I was wondering...Are you still into TF2/Medauling ? Not that you don't have the right to have other interests of course but I was just wondering :) I love your content btw !
It and they were there when I needed them. It still makes me laugh. I still ship them if that’s what you mean :)
I’m going to dig around in my folders for some (mostly) Medauling that I haven’t posted before. A lot that I probably won’t finish but liked so I hope you guys will too! Thank you <3 It’s a really nice thought that you have been following for that long
Tf2 x GoT
I’m not sure if you wanted my take on which character everyone would be but I decided placing them by roles would be most fun so we’ve got:
Heavy - Night’s Watch(Ranger - but I’d listen to an argument for Steward)
Medic - Maester
Pyro - Disciple of R'hllor
Demo - Pirate Alchemist
Scout - Messenger
Sniper - Wildling
Soldier - Hedge Knight
Spy - Faceless Man
Engineer - Night’s Watch (Builder)
Miss Pauling - Septa
Administrator - Queen
and anyone, feel free to draw these or use this!
Welcome to... Mercenary Park!

If Jurassic Park taught us one thing, it’s life finds a way. If Jurassic Park taught us two things, it’s life finds a way and Jurassic Park is a good idea to steal for an update. And if Valve’s legal team has taught us one thing, it was by screaming at us about not telling you the second thing Jurassic Park taught us.
If people screaming at us has taught us one thing, it’s that loud noises make us so anxious we forget where the backspace key is, so we’re just plowing ahead and are happy to announce our wholly original update about deadly animals escaping from a theme park. Because life finds a way, which is the only thing we stole learned from Jurassic Park.

YO THIS SHIT IS AMAZING
WHAT IF concept mercy & concept femmedic are related…. grandma & grandson
Well folks, Jay Pinkerton has left Valve, making him the final writer of major notoriety to depart the studio (for reference, he was one of the lead writers on Portal 2, as well as the Team Fortress 2 comics). The folks who wrote Half-Life, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Portal, along with all of the accompanying trailers, comics, and extra material over the past two decades? All out the door.
I know this has nothing to do with Souls stuff in any form, but it’s integral I express this matter here, because this blog and this web comic would definitely not exist without Valve.
The first time I saw this, it had an immense effect on me. I’d never seen video game trailers or marketing like this. It was a prerendered video running entirely on gussied up in-engine assets, but animated and energized to look like Pixar had shipped it. Valve as a studio, primarily through Team Fortress 2, have been so enormously inspiring to me that it’s damn near beyond words. The passion expressed in Valve’s titles is positively infectious, and are probably the single biggest reason I’ve worked as hard as I have to try and make writing my day job. Games? Animated shorts? Comics? These guys did it all and did it beautifully. Team Fortress 2 will always remain not just one of my all time favorite video games, but a huge milestone of significance in my life. The impact this game had on me made me look at games and characters in all new ways, from the way they looked (especially in a broader sense of overall art direction) to the way they talked (mainly because of the unmatched voice direction and performances). It introduced me into fandom, got me socializing with more like-minded folks, and motivated me to create more than ever.
It’s important for me to emphasize that I’m not bitter that so many designers and creatively skilled folks, who put Valve on the map for their landmark titles, are no longer with the company. They’ve all put in their pound of flesh and given me (and many, many others) some things that are downright irreplaceable, and I’ll always be grateful for that. We’ll never get any sequels that are numbered 3, but that doesn’t discount all of the brilliance that paved the way.
I’m still sad of course, and I wish we lived alongside a version of a Valve that not only held onto its talent, but used it in the most deserving, rewarding ways as seen 5+ years ago. That said, nothing gold can stay, and I tip my hat to the likes of Erik Wolpaw, Jay Pinkerton, Marc Laidlaw, Jason Mitchell, and Heather Campbell for changing my life for the better.
Feeling all of this as well. Without Valve and TF2 especially I wouldn’t be where I am right now. They inspired me so much for several years, helped me improve my art a ton, and helped me find wonderful people of which many are still dear friends to me. Valve was truly a life changer for me with their characters and stories, and I’ll forever be grateful for them!
There’s a tumblr post with this but I can’t find it, so I’ll link it here
I think the comic gave us a perfect reaction image from Demo.
When I get destroyed by someone in TF2 because they’re better than me.
When you’ve been through so much shit that you don’t even care anymore.
WHEN PART OF YOUR BRAIN IS MISSING
When you’re losing a fight but then a random crit saves you
tf2 was actually the very first videogame, and every other game in existence ripped it off
What about team fortress 1
that was also a ripoff of team fortress 2
me@anyone who doubted medic even remotely
(ง’̀-‘́)ง
p.s. thanks people who replied to or even just read my personal sad; I know in the end you should just be true to yourself and what you love and when I’m being my best and strongest self I do feel that way. I think the best of the tf2 community will live and let die here when it comes to shipping but like I said when I’m doubting myself and not feeling that great it’s easy for those kinds of feelings to creep in
this frame of god is 100% a product of @emmyc’s triton comic flourishing in my brain for a decade
