Hello. This is one of the artists for the zine. Sorry to bother, but I haven't received any emails for the second and final deadlines (I did for the first one though). Will the one for final be send later, or I just have to send my finished work directly to one of the mods? Or was I dropped from the zine for some reason? Again, I apologize if I'm missing or forgetting something, but I haven't seen any updates for about a month, is the zine still happening? Thank you beforehand for clarification.

Sorry for the delay in response. An email was sent out a few hours ago regarding the final check-in and zine process. The zine is currently in the final completion phase. As for the second check-in, we were recently made aware that the majority of the people did not receive an email and we deeply apologize for this. Don’t worry, nobody was dropped from the zine, seeing as this is an all-inclusive project. Feel free to send in your work to any of the mods. Sorry if this caused you distress and thank you for checking in.

Hi! Thank you for the question. The mods will be sending out emails individually. However, if you are new, you may submit it to this blog with your username. We will not post them.

Hi I was just wondering what the “Bleed: 3mm (all sides)” from the email sent out means?

Hi, thank you for the question! The bleed would indicate where not to put essential details in your piece. For example, since the bleed for this project specifically is 3mm, we would advise that you do not draw anything from the main scene in the 3mm margin. A visual representation might better explain:

Theme:

Any interpretation of the theme is welcome but remember to keep your content SFW (nothing over PG-13).

Schedule:

May 18, 2019 — First check for rough drafts and concepts (soft deadline)

June 2, 2019 Second check for progress and drafts (soft deadline)

June 21, 2019 Final check for submission of pieces (hard deadline*)

*Please contact the mods if you need an extention/ are having difficulties, we are always more than happy to help.

Guidlines/ Specs:

Page size: A5 paper (5.8 x 8.3 in)

Image Resolution: 300 dpi

Bleed: 3mm (all sides)

Page orientation: Portrait (Vertical)*

Piece length (for comics and writing): One-shot (no more than 3 pages written in size 13 Times New Roman font.)**

Writing submissions should be submitted as a text that can be copy-pasted for formatting reasons

*Page orientation can be a landscape double spread if drawing the cover (and back)

**Adjustments can be made, contact the mods if you would like to create something longer. We’ll let you :). Writers can also choose to insert a small image (must be drawn specifically for the writing) if there is space left on the page. Font and font size will be readjusted when creating the zine.

Additional info:

If you decide to make additional pieces for the zine or decide to drop in and submit pieces without finishing the application form, go for it. There is nothing more exciting than surprise gifts and cameos.

If you are deciding to drop in and submit a piece (or two) unexpectedly, be sure to add all your information, such as name, social media, and others that can be found on the general application, when sending it to the mods.

The TF Community Fanzine Project is an all-inclusive free pdf zine featuring various types of art from fans of the many Transformers continuities. Our goal is to reach into the deepest parts of the TF fandom’s subspace and help cultivate the raw talent that lies there, waiting to be harvested. We want to offer everyone the opportunity of being in the spotlight and getting the chances they rightfully deserve. And most of all, we want to strengthen this already fabulous community of skilled artists. We want you to help us strengthen the bonds of this community by working with us, together, so we can achieve something.

We are excited to announce that the Application Form is officially up. If you have any questions about the zine, please go ahead and ask. We guarantee your curiosity will benefit everyone.
