A requested drawing about giving yourself up to the earth, for an old friend.
My first custom tattoo design, for a thigh piece. Cannot wait until the girl I did it up for gets it. My art on someoneās body! Insane.
Waiting for my flight scribbles
"A chance to breathe again, a chance for a fresh start...and through it all I stood and stumbled waded through my thoughts and my heart. See these waters they pull you up, if you are bolder than the darkness. Let these songs be the instrument to cut the spaces between the happiness and the hardness."

I found this quote yesterday, and I was just so inspired by it, so naturally I made some art to go with it. āItās hard to be sad about your body when you think of it as a landscape. You donāt criticise a mountain for being too big, or a valley for being too winding, and no one ever complains about the vastness of the sea. You are part of the earth and you are so beautiful.ā
"It's that feeling again, the pit in my stomach, the ache in my chest, throbbing, what next, what now? What next, what now? I am hanging stagnant in time. No purpose. No course." 3:43am ramblings turned into art.

Project #STOP IRRATIONAL THINKINGĀ You are a human being of value, regardless of your body. It is JUST a body. Itās time to stop measuring our worth based on our body!Ā Youāre okay just as you are. You are a unique person, capable and loveable, with special talents and strengths, with inner wisdom, passions, strength,Ā intelligenceĀ and creativity ā a human being of value. So accept and respect yourself now.Get comfortable with the real you.Ā The you that matters. The you that matters has nothing to do with your body.Ā
Your body is okay. Your size is okay.Ā The good news is that you can change how you feel about your body by changing your self-talk. If you are especially concerned about your weight and body shape, understand that your body has an opinion of what it should weigh at this time in your life. It regulates weight around a setpoint that may be nearly impossible to change. Recognize how destructive the obsession to be thin is. Your weight is not a measure of your self-worth. Accepting this can give you new freedom.Ā
Let go of constant comparison and competition.Ā You donāt need to be or ādoā better than anyone else to be a worthwhile person. Just because you are not skinny, does not mean you are worthless.Ā
Keep a gratitude journal.Ā Have you inventoried the richness of your life assets? Try it. Add to that inventory and each day write down three things you are grateful for in your gratitude journal. It can be humbling to realize the abundance of riches we have, and how much we take it for granted. The everyday joys of family, friends, home, community, country, health, work and the wonder of nature are all around us. Contemplating this can bring you deep serenity.Ā
Put weight in its proper perspectiveĀ and focus on whatās really important in life. Do you want people to remember you for the shape of your body or the shape of your character and soul?

There are always things to be happy about. You must allow yourself to see them. Go afraid.
