Elder Scrolls: The story of Thandiroq (Part 2)
The stands trembled as the people stood and cheered in unison, the only sound drowning them out is the battle roar of the Nord charging ferociously at his Redguard opponent. The collective gasps fade into hoots and hollers as the giant of a man attempted to run over and smother Thandiroq, only to be tripped and fall face first to ground below him. A growl rose before the Nord, an arm the size of a tree trunk flying back towards where Thandiroq stood, another collected gasp came from the stands as the Redguard didn’t attempt to dodge but instead stood his ground and absorbed the impact.
Miriaye stood from her seat next to Thaiand and began to walk away with a scowl on her face and venom in her voice. “I knew it was pointless. Why did I even entertain your stupid idea of humbling him in his place of power.” She paused her movement and her eyes shifted to Thaiand. “You’re as worthless as he is despicable.” She again moved to leave, stopping only as Thaiand reached up and took hold of her arm.
“What are you going on about, the fight has only started.” Thaiand tried to pull Miriaye back down to the seat. “Trust me, the Nord champion will end Thandiroq’s reign and...” Miriaye wrenched her arm free of Thaiands grip, turned to face the arena and the two combatants with hate in her eyes.
“It’s already over, he’s just toying with the Nord...” Miriaye’s eyes closed and she lowered her head. “He always toys with them before striking the final blow.” Her hand slowly rised to touch the side of her face, to a large scar running from the top of her forehead to the just under her chin. “Always...”
---------------------------------------------
Many, many years ago, Miriaye adored her baby brother Thandiroq. They were nearly inseparable, always playing and speaking of how they would venture the world together when they got older. That was a time before Thandiroq found his calling, his desire to be admired, cheered and showered with praise. A time before Miriaye knew of hate, revenge and a dark calling.
Thandiroq had come of age, the point were he could begin his training to take up the calling his father had called his own, a Gladiator. He took to it with ease and glee, he enjoyed the movements and the glory it could and did bring. Even at a young age he was unmatched by his opponents, save for his tutor, for his father. Even a gifted individual is cursed to have their off days, to be humbled by events that will eventually shape them. That day had come for Thandiroq, but the one to pay that price of being humbled would fall to his loving sister, Miriaye.
Thandiroq’s father had put him through a brutal training session that day, nothing new to the Gladiator in training. But Thandiroq was not accustomed to the praise and admiration that his father had shown, to another prospect. Thandiroq was full of passion for his calling, pride for his ability within the arena, and it all went away in a rush of anger as his father showed favor for someone other than him. He was his fathers son, he was the successor to his fathers profession, not this... this nobody! Thandiroq was beginning to become filled with anger, an anger that was to misdirected. It did not help matters, that his father showed his new favored student of a way to win out against Thandiroq, causing his anger to rise higher, to the point of where he could no longer hold it in.
“Thandiroq, what is wrong, why are you so upset?” Miriaye tried to soothe the rage that was enveloping her brother. “You can speak to me, let me help you with whatever is...” She was cut short as a chair flew near her and crashed into the wall behind where she stood. “Thandiroq please, calm down, let me...” Once more she was cut short as Thandiroq rushed in close to her and pinned her to the very wall that the chair had fell upon. Fear began to encompass her as she stared into the eyes full of anger that Thandiroq displayed. She tried desperately to free herself from her position as he flung about his words filled with hate at their father.
She found an opening, was able to push herself aside from the hold Thandiroq had on her and rushed frantically for the door of the room they resided in. Foolishly, she thought she could make it, as she foolishly thought she could calm the raging Gladiator. She had seen her brother in the arena, seen how he could move and overpower his opponents, so why did she think she could do what so many others had not done. Once more, she was pinned, this time against the very door she tried to reach and escape from. Her eyes began to tear as Thandiroq continued his ranting, his venting of anger of their father, at her.
A glint caught Miriaye’s eyes, and the tears began to flow as she saw the dagger rising up to slowly reach up towards her face. “Please... Thandiroq, I only.. wanted to help.” she forced the words through the tears. “I haven’t.. done anything... don’t do this.” Her words fell upon deafened ears, for her brother was fully engulfed by rage at this point. The dagger stabbed into the door, so near to the side of her face, before he would drag it down scraping the door. Multiple times this happened, each turn the tip got closer and closer to her face. She screamed out, cried out and tried to fight back, to no avail.
Miriaye had been caught in a storm, she had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the worst possible time. A fact she had come to terms with, even as it was happening. A fact she could have forgiven Thandiroq for, would not have given it a second thought and even still had love for Thandiroq after all that had happened. If only he had apologized, had shown remorse for the action he took at that time. But he never did, Thandiroq never showed anything of that sort, not to the opponents in the arena and not to her. Never did he show any signs of feeling sorry for those he toyed with. The only comfort Miriaye had that day, was that neither did Thandiroq take any joy in what he had done. Sadly that comfort can only keep ones own anger in check for so long.
-------------------------------------------------
An eruption of cheering rang out once more from the crowd, as the pace of the fighting in the arena had picked up. Both the Nord and Thandiroq were large men, the Nord more so, but Thandiroq had the ability to also be nimble. He danced around and under the Nord with practiced ease, showing no signs of tiring, as the Nords swings began to slow and sweat on his brow began to thicken. Very soon the fight was to be at its end, but it seemed as only Miriaye knew that to be the case.
Down in the pit of the arena, Thandiroq moved fluidly, dodging most of the strikes and absorbing a few of the less powerful blows. His attention was only half in the fight, as his eyes darted from the Nord to the crowd whenever he knew he could risk doing so. Every time his eyes found their way to where he knew they would be seated, he believed to be his biggest fans, his family. They were why he fought, they were why he entertained the people, to bring honor to his family to their name. Then he saw his sister, Miriaye standing, he saw her eyes closed shut and the scar on her face and his gut wrenched. Seeing her there, seeing his mistake and his greatest regret fueled him to put an end to this charade of a match. There was something he needed to do, but he could not do so until this fight was over.
Suddenly the crowd fell silent, all of them stood on their feet as they saw the climax of the fight taking place. Thandiroq had dropped his curved swords, ducked low under a wide swipe of the Nord’s axe before rising up to throw his right arm over the left shoulder of the massive opponent. He put all his power into his legs as he used his left hand and arm to push up on the back of the Nord, lifting him into the air slightly before slamming him back onto the ground. Thandiroq used the momentum and placement of his right arm to help push the Nord further into the ground, taking the air from this opponents lungs and ending the fight. It was over, Thandiroq stood victorious, arms raised and smiling wide as the crowd called out his name. The first battle of the day was a victory and soon it would be on to his second.
“See, toying. I hope your favors were worth the price Thaiand.” Miriaye turned and began to exit the arena, recalling all that she had set in place in case what had just happened would be turned in her favor. She clenched her fist as she walked out of the crowded arena, a tingling running up her arm as she did so. “How much I wish you had shown your sorrow of that day, Thandiroq.” Miriaye turned a corner to where she had planned to meet with a group of people that would give her what she desired. “Then perhaps, I would be sorrowful of what I intend for you.” Soon she was in a darkened alley way, with only a single door leading into an equally darkened room. Inside stood numerous individuals in hooded robes.
“Greetings young one, I bring good word for you.” A figure stepped forward, their arms out wide in a non threatening manner. “As you desired, you are welcome to join our numbers. Your aptitude with the Necromantic arts is quite promising and we shall help you to further harness those powers.” The hooded figure closed in further, placing their hands upon Miriaye’s shoulders and spoke in a sweet tone, filled with adoration and fear. “Your offering to the Order of the Black Worms is great, Lord Mannimarco is quite pleased.”

Elder Scrolls: The story of Thandiroq
Wolfs Fangs, Serpents Tongue, Scorpions Sting. These were some of the names that adoring fans called out when the Redguard from Sentinel entered the arena, never bringing the same weapon to a fight consecutively. Swords, daggers, clubs, whips, spears or net, he was master of them all. He was born of a mighty man who fought and became a champion of the arena, and so he too took up the name of Gladiator, bringing even greater honor to his family and father. Though the fans would shout numerous titles at his entrance, they cheered only one name as he stood victorious over his opponents. “Thandiroq, Thandiroq, Thandiroq!”
As Thandiroq went through his normal routines in the training yard near his home, three Redguard stood nearby watching his flawless movements. Each watched carefully, but for different reasons, each holding a great emotional bond for him, even if they weren’t all benevolent.
Davivia, his eldest sister, watched on with a hint of pride on her face for she had always known nothing but love for her youngest sibling. She had taken it upon herself to watch over the young boy as he began to develop his desire to wander from his mother and the safety of Sentinel. She did so without his knowledge of course, letting him think that he was able to survive on his own. She wanted him to grow strong, full of pride and to accomplish his dream of continuing on the love for entertaining in the arena as their father had once done. To that end, she would do whatever need be done, even take a life.
Thaiand, his elder brother and second oldest sibling, watched intently as Thandiroq begin a routine that looked almost like a dance. A scowl forming on his face as he did not recall any of the movements the young gladiator was displaying. Being a monk, Thaiand was knowledgeable of many martial tactics and seeing what he now saw gave him pause. The disdain and even fear that Thaiand had for Thandiroq had not been a recent acquirement, no it began the day of Thandiroq’s birth. He always thought himself to be his fathers successor, that he would be the one to bring his family to fame, even by less than lawful means. Fame and power is what Thaiand desired, and he would use his brother to accomplish his dreams, or rather he would use his brothers downfall to do so.
And then there was Miriaye, Thandiroqs second oldest sister, one who had as much love for him as Thaiand. Who could say why she hated her brother as much as she did, maybe it was because before Thandiroq was born she was the favored baby. The anger that was on her face as she watched the show Thandiroq put on could be seen clearly by any that paid her any attention. Certainly if Davivia had not been standing so near, she may have even made an attempt then and there on Thandiroqs life. Her lips curled into a sneer and she quickly turned away from the training yard and walked quickly to an alley behind a tavern a few buildings down.
After a few minutes of inner yelling, and heated fantasies of draining Thandiroq of his life, Miriaye began to calm down, her heart skipped and she held her breath as she heard someone approach. “Dear sister, you need to learn to temper your emotions and hide your pain, especially when she is so near and our plans are so close to fruition.” Thaiand walked over and gently placed a hand onto her head and patted her hair, drawing a snarl from the woman.
“You are one to talk, brother. I saw the fear plain as day in your eyes.” She batted away Thaiands hand and moved to punch the monk in his stomach, unsuccessfully. “I’m tired of waiting, is everything in order? Has your backer found someone that can put Thandiroq in his place?” She looked at Thaiand in the eye, hope overtaking her anger in that moment.
Thaiand sighed and nodded his head. “It wasn’t cheap, I had to ask for a lot of favors from some very powerful people. But it is done, Thandiroq will fall, you will have your revenge, for whatever reason you want it. And I shall I have my prize, as well as a step to even higher gains.” He moved to put his arm around Miriayes shoulder and guided her back to the streets and towards the arena. “Let us go and find a good seat to watch our brothers final bout from.”
A feint smile formed on Miriayes face as she let her big brother guide her through the streets, the scene of future events playing in her mind. She saw Thandiroq laid out on the floor, defeated and silenced, but not within an arena and not before a crowd of hooting spectators and certainly not before a hired champion brawler bought through favors by Thaiand. Thandiroq was every bit like their father, in a fair contest he could not be beaten, even in an unfair one within the arena it was but a fevered dream to see him fall. But a strike from the shadows, from a powerful group of cultists with a master such as one of HIS renown, that would work. They would take him after his fight, as he made his way back home and then, surely she would have the one thing she desired.
So it came to be, Thandiroq stood before a mighty challenger once again in the arena, the people calling out their favored names for him. A large man, of Nordic descent for sure, stood howling at the crowd and waving a massive maul over his head. Thandiroq eyed him carefully as he began to rock on the balls of his heels, going over the routine he had been practicing in the yard earlier. Then the large Nord rushed at Thandiroq and the first bout of the night began.

🚫 : spend valentine’s day with my muse platonically: Perhaps a sparring match :D
Heart Day fluff (accepting!)
Blair casually flipped one of her makeshift wooden handaxes before catching it. “Rules—no attempting to maim or kill, obviously,” she said, eyeing the redguard with a steady stare. “Harder to do with these wooden weapons, but still. And no blows below the belt—more for your sake than mine,” she said with a lopsided grin. “So when you’re ready, come at me!” Blair barked, her stance widening as she readied her two axes into a wild-looking stance. She left herself wide open, perhaps inviting Thandiroq to try his luck.
Thandiroq narrowed his eyes, as he carefully watched Blair take her stance, clearly inviting him to a quick loss at the Nord’s hands. At another time, another place, in a past life he would have taken the bait. That was before the training he received from his father and other respectable gladiators of the arenas. He slowly circled the large woman, giving her a wide berth as he did so, respecting her peoples abilities and her attempt at subterfuge.
Aside from the clear opening she offered, her stance was perfect, any attack Thandiroq attempted could and would be met head on and countered. He let out a small chuckle as he finally decided upon a tactic. “I appreciate the handicap you offer, and you need not worry. I’ve never fatally harmed anyone that didn’t ask for it.” A smirk formed on his face as he went to a low stance, making him appear even smaller in comparison to Blair. “I’ll be sure to pull my punches.” He then pushed off with his right foot, shooting himself toward the offered opening, the wooden sword in his left hand jabbing straight forward, his second weapon trailing behind him, ready to swipe in wide from the right.

“What’s this white, powdery stuff everywhere?”, *Gets hit in the face with a snowball* “I’M GOING TO KILL YOU.” , “SNOWBALL FIGHT!” :P
It’s snowing! (Accepting)
Blair guffawed loudly in response to the redguard’s shout after getting a face full of snow. She already had a spherical compact weapon of soft solidified water within her hand, tossing it lightly up and down before she winded it way back and then threw it as hard as she could at him. She’d heard tales of the redguard homeland, Hammerfell. How it was so hot, snow was only a fable except high up in the mountains.
“You dare face a nord in a snowball fight?Prepare to meet your maker!” Blair called as she began to quickly chuck more snowballs, one after another. “Kyne has blessed my aim… and Shor, my arm!”
Thandiroq slowly wiped the powdery white stuff from his face after the return shot from Blair hit its mark, he let out a long deep sigh. “That doesn’t answer my quest..” he tried to speak in a gruff, exhausted voice when he was suddenly pelted by another projectile. Again he wiped the powder from his face, a smile beginning to form. Thandiroq was a quick study and to many an opponent in the arenas found out too late, very nimble.
A third ball of the white stuff came flying towards him, but he caught onto the timing and path of the projectile and ducked low allowing it pass over him. He dropped to one knee, reached his hand towards the ground and scooped up a fist full of the powder and threw it at the Nord. A slight chuckle escaped as he saw the blanket of snow fly towards the Nord. A tactic he’d used to blind his opponents in the arena with dirt and sand.
“I’m not one to stand down from a good fight, I assume you aren’t one to either.” A smile widened on his face and his eyebrow arched as he stared at Blair. “Come show me the prowess of your people and teach me of your blessings.” The smile faded, replaced with a smirk and a playful tone in his voice, “And I shall return the favor.”

I guess I’m the only person who isn’t upset by tumblr’s change in rules lmao. It won’t affect me at all, and I know that it’s not going to be a big deal for rp tbh. You can still make nudity in art, and you can still write erotica. So for instance, I could post artistic nudity of my character, but I couldn’t post actual pictures of my boobies for any reason (not like i would anyways, pervs :P) But I could draw my boobies and it’d be fine lmao
Just don’t post real life porn or images depicting sex with genitals, guys lmao
OMG, I wont be able to show boobies on tumblr! I better post these before it’s too late.
What a scandal
@thandiroq put those away! I might get aroused!
Maybe if you give them a little tap they’ll undulate for you, I know you miss it. ;) @wildname

@blairmoongazer @thandiroq has Thalin said this? I swear he’s said this.
Pretty sure he’s said this twice, once when he foolish leaped at the Silithid Queen causing all the drones to rush him, ending with Thalin getting bloodied for the first time in a guild event. The second was when he proclaimed he was now the tank during the event where the guild went to rescue Thandiroq from some Satyrs. Also ending with Thalin being bloodied, though the three rounds of you emoting him coughing up blood was hilarious.

Sexy picture you say?
“Looks delicious,” Blair commented, looking at the picture of the banana, somewhat longingly. Alas, though, she had no bananas to devour. She didn’t want to keep torturing herself over her pictures of delicious food, so she placed the banana picture under Thandiroq’s door. Maybe he’d enjoy a good banana. Or maybe he would take it in a completely different way. Who knew?
@thandiroq
Thandiroq raised an eyebrow as he saw a picture slide into his room. “Huh, what’s this?” He eyed the picture briefly. “A banana? Why would...” Thandiroq sighed as he opened his door and stepped into the hallway, catching a glimpse of Blair as before she entered her room. “Oh, I see how it is.” He chuckled to himself and closed the door to his room before making his way downstairs to the kitchen of Dragon Heart Inn. After many moments of searching and loud banging of pots and pans, a few unsavory words coming from Thandiroq regarding his foot, Thandiroq let out a roar of victory. Soon he headed back upstairs with a glass in hand, he placed the container on the floor, in front of Blair’s door and sighed once more. He stuck the tip of his little finger into the liquid in the glass before bringing it up to his mouth for a taste. “Huh, that’s not half bad, should have made one for myself.” He then knocked on the Blair’s door before turning to head to his room, not waiting for the woman to answer. As Thandiroq entered his room and mumbled to himself. “The things I do to ensure everyone stays happy.” He closed the door and returned to task he was doing before the picture of a banana stole his attention.
