Sleepless Nights (a Poem by me)

Weary eyed, wrinkled shirt,

misplaced devices and messed up hair.

Another morning lost to a sleepless night,

a night shuddered in with optimism, but

disabled by the appearing sun.

I should have listened to my body and slept,

but my mind had plans of its own.

Plans that never end in compromise.
