“No need to change tune just because Kati dragged me into hosting this with her. If it sucks, let me know and I’ll see what I can do to make it more fun,” he offered, his snakelike coming out to lick his lips as he said the final word before he began walking them towards the bar, “I’m usually a whiskey neat kind of guy, but for you I’d say a gin and roses. Very strong, very summery. And it’s the bartender’s signature drink.”
“I’m not sure if the world is ready to see that. It sounds dangerous.” Words molded into a jest, Serena teased him gently, her laugh letting him know she wasn’t exactly serious about the whole situation. “Huh. That is one of few combinations I have yet to try. Is that who I'd be if I was a drink then? Gin and roses?”
