There’s still the usual anti CC things such as: incest, lack of wlw represention, islamaphobia, the way she treats mlm relationships as a fetish and lack of developed poc (especially not half white) characters. If you go on the anti CC tag there’s alot of people more educated then myself who have already explained why her rep is bad.

But after tlbotw leak she attacked a minor on twitter for making a meme about the leak which led to some of her fans send a minor death threats and hate and CC has not apologised, taken back her message or even asked people to stop attacking a literal child.

Lots of people have posted here tweets but this is the first one I found

I think a big misunderstanding is that people are mad at CC for being upset. But for me (and I’m assuming most other people) it’s the treatment of her younger fans (who her books are aimed at) and how she has done nothing to stop the hate they are now receiving.

You know what? We don’t talk about the platonic relationships in Six of Crows enough. This duology has some of the best friendships I’ve read about and they’re all super underrated.

That scene in Crooked Kingdom where Kaz calls Jesper ‘Jordie’ will literally be forever etched in my brain. I’ve thought about it at least once a month for the past two years.

We talk about Kaz and Wylan a bit more but damn they’re great too. That part where they break into Jan van Eck’s house? Iconic, legendary, top tier scene.

Also that one scene where Matthias leads Jesper and Kuwei as his own “Grisha army”, like what a great character development moment, but also I wanted so much more of this trio.

Kaz and Nina, whilst they don’t get along work so well together as almost foils to one another. They highlight the flaws of the other, but also their strength. And whilst they don’t like each other too much, every scene with them is brilliant.

Nina and Inej have the most beautiful relationship (I high key ship them, but that’s besides the point). Them singing badly together, Nina saving Inej’s life, both posing as girls from the The Menagerie together, the support, adoration and love for each other is one of my favourite aspects of the series.

And then my actual brotp, Inej and Jesper. They may not be dating but they’re still one of my favourite relationships in the entire series, and seemingly so underrated? Like how are they so great together? Every scene they have is *chef’s kiss*. The understanding, shared pain, the forgiveness and empathy. I love these two so fucking much and I will be declaring this until the day I die.

Also this scene with Jesper, Nina and Inej together might be my favourite of the whole series. And not even just this moment, but the entire scene.

This series is full of so many beautiful and complex platonic relationships which need so much more hype than they’re getting because they’re just as beautifully crafted as the romantic ones.
