"The boy" has a much deeper and more psychological background, far from the protagonism of our beloved Brahms. It addresses sensitive issues and situations that are still lived today, stories such as gender violence, toxic relationships and the trauma they cause.

It's about how a woman (Greta Evans) has been abused and destroyed at the hands of a evil man (Cole) and then decides to run away and rebuild her life from scratch. Unfortunately, the russian roulette of fate determined that he had to meet another man much more evil (Brahms).

But this woman, who for years has been used, and used and used, manages to accumulate enough courage and courage and faces this other evil man, defeating him in his own territory.

I believe faithfully that Greta Evans is an excellent character and should be considered a final girl, but everyone acts like she is to blame for everything. Say whatever you want, but Brahms deserved to be stabbed and more.

Don't get me wrong, I love him, but he's an abusive and manipulative bastard, and I'm sick of everyone in this fandom making him look like a misunderstood victim just for being minimally attractive.

You all complain that there are not enough final girls and lack of female empowerment in horror, but you all go and throw shit at Greta for being an "ungrateful who did not appreciate Brahms's efforts."

That's hypocrisy, you know?

All I'm trying to say is: if you keep believing that Greta was wrong to stab Brahms as self-defense, then you're part of the problem.

Like the attitude towards psychotic people never fucking changes. Everyone shouts about respecting psychotic people until someone starts having delusions on the train and people whip out their phones to film and laugh at them. Everyone starts tweeting about better mental health treatments but in the same breath will call you a crackhead for having disorganized thoughts. Everyone loves their little Shane Dawson conspiracy theories but will ostracize the people scared/paranoid they’re being watched or poisoned. It’s a miracle whenever I can confidently tell someone I have schizophrenia and they don’t recoil or distance themselves from me and it’s a blessing when I can count on someone to still want to engage in a relationship despite knowing I have schizophrenia. Nonpsychotic people don’t get it. And this absolutely doesn’t just apply to ‘neurotypical’ people.
