Interrupting my usual program with an impulse post because… how can I not?

While my hopes and dreams of a Taejin vlive may have been completely slashed with the existence of this video, I am given another concrete reason why they can’t. 

… I just really need to release all this pent up Taejin energy bubbling in me. 

His hand was on Jin’s hair for a whole minute. I counted. Looks pretty damn comfortable, and thanks to Tae, we sort of get to see how soft Jin’s hair is.

Also, to think that this was only the beginning of how domestic they were going to be on live…

He leaned on Jin for 50 seconds, I counted. He leaned so comfortably till his cheeks puffed and I nearly screamed. 

To add to that, he was actually reading the comments praising Jin. “Seokjin oppa, your hair looks great.” What a treat, to hear “Seokjin-oppa” come from his mouth. 

It was already pretty overwhelming, as this was all so sudden, I didn’t think I could self-destruct any further until the next moment happened. 

I love Yoongi, I tried so hard to pay attention, but Taejin stuck together in the back proved to be my distraction and downfall. I would love to know what was going on in Kim Taehyung’s mind when he showed us that expression with the gesture and then tapped on Jin to look at the camera with him.

I don’t know what goes on anymore, all I remember was feeling like a pervert watching something I shouldn’t be watching. And Tae’s gaze at the camera while he sinks down to Jin’s neck? RIP me. 

Whatever went down in Taejin land behind Yoongi there, be it kisses on the nape, licking or just blowing, props to Yoongi for being so calm and cool as he always is. Unbothered king. He most probably has seen much worse at home, yes? 

And if I posted this without context, Taejin is making out in the back. 

Kim Taehyung is absolutely determined to blow Jin’s neck, or blow on Jin’s neck, whichever. Also, very very bold of Jin to expose his neck like that. 

Really, really determined. He wouldn’t stop blowing no matter where Jin moved his head. Jin will never say it, but he obviously loves the attention and getting blown on. 

He actually has the cheek to tell them his neck looks so red.

Q2. Taejin is always so sweet and bold when It’s live settings. Like they’re one step away from making out. I really think Taejinnies shouldn’t worry about lack of Taejin content in Bangtan bombs, Run or other paid contents. Those are edited to be funny and fan-friendly? Is that a word? But when it’s Live, Taejin always shines through.

This is why I want a Taejin vlive. Although honestly I nearly fainted just from this one and there’s a chance I won’t survive the actual thing. I was just watching SOOP and thought about that one moment of silent staring while Tae and Jin were alone. Also the activities they chose? PC games and a nap. Q4. A month ago, I saw a dream of Tae lying on Jin’s lap. He played with Jin’s hair. And then grabbed his neck and brought it down for a kiss. Well I didn’t see the kiss. But it seemed like the intention. At that time I was laughing at it. Thinking that’s something we are never gonna see. And today we got the Vlive. With almost similar actions. My inner psychic came through! 😂 But seriously, the sexual tension is just off the charts. No one in the fandom will be surprised if they kiss. Absolutely no one. Oh. Except the salty shippers maybe. I already saw quite a few of them explaining in detail what was happening. He was JUST blowing air. Nothing else. And some even said ‘Don’t think of his actions as anything else’. Like??? Tae played with the hair for 1 min. Laid his cheeks on Jin for 1 min. Kept blowing on Jin with Jin blushing coz of it. And then he went on to lie on Jin’s lap. What else should I think then? 😂 

That’s such a nice dream, at least if you don’t see it in real life you got to dream about it! We don’t have an actual vlive, live performances, or any sort of public appearances but we’re still getting so much this year. I kinda have to agree with you there, even if they kissed the fandom probably wouldn’t be too surprised. They might even get away with it simply because they’re both so handsome. Although there will most definitely be some repercussions too. 

Well… technically if they kissed, then it’s also just their lips touching and otherwise it’s nothing else to them, I guess? Sounds funny. I mean, we all have eyes to see even if they don’t “explain” anything.

You wanna go naked?

I originally intended to push all my posts to Dec, it’s only 9 days away anyway and it’s not even complete yet. But I was completely overloaded due to the release of BE yesterday while working. So as I tried to watch the vlive secretly, my poor brain had a difficult time trying to process what was going on here.  I just couldn’t not. So here goes: Taejin wilding on vlive again, with millions of fans watching.

I know that the whole highlight was “you wanna go naked?”, but after re-watching, I realised that there was a lot of details that were left unappreciated. I am here to express my appreciation for the entire package. Let’s hype this while we’re still high from BE and streaming.

Disclaimer: This is all for my own entertainment, do not take it seriously. Go and watch the entire thing on V app. It’s now up but without subtitles. Apparently I have to do this all the time because some people don’t read.

It all starts when Tae is assigned to be the makeup artist. He does his job rightfully, starting with Hoseok who doesn’t resist, putting tinted lipbalm on him.

Then he puts it on Namjoon, who doesn’t resist either.

Namseok came out pretty with the makeup on while Tae puts it on JK.

When it comes to his soulmate, he faces some resistance. But of course, Tae doesn’t care, he does his job no matter what, manhandling Jimin who repeatedly tries to push him away, “Not on my philtrum” and “I’ll see you after this.” Hoseok can be heard asking them to please hurry up.

One more because they’re too cute, look at them giggling as they squabble. Of course Tae succeeds in the end.

Not forgetting Yoongi :(

Jin ‘hiding’ behind Tae to avoid getting the lipbalm on himself.

But Jimin, why did he smear the lipbalm on like that?! He did Yoongi so dirty lol. They’re all laughing in the background while Namjoon asks “Who punched Yoongi-hyung?!”

I wonder what Yoongi was thinking while he watched all this.

After Yoongi, makeup artist Tae deems his job done, leaving Jin untouched. Not sure why. Maybe he didn’t want to because he already knows he will face resistance anyway. Or maybe he wanted to match Jin with makeup-less faces. Who knows?

But, JK doesn’t agree and feels that it’s only fair that everyone should have the same lipbalm on. So he grabs the lipbalm and tries to put it on Jin, but gets rejected instantly.

Jin’s excuse was: No no you’re not in charge of makeup.

So the baby dutifully looks for the makeup artist to get him to do his job properly. The program won’t start till he does.

However, the makeup artist misunderstands and says “No no I’m in charge of makeup so I won’t be having any on myself.”

But JK doesn’t relent, everyone should be fair, he thinks. So he explains, “No no you haven’t done it for Jin yet.”

Makeup artist agrees, after having skipped him the first round. And here the drama begins.

I don’t know how 'I don’t you to put lipbalm ugly on my face’ translates to “Do you want to go naked?”

Yes Jin, abuse your power as the stylist, why not? But of all things, to ask him if he wants to go naked if he dares to even land the lipbalm on his lips. I honestly thought he should have known better than to challenge Tae with this. Also, Jimin’s laughter here is music to my ears.

Instead of helping to hold Jin down, the rest of them stays back and simply watch. And laughs as Taejin fights it out. Oh, and that hand reaching out to hold his neck. Hmmmm.

Of course, Kim Taehyung wouldn’t be Kim Taehyung if he does not manhandle the Kim Seokjin. The way he easily pushes away Jin’s hand like it’s nothing, relentlessly coming at him with the lipbalm. He’s determined.

Spot Namjoon behind, moving away, watching them, all the while holding Yoongi’s cardboard cutout behind him the entire time. 

I don’t know when or if Jin did accidentally bump into his mic while they were quarelling, but here he’s touching his mic/shirt button(?). I don’t know. It was fun to see Jin aggressively pointing with his finger like that at someone, still asking “DO YOU WANT TO GO NAKED?” Does anyone remember if he normally does that? (The finger pointing at something part, not the asking people to get naked part)

Final efforts to resist, and still none of the members are stepping forward to hold Jin down lol. Jimin is still laughing there. And Tae once again tries to pull Jin closer.

Alas, Tae finally decides okay, he’ll go naked then. Even offering himself for Jin to take off his clothes for him. I love his bravery and conviction to allow Jin to strip him just because he’s trying to put on some lipbalm. Arms stretched out and everything.

“Would you take if off for me?” The way he professionally handles Jin.

If you recall, “He likes just the right amount of attention,” and “who are you to decide?”

I’m just laughing and facepalming while I type all this out, look at Jin’s eyes, originally on Tae’s face, now trailed down his body… what was he thinking? Considering taking up the offer? Imagining Tae naked perhaps? I wouldn’t know, but the poor man glitched. Thus Tae won this round. Tae 1:0 Jin.

Tae immediately seizes the opportunity when Jin glitches to move in with the lipbalm, and Jin…. closes his eyes. Scroll up, and you’ll see how differently he holds the other members and how he holds Jin here. Fingers curled around his nape.

And that pinky pushing into his soft cheek, hand still on his nape.

Poor Jinnie is still glitching, his left hand nearly reached out to hold Tae’s waist despite his resistance earlier.

So he barely moves it away but his right hand is still on Tae’s waist lol. Awkward much? I’m still laughing at the other members and Jin’s weird arm angle.

When he’s done, Jin is still trying to snap out of it. He doesn’t know what to do with his hands after barely holding back from putting them on Tae’s waist, so he quickly stuffs them in his pockets.

If you watched the entire thing carefully, see how dazed Jin is here. He looks like he’s forgotten there are cameras around and is still trying to snap out of it. And probably trying to process fact that he just asked if Tae wants to go naked while millions of us are watching. And also Tae accepting and offering himself.

Sure, he’s the one who started it, but he looks pretty shocked at what just happened lol.

Finally, even the makeup artist himself doesn’t get to escape. Not sure if he instantly changed his mind because he got to put lipbalm on Jin’s face. He’s held in place by Hoseok while Jimin watches JK put the lipbalm on him.

Not forgetting this adorable domestic snippet of Tae feeding the tangerine to Jin.

Btw, my top favourite songs right now are Life Goes On, Fly To My Room, Blue and Grey. And Stay.

Also, I’m in love with their positions in the car in the MV. Taejin sitting in the front seats together. They’ve been mostly next to each other in this comeback, it’s so soft and perhaps that’s how BTS sees them in their daily life.

This comeback vlive is another reminder we’re never getting that Taejin vlive. Okay, I let it all out, that’s all :D

Cinematic parallels… or not.

Note: Short post. For the new readers here, I’m sorry to say that I won’t be able to commit to posting as the editing and collecting information takes a lot of time. I will reply to asks and DMs faster. Due to the virus outbreak, life is much more complicated than usual. Please take care of yourselves and exercise caution till it blows over. 

On to CMBYN, I just watched the movie maybe a month or two ago, and while it was interesting, I don’t actually see any resemblance to Taejin’s actual relationship except for a few gestures Taehyung did similar to the main character, Elio. Last year there was an interesting series of events preceding Taehyung’s revelation that he watched Call Me By Your Name which was linked to Taejin. 

22 Mar 2018 - CMBYN was released in Korea 

Before this date, there were plenty instances where Taehyung did stuff that Elio, did to his crush such as biting his shoulders, playing footsies, etc. 

19 May 2018 - Fake Love CB Show

Taehyung did that famous footsie play with Jin and the camera cut the scene. This is by no means the first time, but probably the most obvious and noticeable as it was intentionally done right in front of the camera. 

28 Apr 2019 - SBS Gwangju Concert

Halfway through the performance Taehyung keeps grinning to himself (because I don’t see the others laughing with him) and he literally can’t stop smirking while dancing. So probably he planned it in his mind and was all excited to actually carry out his plan. Jin is very clearly taken aback and the way he bends backwards the closer Taehyung comes; he must have thought Taehyung was going to do something drastic like kiss him considering the intensity of the gaze directed at him. 

Like with many Taejin moments, some are extremely intense, some are super sweet, and some plain “what the heck are they doing?”. I classify this as all 3, his gaze was extremely intense as he got closer till his hips were resting on Jin’s. The closeup of his expression while he rested his head on Jin’s chest for even a second was very sweet, like he was in his safe haven. But I must say the ending pose was too weird, with Jin bending backwards like that so everyone would literally go “what are they doing???”. 

Jin looks pretty startled, he looks like he wanted to take a step backward or even use his arms to hold Taehyung but got lost in his intense gaze, froze, and ended up bending backwards. So they don’t kiss or accidentally kiss but Taehyung is still able to do whatever he intended to. There’s something captivating and beautiful about this moment, despite it being a little weird. 

All these photos come from four different individual fansites, from all angles and in HD. Taehyung knew what he was doing and chose to go ahead with it anyway. Knowing it would be captured in plain sight and immortalized on the internet. Even if it probably didn’t turn out the way he intended. 

I find this part ambiguous but also, the red string that Taehyung wore for a period of time is similar to the one Elio had on his wrist in the movie. This could signify something or it could also signify nothing, but I won’t rule out the possibility.

When Taehyung posted this video of himself ‘playing’ Le Jardín Féerique - CMBYN OST, Taejinnies who watched the movie before started making the connection, that he might have been intending to do the famous pose by Elio and Oliver during their SBS concert. These speculations trended among the small Taejinnie community for a while, creating discussion that all this might just not be a coincidence. 

The movie’s signature pose in comparison to the Taejin moment from above ^. If Jin hadn’t panicked, I’d agree that it might have turned out this way.

A week later, J-Hope comes to join in Taehyung’s vlive when he heard the classical music, and Taehyung says it’s an OST from a movie he watched recently. For people as busy as them, recently could range from a few days to maybe a few months, and the SBS concert was slightly less than 2 months before this vlive. 

That aside, the most important take away from this vlive is Taehyung acknowledging that he watched it, he liked it a lot, he listens to the OST and he recommends the movie for it’s deep meanings. The boys all know what goes on social media, sees all the comments, what people fight about, knows about all their ships.

He most definitely saw the speculations and still confidently went ahead to confirm that he watched and likes the movie. 

Of course, he could have just watched and casually enjoyed the movie without it having to mean anything at all. They’ve all been very vocal about their support for LGBT after all. This wouldn’t have been a big deal at all, but because it’s Kim Taehyung from BTS telling us he watched a particular gay movie and liked it enough to ‘play’ its OST, publish it on Twitter to 23 million followers then acknowledge that he did watch the movie 1 week later after seeing the posts Taejinnies made about the similarities. Then it becomes a big deal. This sequence of events seems like a ‘confirmation’ to me. 

It’s hard to think of this as a coincidence the way he’s this direct with his words. Personally, this is probably the closest Taehyung has ever gotten to verbally ‘acknowledging’ his relationship with Jin is something more. (Not that I needed further confirmation after he confessed that he likes Jin-hyung the most) The fact that he hyped this movie in various different ways also shows how emotionally invested he was in it, that it is entirely possible that what happened in the SBS concert is indeed a copy of the pose by Elio and Oliver, very much intended by him.

On his YT vlog, Tae came online to express his appreciation for his favourite movie again. It hits me a little differently to know that he’s still openly hyping up the move a year later. 

Of course, being a Taejinnie, my mind automatically links this to Taejin and the DNA incident from last year. Whether or not it has any link to Taejin this time, I’m just going to include this here because of the beautiful excerpt he read.

That said, the relationship between Elio and Oliver is completely different from Taejin’s dynamics. There’s literally no other similarities besides the the way they display their affection for each other. The movie itself is thought provoking and meaningful, I won’t post spoilers but Taejin’s relationship is really much more beautiful and I’d say incomparable to the movie. But all in all, it’s a huge thing for Taejinnies.

Cause there is no room for doubt anymore right? These are love birds, passionate lovers, two souls in one Jin handmade crafty heart, love angsty slow burn, love sick, Montecchio and Capulet (fanfic writers, you’re welcome) kind of secretly married couple. Taejin will stop at nothing to prove they are the ultimate ship, like in the world. Exaggerations apart, they know that you know that everybody knows and tell their friends and pets that Taejin is a bless.

SOPE

I think it’s undeniable how precious and special Yoonseok aka SOPE really is. They just belong together and are truly love goals for me. They act like a longtime married couple and true sincere best friends at the same time, this is the kind of relationship I’d love to have.

Their relationship is so stablished that on many times Suga only looks at Hope in the eyes while he talks even when everybody is around them. Hope talks about Suga all the time, it’s no secret they are each other’s faves. Unlike Taejin, there is no awkwardness between them, no emotional tension or need to subtle the interaction. They are so comfortable around each other and creative soulmates. I love them deeply, they are so goals. If you ask me, I think Suga plays both fields cause he goes for the personality and affinity other than gender or attraction and he is the loyal kind of person who stays with the same person for a long time. I believe Hopey is no straight, he is super comfortable on his own flamboyant skin to be confused or undecided, despite his bright personality of all the boys he is the most emotionally mature and reliable when it comes to love. Like Suga he wants a person by his side that he could rely on and laugh and fight and annoy and love.

Sope is their own subunit and both Suga and Hope are independent, private and adult enough to don’t be that influenced by how Taejin’s relationship changed the dynamics, they are doing their own thing. I feel like in the band Suga and Hope are like loving grandparents ya know, sage people you go for counselling or comfort. If they are dating or just really close besties it’s their business but part of me thinks that two people so good together should be together. Forever. And ever…

Jikook

I know Kookie ships are such a big deal and Kookie ship shippers are passionate (just like Tae’s ones) and our Golden Kid is so loved by his boys but, Jikook is something. At first I believed Jimin would be forever infatuated with Kookie just like Tae was with Jin. Like true unrequited love. The way Jimin looks at Kookie, how he acts around him is so heart eyes, I dunno if he even realizes. But recently I think they have been closer than ever.

After BV2 I realised V and Jin’s relationship probably made Jikook closer cause both Jimin and Kookie were very ‘dependent’ on Vmin and Vkook. I realised that on the Taejikook episode, how happy Jimin and Kookie were to spend some time with V and how distant V was. I don’t think he meant to feel like that, it’s just that when we are dating we wanna be with our partner, esp in V’s case since it was a Namjin bromance day and we all saw how he got affected by that. So Jimin and Kookie are closer cause V is now superglued on Jin’s shoulders.

I don’t think Jikook are together. I think they are really young and neither have really figured out what they want. Jimin fights his crush cause he is a bit afraid esp after witnessing all the years and years V suffered before he and Jin finally got their tense situation figured. If Jimin is V’s confident I’m sure he was there for all that Taejin angst we saw on last year’s BV and so on. Jimin’s loving nature, he could fall in love with either a boy or a girl, he is a people’s person and often talks about having a family but also admires men in this “take care of me” way that is too cute to deny. On the other hand Kookie’s character and personality was deeply influenced by Jin, he is easy going but very strict on himself, he is aware of his responsibilities as an idol. And like Jin, I think Kookie is fluid when it comes to relationships and genders. He’d indulge his curiosity with bravery but could also settle for the common idol path, find a gal and marry her.

I’d say Jimin dreams about a future where he is married and all but deep down the only emotional attachment he knows is towards Kookie. Jungkook pretends he doesn’t consider giving in to temptation with Jimin cause deep down thinks he will someday marry a girl and do what’s expected. They are in that cross road.

There are many parallels between Taejin and Jikook, the difference is that Taejin is really desperate for each other, Jin and V are passionate men who think with their hearts, their thing was never just a crush, curiosity or lack of outside affection, Taejin are a love choice. Jikook is softer and shy, Kookie is often lost in thoughts and Jimin is deeply emotional. Maybe these two will overcome the crush and curiosity and be true best friends, maybe they will both fall for other people and Jimin’s crush will fade away but maybe just like Taejin, they will place their hearts on each other. Now is too early to tell.

Namjoonie

Oh sorry Namjoon + the boys shippers, but for me Rap Monster is straight. Being a Jin crazy fan has exposed me to loads of Namjin push, but I legit see nothing but RM’s extreme courtesy, respect and friendship towards Jin. Of course they know Namjin is highly popular so both act adorably in giving the fandom what they want, they all love each other and care about each other but we don’t see RM and Jin going on secret dates or physically expressing possessiveness and having to subdue the passion like Taejin. 

I also don’t think he is that worried about Taejin Sope or Jikook, he cares as a leader, but he stays out of their business cause he trusts them. As Suga, RM is a private person who needs his own space to deal with all the important responsibilities on his shoulders. My veredict, Namjoon is straight and yep please Universe give this fine sexy man a Rap Monstrette to walk the earth by his side. I volunteer…
