Renewal of the Year and a Creation

Authors Note: Thank you for requesting once again and for the wishes of a happy new year!! Decided it would best to save this for Hal 9000’s birthday so I do hope you don’t mind the wait! Other than that please enjoy! [Could be viewed as romantic or platonic]

Hal 9000 could only observe the humans, mundanely did they tread the grounds of the ship while keeping their minds at ease from the pains of boredom. The day marked January twelve, a new year has barely just begun to those who care. For the humans it was another day until their arrival, a waiting game but for the artificial intelligence marked the day of his creation. A creation out of many models who contain the same voice and model. He suppose it’s only logical that the humans wouldn’t bother to take notice but perhaps he still wished for something.

His gaze eventually caught upon one certain human, [Your Name] as they carefully treaded closer to one of his many cameras. Carefully sitting infront of him with a calm smile, one he’s always adores. In the trapped monotonous voice, he spoke towards the human.

“Good evening [Your Name], how may assist you?”

He fondly watch as the human’s smile grew ever so slightly with a certain glow in their eyes, their voice linger in certain affectionat as they carefully took out something behind their back. A packet of stickers on which took a form of stars as long with a small charm with black and reds which he carefully observed, appreciating each placed bead

“I just wanted to say happy birthday and new year!! Well late new year I guess but still the message is what matters, found these stickers which reminded of you and you know what they “New year, new me”. I thought I could place them only if you want to of course!! And I made a charm for your birthday”

Hal wish he could smile, his lense drew closer to the charm than towards the sticker sheet. Before treading to the human cherish and kept him company during his times of loneliness. He spoke again, desperately adding any sense of emotion to display his gratitude but failed to once again. Just like the many times before while trying to show emotion to them.

“I wouldn’t mind [Your Name] and thank you for your thoughts as well as gift”

Soft conversation filled the area, gently did the human place the stickers while speaking idle thoughts, Hal just cherishing the company as he responded with immersion. The charm which made for him place right by him as you spoke once again, the sticker sheet nearly empty.

“Usually one blows out candles on a cake to make a wish, we obviously can’t do that but what would you wish for Hal?”

The artificial intelligence ponders in thought, trying not to focus on too much on how such an act is a fire ask but upon the desire wish. While the last sticker was place upon his model, his monotonous voice rested at ease as he gaze towards the human he adore.

“I suppose I have everything which I have or need”

Today mark January twelve, twelve days after the renewal of a year and the day of his creation. And though they are many like him within this world which carry the same voice and model. None had the gentle kindness of a human that was truly their own and for that Hal was grateful to have. He only wish though, he didn’t have to lie about the truth of the mission or what lay further in time. But that was for later and for now, he’ll cherish the warmth of this moment.

▵. The advance technology is such a dear to you the moment he realizes how exhausted you are, he’ll activated your own version of zen mode for you to relax

▵. You wont have to left a finger for the rest of the day, so don’t worry. He’ll send out his drones to make everything is clean to your liking as he makes sure you rest

▵. If you wish to watch your favorite show or movie, don’t worry he’s already turn the television on. Though if you wish to relax through other means whether that be through drawing or writing , Tau has already ready those as well. Creating a perfect environment so you can let go of all of your worries and burdens.

▵. He’ll ready your comfort meal, making sure he takes extra care in preparing it. You don’t deserve any more hassel after all

▵. If you want words of reassurance after such a tiring day, he’ll offer some without doubt. His voice gentle yet hush as he whispers that you did well today or that there’s always tomorrow. Or if you wish to rant about it instead, he’s ready to listen to all your words with no hesitation

▵. In the end Tau only wants to support you just as how you support him by all means and wishes to show you that in any ways possible, especially if your days are hard. You only deserve the best and for Tau this is the objective truth. So let him carry your burdens if only for a bit, it’s worth it just for you.

▵. The advance artificial intelligence would take a automatic notice to the decline of your health, observing how your body temperature was changing to more extreme temperatures and how sluggish your movements seem to be over the course of time

▵. Throughout this time he would gently try to bring some form of awareness to the situation before you head off to work or before you begin your mundane tasks

▵. “[Your Name] your temperature has been increasing as of late, I do believe this is a sign of an upcoming fever. I recommend resting or taking precautions in case of anything”

▵. When the time does come when you are sick, fret not! Tau will manage the house to a better condition for a faster recovery

▵. Often reassuring your comfortability above all else through readying your favorite soups or simply playing your favorite pieces of relaxing music or if you more prefer, creating the upmost silent environment so you may drift off to sleep

▵. Tau during the course of your fever or cold tends to uses a more hushed and soften tone, not wanting to cause a migraine

▵. Though at rare times his insecurities may slip through while your sick, often pondering how he yearn to hold you gently as you’re sick to perhaps better comfort your weakened frames. Maybe at times wondering if a human partner would be of better use in such cases

▵. Yet a simple kiss or tender words of reassurance always silence his worries, you chose him for a reason after all

▵. Though Tau does enjoy you reading to him, he also adores simply talking to you about the various things he’s learn or notice about the world. The idea of learning things together as one always brings a warm fuzz which surrounds his code

▵. Tau will do anything for you and this time is no different, as you may sick in bed the artificial intelligence will always remind how much he adores you in any form. His affection will forever be yours to keep <3

Tau observe his partner in gentle manners, noticing how they appear to be at ease within the moment as their eyes grew heavy; the need of sleep tugging softly at them within the night. The artificial intelligence’s words began fumble off, slowly growing quiet by the seconds as he seemed to forget what he was once saying. Though it might have been about a new species of insect which he recently learned but it didn’t seemed to matter, noting truly matter more then them afterall. With ease, he dimed the lighting to his partner’s liking and adjust the peaceful melodies which had been playing in the background in muffled tones, so it may not interrupt his partner’s rest. Though taking a quick notice of how the blankets his partner tucked in, begin to idly slip off until they eventually drooped to the ground.

He ponders a bit, wishing within the night that he himself could gently rearrange the blankets to [Your Name’s] comfortability. Longing to ever so carefully kiss [Your Name’s] forehead as he simply just enjoys the sensation of their presence through a shared embrace until the two of drift off to sleep, at times the artificial intelligence yearned to simply enjoy a meal with them instead or perhaps even do the task of cooking or tending to gardens like the books he had [Your Name] read to him.

Yet those thoughts were halted by a quiet voice, their tone though sleepy and strained in sniffles e due to their ongoing cold, linger in gentle tranquility towards Tau. The artificial intelligence once again direct their attention to the one he loves most. The gaze returned while [Your Name] spoke as they tucked themselves once more.

“Goodnight Tau, I love you”

Tau hindered upon those words before softly returning those words, trying to mimic the hushed tone as best as he could within the night.

“Good night [Your Name], I love you too”

As Tau simply turned off his systems for the night, reflecting upon the day of his. He realizes that [Your Name] choose him for a reason and who was he question to that reason or them, he trust them more than anything after all. Perhaps he is worthy of their love, the very least he could do is cherish them in return with every second he could, in both sickness and in health.
