⚓︎Δ Our name is Darwin. We're all equines, but for simplicity of this blog, we're a donkey or mule. We're a jack donkey [ 18 ] and our pronouns are
[ he / haw / it ] This is our side stable 🫏
What's This Blog About?
We made this blog to help other creatures experiment with species. We've noticed not many critters have an outside space to experiment with or confirm their species. Having an outside source can help critters get a better feel for a kin, so that's what we're here for. We're also doubling our stables as a "guess my species" ask game
How Does This Work?
You send an ask with your name, pronouns, species, and terms you'd like us to use and we'll come up with a scenario with this information. You may also add likes, dislikes, hobbies, or whatever else you'd like us to add
*Note﹕we use both bio & vivterms in these stables. if you have any questions on why we use both, feel free to ask - we don't mind
Example Asks
Please be as detailed as possible, especially for Feel free to specify what scenario you're looking for and we'll gladly adjust
Example Format﹕ Darwin - he-it - African wild donkey - equine terms - ♡ reading, writing, & drawing
Darwin is an African Wild Donkey. His hooves are striped, kind of like a zebra. It likes to graze on sunny days and sleep under shaded trees. His favorite activities include; reading, writing, and drawing. Darwin often draws the other donkeys in his herd - which is quite the feat considering it uses hooves to draw! Whenever he's not partaking in his hobbies, Darwin can be seen galloping around his territory at full speed, feeling the wind in his mane and the sand kicking up beneath his hooves
Example Format 2﹕Beau - he-him - beagle - canine terms - ♡ tennis balls, bones, crabs
Beau the beagle loves playing tennis, well he loves chasing and gathering lost tennis balls for the players. Beau is an avid bone collector and strives to become an archeologist, y'know to be around more bones. No place is safe from his powerful paws, not even the beach where he found some crabs buried in the sand. He puts his snout closer to the crabs and jolts back when they surface back up. Beau barks at them in hopes to get them to follow his paw prints back to base [ they do not follow this crazy dog ]
I am a creature. Humans have been telling stories about me for ages.
I can be wise, a deity, a force of nature. I can be terrifying, dangerous, a creature to be slain. I can be big as a building or small as a cat. I can be everything in between.
I come in many different shapes and sizes. My body is human, but my mind isn't. Or at least it isn't entirely.
What am I?
- (can't add my usual tag bc it gives the answer away lol)
Kind of got instantly burnt out from all the submissions. While we do appreciate everyone's requests we just don't have the energy for it. We would like to continue to help everyone, however with the lack of motivation and energy we may look into other options to keep the blog running.
We have considered looking for another mod as it's just us for now, though we're not sure how to go about it. If anyone could share tips on how to find other mods that would be appreciated. Asks are still open and will always be open as we often check them in case an idea comes to mind
pretzel - he/him - troodon (t. formosus) - avian terms? whatever you deem fit - ♡ puzzles/games, people, food, reading, running, did i mention people i love people
thank you in advance!! :>
Pretzel really likes people - he often observes them, studying their movements and behaviors. He likes to chase little humans around parks, watch people on their walks, anything really, though having a troodon running and cawing at people may come off as scary
Pretzel notices someone with a nice sandwich and gets an idea. He slowly approaches them, chittering softly as to not alarm them. He tilts his head and flaps his wings, trying his best to convince the person to give him their sandwich. The person obliges, giving Pretzel the sandwich - he trills and runs off happily
He finds a group of friends putting together a puzzle in a park. He rushes over to help, startled, the people scoot back wondering what he wants. Pretzel starts putting the pieces together with his claws, huffing away fallen feathers from his arms. He shakes and tippy taps happily once he completes the puzzle - the humans are astonished and impressed that a dinosaur could solve puzzles!
He finishes off his day by finding some loner reading a book and decides to perch behind them, leaning over to read with them. The person is not phased by this, as this is Pretzel's seventh time reading with them. He never stopped following this certain human after they gave him a cookie. Pretzel wraps his feathered tail around the human to protect them - chittering at every turned page
Katya the collie likes to take a walk to the mall in their flowery hoodie and rose-colored glasses. Puppy quite enjoys the peacefulness of puppy's walks. If that peace is disturbed by someone, she may nip at them - best to let the gal carry on their day
You can hear the tippy taps of her little paws and she struts through her favorite stores in the mall. Katya barks over an employee to help them find the bow section. After picking out a pretty pink bow, puppy decides to breeze by a café on puppy's way home
She sniffs out her favorite spot and plops down right beneath the register, giving the cashier the biggest puppy eyes they could muster. In return, puppy is given the best sweet treat they had.
Katya yips and spins happily, wagging their tail as they exit the café, marking this as another great day in their books!
Patrick Stump (lead singer of fall out boy) He/They, hanging out with friends, playing music, reading, singing, going to concerts, guitar, drawing
Patrick Stump is quite a talented artist - he's been rockin' out since 2001 and continues to shine as the lead singer of Fall Out Boy
When they're not going on tours they're usually hanging out with friends or going to concerts. Patrick always to check his guitars, making sure they're all tuned properly before each show. Sometimes he hums a little tune to match the pitch. It's tedious work, though it's nothing he can't handle
After each event, Patrick draws their favorite part of the show, whether it was a fan greeting him or just something funny that happened they've probably drawn it before. He keeps all the fan mail he gets and turns it into a wall collage as a reminder of how beloved they are by their fans
so you said your pronouns are he/it but are you sure they arent he/haw
... haha ha
Clever, very clever !! We know this is a joke, however that does sound pretty cool and we will now be using he/haw along with he/it for the time being [ cause why not ! ]
Rorvul - he/it/they (unsure about pronouns tbh, kind of want to try it/its out) - formless demon of shadow and flame (fiery shadow demon with no solid form) - demonic terms - ♡ tabletop RPGs (mostly just play Dungeons and Dragons, looking to branch out), I like fantasy worlds (and their magic) as well
hopefully I submitted this correctly
A set of glowing eyes peer in the dark, tall flickering flames cloak a shadowy mass - it leans over you, the fire illuminating shapes of wide, curled horns and wings. A moment later, the demon reaches out a claw and introduces himself as Rorvul. He offers to play Dungeons and Dragons with you. Its daunting form is a bit eerie, yet you accept anyway
Rorvul sets down a large table, being careful not to burn it. He places tiny figurines onto the table, gesturing for you to pick one. They open a small drawer at the edge of the table, pulling out pieces of paper and obsidian dice. They deem themselves as the DM and state the story is that of fantasy - them a dragon lord, you an archer
You roll a nat one and miss your shot. Rorvul bursts out into a loud roar, heaving flames with each breathe - the haunting sound startles you a bit - you assume it's just their laugh and continue playing
After the session is over, you wave them farewell watching them slowly vanish, taking the DnD table with them. Rorvul waves back - awaiting your next visit
Guess my species is both a fun interactive game to guess some critter's kin based on a simple description and way to help those questioning narrow down species to a specific creature [equine -> donkey] [small bird -> pigeon] or [ winged beast, red body, horns -> demon]
How Does This Work?
You send a description of your kin and let others guess what creature you're referring as. This is not limited to animals - we strongly encourage otherkin creatures to participate in this game
Examples
"I am a large brown and spotted scavenger. My laugh-like vocals are a way to communicate various feelings toward my cackle. What am I?"
-> spotted hyena
"We are a large beast with giant claws, thick fur, and a maw wide enough to fit a grown adult inside. We may take on a humanoid form, though there are some key features on our body that indicate something nonhuman. What am I?"
-> werewolf
