âWhy donât you suck my dick, Dollface?â She taunted as she tossed a paper bag at her. âGot you those since Iâm positive our periods are bound to sync again. Mind tossing that in the pantry, Dollface?âÂ
>
Thalia picked up a nearby pillowand threw it at the other girl, aiming for her face accurately. âThe last time our periods were in sync, I had to deal with three complaints from the neighbours. Fucking whiners.â But she rummaged through the bag for a chocolate, and did as she was told.

âFine, fine! It was a joke, jeez. Whatâs up with you? Rough day at work? Did some creep try to grope you?â
âIâm tired of interviewing creepy middle-aged men. When will you save me from this horror?â Thalia raised a hand to dramatically lay it on her forehead.
âCall me âDollfaceâ one more time and Iâll use your own wand to hex your mouth SHUT.â
THALIA ALLISON LONGBOTTOM ; twenty-three, she/her pureblood, order ally journalist for the daily prophet â lindsey morgan
Neville and Hannah Longbottom hadnât been planning to have kids so young, per se. To put it simply, Thalia was an accident baby â not that theyâd never let anyone see it that way. They loved her, of course they did. And they tried. Dear God, they really did try. But it was barely just after the war when Hannah fell pregnant, bordering still on their teenage years and battle-worn around the edges, and they raised their little girl anyway. Itâs because of this that the relationship dynamic between Thalia and her parents is⊠Strange, to say the least. She knows her parents are young, can see it in their faces and mannerisms without needing been told, and there are times at home when they would accidentally slip up, talking to their daughter as if she were their friend. Thalia doesnât mind, particularly; she loves her parents, does not feel a distance with them as others do. Itâs just. Sometimes, thereâs an unsettling, left-out feeling in the bottom of her stomach when she sees her parents standing together, in love. And she knows it might seem unreasonably, especially since they never pressured her, either. She wasnât named after a namesake, a war hero, and it was because Neville thought he knew; that he didnât want her to have to live up to someone who had died. Thaliaâs grateful for that, but some days ( some nights, her head resting on a pillow and her mind so overcrowded with thoughts ) she wished they would have, so she had a name. Longbottom was fine and well-known, sure, but you add a Thalia in front of it and sheâs tired of seeing peopleâs eyebrows wrinkle in confusion.
As a child, she tottered after her mother at the Leaky Cauldron, charming the regulars with her smile and collecting plates. Thatâs what she did, ever since she was a child: adapt to people, fake a smile here and there, burn relationships with others in a blink of an eye. To be fair, It was interesting, seeing all these new faces everyday. It acted as a sort of inspiration for her: seeing the way a man would stare off into space too long and wonder what he was thinking, seeing a lady with three wedding bands on her finger and wondering what her story was, seeing all these different people and twisting them to make her own. Though she resides at Hogwarts for most of the year now, Thalia still helps her mother out over the holidays voluntarily. Her father, on the other hand, became the Herbology professor in her fourth year, meaning Thalia was constantly surrounded by her parents somehow.Thankfully, Neville seemed to understand the position she was in, and consequently didnât bombard her unless he had a reason to. Of course she took Herbology after an âOâ in her OWLs and NEWTs, so she still saw him regularly, but he doesnât go out of his way to seek her for no particular reason, which is reassuring.
Sheâs had a passion for writing since she was able to hold a quill. Her imagination wasnât in splashes of red and yellow, but with intricate loops of words twisting around her mind again and again. She reads a book, a line of poetry, anything that she can deem beautiful, and watches as her brain paints a picture for her and can feel a feeling of content resting in her chest. She creates characters off the top of her head, thought-out and always expanding, and throws them in scenarios that she can control. Of course, times changed, things moved on, but she knows sheâs lucky to land herself a job at the Daily Prophet. Not what she wanted to in life, yet itâs somewhere. Sheâs still writing. Still lost in herself a little bit. Itâs going to be sooner or later that sheâll be pulled out of the world only revolving around her.
Regarding the war, Thaliaâd been obligated to be on the Orderâs side, in respect of her family and friends. Her parents were both surviving war heroes of the last war, and she doesnât think she could look at them in the eyes if she didnât take the Orderâs side. She doesnât have anything against Muggleborns and such; she just doesnât want to be put in the middle of missions. Her parents respect this. If thereâs worthy information to be passed to the Order, she does so, but thatâs mostly the extent of what she does for them. Itâs not like she knows everything going in the Order.

âYeah, yeah, itâs terrible, blah blah blah, et cetera. You know what I canât get over? The fact that if you donât tell me the ââ Kazimir looked down at something he wrote on his arm a little while ago, ââ the four ways to identify a venomous tentacula, I might just fail Herbology.â
âYou're the worst, you know that? I knew you were just using me for my Herbology skills.â She frowned. âAnd Iâm serious! Itâs an issue.â
( gideon. )
âOkay, you know what? This is getting tiring. Do you ever even laugh at anything?â He crossed his arms to his chest. âItâs like when Iâm around you, your mood shifts from âOh what a beautiful sunny day!â to âOh fuck. Just fucking terrible. Bye. I hate my life. Iâm gonna kill myself.â Am I that bad, Thalia?â
âI laugh!â Thalia said immediately, affronted. Then she paused. âYouâre not bad. Just a bit tiresome. Itâs not my fault that your jokes arenât funny.â
( camilla. )
âUgh. Ever since she went from an A-cup to a C, sheâs been a giant assface to everyone whoâs prettier than her,â Camilla scoffed and peeled a banana that was on her plate. âWhatâs her name? Is she a Gwendolyn? She looks like a Gwendolyn. Or an Olivia.â
âYouâre the best, Cami,â Thalia remarked. Her mood immediately lightened up a little. âNo clue, but I intend to find out. How does one look like a Gwendolyn or Olivia?â
( gideon. )
âWhy? Were you planning to invite some Gryffindick into your room, Longbottom? Hmm?â Gideon asked with a smug smile on his face. âWell, you can always go into the Slytherin dormitories and slither in my room.â He winked playfully and let out a laugh.
âIf I was, it would hardly be your business.â His comment made her stick her tongue out at him. âLet the âslither inâ joke die already.â
( seraphina. )
âYou know what.. I never thought of it like that. Maybe because I never had a reason for a guy coming into my room other than borrowing a textbook or somethingâŠ. You should write up a petition! Get a bunch of signatures and handed it over to the Headmaster. It might get that rule changed.â

âIs it the same with Hufflepuff? Or was Godric Gryffindor just sexist?â Thalia said curiously. Â âAs a a matter of fact, I will. McGonagall must know a way to change even Hogwartsâ old magic.â
@thalialongbottom (x)
âNever have I been so tempted to punch a 15 year old in the face.â
âI feel the same way. Look at her, eating her breakfast happily like sheâs a freakinâ model or something.â Camilla folded her arms across her chest, then paused to look at Thalia. âWhatâd she do, by the way? Iâll deck her, I donât give a shit.â
âShe called me a gossiping bitch,â Thalia said with a huff, turning away from the fourth year and picking at her toast. âLike, who is she? You canât just hit puberty and think youâre better than everyone.âÂ
âListen, Iâve been in the Gryffindor tower for the past six years, and I still canât get over the fact that girls can go into the boysâ dorms, but they canât come into ours. I mean, I know that Hogwarts is really fucking OLD, but still.â
â + any of our muses tbh !!
âThat better be a snake, Flatbottom.ââOh, you bet it is.â
