Fun how the bystander effect was coined to cover up how cops are bigoted cowards who let a queer person die and stockholm syndrome was coined to cover that the cops handled a hostage situation so badly the hostages trusted their captors more than the cops.
MobiKa (2019) by Florenz Graf, Fraunhofer IPA, Stuttgart, Germany. MobiKa can navigate autonomously in dynamic environments, and is able to identify and approach people using person and posture recognition. It communicates via screen or by voice.
"MobiKa is a service robot for use at home or in care facilities, which is currently available as a prototype," Graf explained. "The robot consists of a mobile, wheel-driven platform and a slim height-adjustable tablet on top. Using navigation software developed here at Fraunhofer IPA, MobiKa moves safely and autonomously to a given destination." – MobiKa: A low-cost mobile robot that can assist people in a variety of settings
finally; the Microsoft Teams mobile video guillotine, so you can't escape from work calls even if youre on the floor in the foetal position!
It's very frustrating watching people make the "people should be compensated for their labour, so you shouldn't pirate things/should buy from my etsy" argument over and over again as if it'll somehow remove the difference between labour you did to make a product to sell for yourself and the labour you did for someone else in exchange for a wage.
One of these is you selling your labour to someone, which you wouldn't do if you weren't compensated, and the other is you putting labour into making something and hoping you'll be able to sell it at some point, with no guarantee that you actually will.
It's not a labour rights issue for someone to not buy the thing you made, it is a labour rights issue for someone to not pay you for the work they hired you to do.
These are fundamentally different things, and if you insist you're being exploited because people won't buy your things you indeed going to be accused of being ignorant and entitled.
(Incidentally many authors for example actually effectively are in the situation where they're being paid to make something for someone who will then go and reap all the profits from it and might even get the intellectual rights to it. But still direct their ire at people not buying stuff/unable to buy stuff rather than the people not paying them.)
"is this anything?" (I open my palm to show you a pure concept)
Plato this is the 7th week in a row you've shown us Ideas
you’re mommy’s medium-sized twenty-seven year old. because that’s the age that you are that it says on your official governmental paperwork. be the same age for mommy. #agestagnation #sameage #nothingplay
while they share a similar base flavor, dick tastes more umami while pussy tastes more acidic, though recent menstruation conveys an overwhelming metallic flavor that some diners object to (though i am not one of them). recommended wine pairings are

Asunder is basically the most classic way to be torn, and if you're looking to be cleft, in twain is a vintage but stunning choice
I don't think I've seen a party with such a huge disconnect between elite/leadership and their voters/members.
But we're the dangerous radicals and must be routinely and consistently condemned at all times.
people debate about whether wojaks carry fascism within them inherently or not, and yknow, maybe there's something to be said about how symbols work etc, and then you see a communist make a meme that features the one that's drooling with a dent in his head to represent someone who is incorrect, and you just kind of take a pause and ask yourself what the fuck is wrong with everybody
it is genuinely infuriating how many people grasp the concept of "there are several different sects of christianity, some of which are conservative and controlling, but others which are more progressive, and you can't treat the whole religion as a monolith", but absolutely cannot wrap their minds around the idea that islam, the second-biggest religion in the world, is also not a monolith.
people who are like "but with universal healthcare you'll have to pay taxes!!! Up to 8%!!!" Are so funny. Like as opposed to the 16% of my gross paycheck that goes to private insurance, that won't cover shit unless i call my insurance company, then my doctor, then my pharmacy, then my doctor again because theyre pretty sure insurance got approved then my insurance company because they didn't get the letter, then my doctor again, then the pharmacy again, and then the copay i still am on the hook for.
“Members of the Democratic National Committee are meeting to vote on rules concerning presidential primaries. One of the proposed rules would ban ranked choice voting for the 2028 presidential primaries.”
HEY! The DNC is trying to BAN RANKED CHOICE VOTING for presidential voting! It will only allow states to vote for the initial round of presidential candidates, and nothing past that!
Reach out to your Democratic representatives (<-website helps if you don’t know) if applicable, and let them know (<-script provided!) you DON’T want this to happen!!!
Ranked Choice Voting is for a fair future!!!
The Democratic Party Rules & Bylaws Committee is quietly proposing banning the use of ranked choice voting in presidential primaries.
LOS ANGELES—In an effort to support his children as they attempted to distance themselves from their difficult upbringing, actor Brad Pitt announced on Monday that he was dropping his surname in solidarity with his family. “I understand why my kids want no part of ‘Pitt,’ and if they don’t want it, neither do I,” said the Academy Award–winning star of Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood, adding that he had not yet decided if, going forward, he would adopt a new last name, go without a last name, or simply repeat his first name twice.
