BIOGRAPHY —

Along with Ethan, Thalia was told she had to be well rounded at a young age. Thalia admired her older brother and wanted to be good at everything that he was. The fates didn’t seem to have that in store for his younger sister. While Ethan was great at sports, Thalia excelled in music. She quickly picked up new instruments and enjoyed singing.

Music was her biggest hobby, but she was forced to take on other activities as well. Along with playing instruments, Thalia played soft ball when she was younger, read more books than she could probably count, and would practice quidditch with her brother. Thalia has big dreams of becoming a professional singer. She’s written several songs and while she is too shy to perform in front of anyone, believes she is quite good.

Much like her brother’s quidditch dreams, Thalia was told that she wouldn’t become a singer unless had another job that would make her enough money to survive before. Samantha understands that her parents just want what’s best, but she can’t help but be upset with the fact that they crushed her dreams.

RELATIONSHIPS —

ETHAN BROWNING (half-brother): Thalia loves her brother more than anyone else in the world. She looks up to him and calls people out when they laugh at him after he’s had one of his ‘hiccups’. Because of classes, Thalia doesn’t spend very much time with him and really only sees him at meals and before bed.

Guatemala’s one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited! Heifer’s work to help educate people to make the most of their natural resources was really impressive. I will admit that it was somewhat hard for me to see some aspects of daily life there, so my heart really went out to them, but what struck me was their kindness, how sweet and genuine everyone was.
