'd committed genocide on a whole tribe, but that was so long ago.
The sight of Rian and Teskhamen's home was usually a happy thing for him, now it made his stomach twist. He even failed to notice the new barn when walking up the pathway to the house, his gaze firmly fixed on the front doors. For perhaps the first time since he'd started visiting the lads, he rang the doorbell. He didn't go so far as to wait for someone to open the door though, letting himself in and taking his shoes off, hanging his jacket.
He could hear Rian singing somewhere on the backside of the house, probably looking after his flowers and herbs. The doorbell didn't seem to register with the hybrid even if the little guy could hear a gnat smacking into a wall a mile away. Sam ran a large hand through his hair, getting stuck in his own tangles for a moment, grumbling as he moved in the direction of Teskhamen's workspace, nearly bumping into the man "oh...I....hey."
"I did something bad."
@teskhamen-the-great
Teskhamen raised an eyebrow as Sam started rasing his hackles. "And how much worse will it be when he hears it from Cole instead of you?" he asked, watching him quietly. "I'm not arguing with you, Sam. I'm just telling you that you need to think about the fallout that this will cause." He shook his head slightly before chuckling. "Armand can indeed be a bit of a pain." Though he had to agree. He didn't like the idea of sending Rian away.
"I don't want to, but to protect him, I'd do anything I had to do..." he said softly. "I love him more than my life, Sam." He wrapped his arms around Sam as the alpha wolf pressed closer to him, finally just shifting in his seat to pull the other man into his lap against his chest, arms wrapped around him to secure him in his place and raised one hand to stroke the other's hair gently. "We will figure it out. We're nothing if not resourceful."
First thing was first, he just needed to figure out if Armand had told anyone. Was he alone in New York? Was Daniel with him? He worried that Armand might drag Daniel into something that would be very bad for the youngest of his line. If Daniel were cornered by an older werewolf... it could be very bad indeed.

Rian felt the wave of love through the bond they had established 300 years ago, the flow between them so much a part of them now, yet the pure affection from the vampire always took him by surprise. He chuckled “I know you do. But you roll your eyes when we knock each other over. It’s like you’re bored once we fight, but super entertained when we fight others.”
“I am pretty sure he agrees. He sounds like he agrees when we do it” he grinned at the thought of having the alpha trapped between them, his eyes darkening a bit “mh? Oh yeah. But they already say shit about me. I heard a rumor that Tam has manipulated me in some way to make me all boosted for when he popped me through the portal to beat on the physical form of the Wyrm. So really, I could just milk that one for a while as long as no one looks too closely at the rest of my life. Or…you.”
“But we’ve got the distance thing going, and Alex’s wards and stuff. So, for all we know we can go for a few hundred years more.”
He rubbed circles along Teskhamen’s back “I know, love. Maybe eventually, at least some of us could meet” he pressed his face against the other man’s shoulder, hiding the strangely guilty look at the mention of Marius.
Teskhamen smiled a bit at the smaller male. "Well, when I see you two fight all the time, it loses it's charm. I like it when you guys fight together. So much better. The other side has no idea what's coming. See you two know each other so well you can anticpate each other's moves. So it's a lot of circling, fake lunges and such." He smiled, brushing back some of Rian's hair from his face. "Still entertaining, but... not as exciting."
Though he had to agree. Sam certainly did seem to like it when they fucked him properly. Poor guy needed a good fuck every now and then, and Rian and Teskhamen were only too happy to provide that for him when he needed... or just wanted... to be randy. There was no dominance struggle with them, Sam knew his place, as did Rian and he himself. They didn't have to be careful about how they conducted themselves with one another. His smile turned a bit sad at the idea that there was a piece of Rian's life that he could not be apart of. Not fully anyway... and that there was a piece of his own life that Rian couldn't be a part of fully. Two lives.
He kissed Rian's cheek gently. "Yeah... Alex's wards work on just about everyone, I think... except for god-like creatures I suppose..." Thinking of how Tamlin could come and go whether Alex wanted him to or not. He smiled a bit more though at the idea that someday Rian could meet the rest of his blood. They were family too, albeit in a different way. Though he raised an eyebrow at the look on Rian's face. "What's that look for?"
Teskhamen smiled a bit at Rian's enthusiastic cuddles and he hugged him tightly, nuzzling against his neck lightly. Gods how he loved this little bundle of hybrid werewolf. He didn't think anyone could love someone as much as he loved Rian. It made his chest ache sometimes, but in a good way. "I suppose that's true. Getting knocked back on their ass a time or two. I wish I could have seen it. I do so like it when Sam gets riled up at someone who isn't you or me." He laughed softly.
"I agree. I think he might even agree to that one," Teskhamen replied evenly, kissing the tip of Rian's nose gently. "Just imagine what they'll say about you when you get to be Sam's age and haven't changed one bit..." he said softly, nuzzling his cheek. He worried about the day when people began to question about how powerful Rian was, and whether or not his power came from his bloodline... or something else.
Only a handful of people knew of Rian's vampire nature, and it was something Teskhamen was worried would put people on edge when they discovered it. A new breed of werewolf... would they then go searching for vampires to increase their own power? That would end so badly for all involved. Especially the young wolves who came across the wrong vampire.
He paused for a moment at Rian's next comments and questions. "Yes... it's the fact that I have kept you from them. From everything. Every time one of my agents comes across a werewolf, and I catch wind of it... I have to tell Sam, who then sends in you or someone else to wipe their memories. I just... I love you. All of you so much. I just wish sometimes that you could meet the others that I have come to love as well. I think you'd really like Marius," he said, looking at Rian with a small smile. "Maybe even Armand as well. Once you got past his... exterior. And I'm positive you'd like Daniel."
"You know he's going to find out sooner or later, and it's better if it comes from you and not say... Cole?" He asked, watching Sam carefully. "You know as well as I what Rian would say to this..." he said simply, shaking his head slightly. "Yeah, you probably will," he said softly before shaking his head. "How else can you think of to contain this, Sam? He's not going to stop. Every wolf in that city now is a means to an end to him. Armand is a fucking pit bull, once he sinks his teeth into something, he doesn't let go. Just ask Daniel."
He looked away, out the window towards the patio where Rian had been before and bit his lip slightly. "I don't know, Sam. But I can't go to the Chateau and talk to them there. Too many ears. Everyone in that castle would hear us. I can't take them to the Talamasca... because... well. Yeah. That just wouldn't work. Not even the Talamasca know that I am a vampire, I keep my appearances with them few and far between so they don't get suspicious." He sighed. "We can have Rian not be here... perhaps. Maybe just you and I. The pack is safe in Norway, just have Rian go there for a bit, or maybe send him on some pointless job?"
He reached out, lightly resting his hand on the side of Sam's neck. "It's alright. Everyone makes mistakes." He just hoped that this one didn't bring everything that they'd built over the last three-hundred years to a grinding halt. Or worse, an explosion. He picked up his phone then, and tried to dial Armand's number. "It's daylight in New York so I'll only get his voice mail..." And sure enough, Armand's voice mail picked up. "Armand, this is Teskhamen, I need for you to call me as soon as you awaken." He glanced at the clock. "Should be a few hours from now, I'll still be up. This is important." And he hung up, setting the phone on the desk.

He looked up in surprise at the question “there are at least three different packs of Bonegnawers in New York. They keep their numbers small but I doubt I could convince them ta move from their territory. They guard the people living on the streets and they defend their turfs fiercely” he scratched his beard again “and there’s like 15 glasswalkers in the top businesses around the city” he paused for a long time “and Cole. Whom just went undercover with a firm run by Pentex.”
Sam looked like he was shrinking a bit when the immortal looked at him again “I don’t want ta kill him. It was just…a question.” The Viking frowned a bit “I came to you first,Tes. Tamlin would overreact. He’d beat my arse then kill Armand. You know how he is about keeping things secret. He only lets you be part of our world because you’ve made things easier fer him.” He shifted almost nervously in his seat, smelling the frustration, feeling it build in the air.
Teskhamen froze. Glasswalkers. Cole. He looked over at Sam then. “Does Rian know that Cole is embedded in there?” he asked softly, knowing that Rian probably would not be pleased about the situation. He was exceptionally protective of the young glasswalkers. He ran a hand through his hair. “Do you understand what you’ve done? Armand won’t stop, you know. He will scour that city until he finds you again. Or someone like you. He’s got that... stubborn tenacity. Especially for New York. Because that is his territory. So now he’ll be determined to find out how many wolves are in his territory.”
At least Tamlin didn’t know yet. “Then we might have a chance to contain this... we... we should probably bring Armand here. Or he’ll never stop. And that might draw Tamlin’s gaze.” He sank back into his seat. “If he hasn’t told Marius yet, he will. He can’t keep anything a secret from him for very long.” He looked over at Sam. “You’ve effectively pulled the vampires in to the inner circle... I hope it doesn’t signify the end of my bloodline.” Who would he side with if push came to shove? The wolves were his family, but - so were the vampires.
He bowed his head into his hands on his desk. “What a mess...” he whispered softly. Could he go against the entire Vampire Court? Because that’s what it would be. If something happened to Armand. To Marius. Lestat wouldn’t let that go. He’d never let it go. Tamlin would consider them a threat then. So it wouldn’t stop with his bloodline. It would be the entire coven.
whitehowler:
Rian’s spine arched, his butt pushing out to wiggle into the touch of Teskhamen’s hand, the blond making a pleased noise. He managed to focus on the conversation even if his mind most of all wanted to focus solely on sex with his maker “I think that is the problem. They have all heard of him. They all expect him to be like seven feet tall and shooting fire out of his ass or something. It’s like a badge of bravery to go up against him.”
He crowed closer, nuzzling the immortal’s throat “I think I would love that for Sam as well. Happy Sam is happy Rian” he smiled gently “oh, I will talk him into it. We’ll make the first time ever picture Christmas card. I nearly wish we could send one to the vampires” his tone was too light, his smile joking though there was a hint of something more serious under the surface.
Teskhamen smiled gently, watching his lover quietly. How had he been so fortunate to find this little wolf? He chuckled at the thought of people trying to take on Sam just to make a name for themselves. “They should know that to challenge Sam is not going to up their status, it’s just going to get them a very bad headache...” Over one-thousand years, and Sam was still as gnarly as ever.
“Perhaps they think that because he’s getting so old they can take him now...” He shook his head slightly and smiled at Rian’s comment. “Me as well. He needs something to help him relax.” His hands wrapped tightly around the small form and he held him gently, kissing his head lightly and pressing his nose into Rian’s hair.
“A photo Christmas card? Oh I shudder to think.” His tone was playful before getting a bit sad. “Yes, I as well. You know, I’ve taken to drawing a little wolf paw print on the cards that I send to them...” He smiled slightly. “They don’t understand what it’s for but... it makes me feel a little better. Less like I’m lying to them.”
Himbo werewolves.... big buff dumb puppies.... their instincts make them v protective of u and they’re super big and intimidating but also if u threw a stick they’d run to catch it....iconic
Teskhamen was running through scenarios in his mind, how he could rectify this, what he would do if it got too far before he was able to do something about it. He had to work quickly, god only knew how far it had gotten. Had Armand told anyone? Perhaps he hadn't told Marius but Daniel? Louis? Who else was Armand close with? Benjimen? Sybelle? Who might any of them tell? It could be back at the court in a matter of minutes. And any of the vampires there within earshot of someone sharing the news.
The young wolves would be in danger, how many immortals would want a pet werewolf? Teskhamen could already think of a handful who would love to get their hands on a werewolf. He blinked, looking over at Sam as he realized the man was talking again, he was so busy running through the information, he'd nearly forgotten the questions he'd posed to the alpha wolf. He'd left quickly, but that didn't mean Armand wouldn't continue to look. "How many wolves are in New York right now?" he asked softly. "Can you pull any of them? Temporarily?"
He stood and moved to a filing cabinet to pull out a few Talamascan files of vampires known to frequent New York. Though he froze at Sam's last suggestion. Kill him? Yes it made sense. But.. kill him? He turned slowly to face Sam. "You want to kill my grand-fledgling? Armand is of my blood. I will not tolerate someone just... killing him. Besides, who would it be? You? You want to go and kill him? Or would you tell Tamlin to send someone? You and I both know who he'd send. You want to have him make Rian kill his own blood?"
He shook his head. "No. Killing him is not an option. I won't allow it." He would have to work even quicker now. If Sam were harboring these thoughts, how long before Tamlin would? Did Tamlin even know? "Who all have you told this to, Sam?" he asked abruptly. "Does Tamlin know?" Was Tamlin already devising a way to get ride of Armand? He picked up his phone, dialing Marius. He cursed softly as he got his voice mail and snapped angrily to the phone. "Damn it, Marius, if I can figure out how to work a goddamned cell phone then so can you. Answer your goddamned phone." He hung up angrily and had to fight to keep from slamming the phone down onto his desk. What a mess.
whitehowler:
His cheeks flushed a bit, low laughter pouring out “is that why you never protest when I walk away? Because of the view?” he grinned, hiding his face for a second to hide the odd shy spell he was suffering. “He just challenged every decision made, posturing a lot, getting in people’s faces. He wanted a fight in a place created to find ways towards peace. Sometimes you just have to establish rank to get on with it or the young ones keep testing the limits.”
Rian nuzzled the vampire’s shoulder gently “yeah okay” he grinned to himself “I can see Sam driving a tractor while you sit in the buddy seat by his side. That would fucking adorable” he grinned up at his maker “and you can still wear a hat. So I can take pictures and secretly send it to everyone I know.”
He went silent for a few moments, smiling gently “he’ll love it. Maybe you’ll even get tears and he’ll do that strange thing where he shakes himself and pretends his eye is itching.”
"Perhaps a little," Teskhamen grins a bit, hand sliding down Rian's back to rest on his lower back, fingers spread downward to graze over the other's well-formed behind. "It is a rather impeccable view." Though h laughed a bit at the idea of someone trying to challenge Sam. "Foolish pup. He should know better than to challenge Sam. What kind of wet-bellied scamp hasn't heard of Samuel Fenrir and knows that he'll kick ass?"
He placed his other hand on Rian's head, stroking his hair gently, smiling a bit at the other male. "Yeah. I'll definitely buy a tractor for Sam. I think he'd enjoy that on the rare occasions he gets to just... unwind," he said simply. "I dont' think I like the idea of photos being handed around secretly to people you know of me and my metaphorical ridiculous hat." He debated. "I'll wear one if you convince Sam to as well."
A soft smile inched over his lips again at the thought of Sam getting all emotional. "That would be the occasion for pictures to secretly pass around..." he pointed out with a chuckle.
