     Icarus wasn’t one to enjoy loneliness. While she would much rather prefer to be in a bed, Icarus was still wary of her surroundings. With this fear, Icarus found herself huddled in a corner in the common room, surrounded by drunken gods and goddesses. She’d rather be here in a corner surrounded by people than be alone in a bedroom. Who knows what could happen while everyone’s asleep.

     Icarus looked up at the new comer, surprised that she wasn’t the only one that was awake. Icarus squinted her eyes at the god in front of her, unsure how to answer. She didn’t believe that she had met them before, but then again gods changed their forms quite often. “I don’t believe so…”

                      Thanatos looked at her deep in thought, going through his memories to figure out why he felt as if he’d seen her somewhere. As the god of death, it was impossible for him to remember every figure that he’s ever encountered, every mortal that reached end of their lives. The girl in front of him though, she didn’t seem like a god, or certainly not one he’d encountered before. “Forgive my bluntness, you are no god are you ?” He let out, tilting his head to the side as he leaned against the wall, his gaze focused on her. It felt as if a puzzle that he needed to solve — his mind didn’t fail him like this often after all. “And I’m Thanatos, if that name’s familiar to you.”

                     Grateful now that most of the drunk people had passed out and the rest weren’t drunk enough to cause CHAOS, Thanatos enjoyed the silence that stretched over the house as he wandered around, trying to learn more about the place, the many bedrooms and libraries it held, the basement and the greenhouse. All of them could be useful one day, and a part of him expected to find a  p u z z l e  of sorts, a key to restore themselves who they actually are, to get out of there for good. His hopes seemed to be in vain so far as he returned back to the main room, and suddenly got curious about the girl sitting in the corner. She seemed out of place but he couldn’t be sure — it was just that she looked familiar somehow. “Hello — do I know you from somewhere ?” Thanatos inquired without a second thought, tilting his head to the side as he looked at her.                       Now, the god of death usually was more patient and composed towards humans than he was that day — but considering the string of events that happened to them, didn’t he have the right ? That added with the fact that normally he didn’t have to deal with egoistical gods, to be around them when they were drunk ( and he was sober ) was a huge PAIN. The constant noise wherever he went to, the numerous ‘accidents’, people stumbling around ( and into him ) aimlessly, he was about to go MAD. So when Thanatos saw the other stagger towards his way with a full glass of wine in hand, he had to speak up. “Dionysus, I swear if you spill that on me, I’ll make a scythe with my bare hands and —” ( @aphrcdciac )

                    Not interested in the food or the copious amounts of alcohol that were scattered around the room, all of it made Thanatos just even more concerned and UNEASY — as if they were being herded to distract themselves from the absurdity of the situation. Stuck in somewhere without no prospect of getting out, and now they were being generously fed ? It just seemed odd, illogical. There were still people around that he hadn’t met so when he saw the familiar goddess near, her made his way towards her, wanting to hear her take on the situation. “Hestia — how have you been ?” — ( @heartheen )

“that is my name,” the god of sleep answered teasingly, hands rising to touch the hands on their shoulders softly. their lips curled up even more as they studied their twin’s expression, warmth spreading across their chest. “i am relieved to see you, my brother,” they answer wistfully, shifting into the embrace they were given. they wrapped their pale arms around their brother’s broader form, sinking into the embrace. rather than allowing him to pull away they simply leaned forward, resting against him with a content sigh. “i am safe and uninjured,” hypnos answered, lashes fluttered for a moment before they pulled back promptly. “you are alright as well?” they demanded, fingers grasping at the loose fabric of their brother’s shirt, giving him a once over to check for injuries. their smiled twisted into a brief frown before they seemed to deem him uninjured and their expression relaxed. “i awoke in an attic. i wasn’t sure you were here as well,” they murmured softly into the space between them. they were grateful that their twin was, however. they failed to gather much belief that they’d be able to make it through whatever this situation was without him. 

                    As he always was, Thanatos felt  c a l m e r  in his brother's presence, glad to have them close and safe. A small chuckle left his left lips as they didn't pull away from the hug and the god of death gladly obliged, wrapping his arms around them in a soft embrace. "So am I — very glad to see you well." At the small expression of something akin to worry, his own smile turned fond, shaking his head to assure the other that he himself was as healthy as he could be. "I am also unharmed — nothing here seems to be dangerous so far." Though he wouldn't let his guard down, it didn't seem like something was out there to hurt them, or well, that seemed to be case so far. Better safe than sorry, he thought. "I woke up fairly recently, not too sure before or after you, though. There wasn't anyone in the room with me." The god paused for a second before continuing. "Others I've met so far seemed to be as LOST as we are about whatever's going on. I don't like it at all." Although his previous anger had ebbed away significantly, he couldn't help but frown at the thought again.

                    “Thrilling to see that you haven’t lost that impeccable sense of humor, Eris.” Thanatos scowled, leaning against the wall as he set his eyes on her. “I’m sure I can bleed if you can too —”

their foots steps fell lightly in the hall; the noise barely registering amongst the general creaks and groans the structure made by itself. their fingers occasionally reached up to brush against the rough texture of the walls, catching slightly on door frames and lighting structures as they went. their movements remained languid and slow. they were in not rush and had no predetermined destination. they were still simply searching. they knew, logically, the person they were searching for may not be there and as much as they wished he wasn’t they still desired for their twin’s company. seeing their mother had eased them somewhat but it was not the same content feeling their brother gave them. a quiet sigh was pulled from their lungs as their eyes closed for a moment. their fingers that they had lifted to drag along the wall aided in guiding them around the corner into a new section of hall only for them to run into someone- well really they weren’t moving so fast so it was more like they were run over in the run in. eyes fluttering open, they glanced around before up at the person they had bodily run into, a quiet “oh!” of surprise escaped them. “there you are,” they drawled, their tone giving away nothing of their relief at the sight of their twin. there were queues in their expression though, a tightness vanishing from along their jaw, their shoulders easing back from where they’d unconsciously tightened, the smile that was curling their lips up was soft. they were so relieved to see their twin that they didn’t even care that it meant the two of them were stuck in some strange location.  / @thanesko

                   The moment he found himself in the house, Thanatos was miffed to say the least, not liking the thought of someone pulling him somewhere he didn't want to be. The first  s e n s i b l e  explanation was that it was some kind of ploy of the other GODS, and he swore under his breath as he searched and searched, the lack of his powers and the scythe making him more irritable than usual. The gods he'd stumbled upon seemed to be in the same situation as him, but he wasn't sure if he believed them all — they could be very well lying through their  t e e t h . It wouldn't be the last time or the last. A permanent scowl on his face as he strolled through the narrow halls, his minds wandered to his family — were they stuck in there too ? Were they hurt ? The idea of them being a part of this absurd play was enough to make his blood boil, though he forced himself to stay calm ( or as calm as he could be ) — none of the visitors seemed to be harmed so far, and some even seemed to be content with the number of booze and food. What could be the purpose of all of this ? Was there someone so strong that could bind them all in this house ? Once he figured who the culprit was — there would be hell to pay. Many thought wrecking havoc in his head as he rushed through the house for more answers ( or better, a way out ), he couldn't stop himself before running into the unsuspecting soul. "I —" Thanatos started before he stopped promptly when he realized who it was, his eyes widening and the hands on their shoulders to steady them tightening at the sight. "Hypnos —" Even if he would prefer it if they were far away, back home safe, it would be a lie to say that he wasn't relieved. "It's good to see you —" He let out before he wrapped his arms around them, squeezing a bit before pulling back. "You aren't hurt are you ? "
