Hello... so random ask but I need validation in this? I'm 22 and I started reading the PJO series before the New Year, haven't read a Riordan book since high school. I didn't even finish the HoO series because I felt like I was too old to enjoy them and felt like I'd be perceived wrong because they're YA so they're way under the lexile I should be reading at... that's wrong? Right? I wanna finish HoO and start the apollo trials but I dont wanna look stupid. Help?

Harry potter is also a children's book, but people of every age read them. Percy Jackson is also that kind of book series. It doesn't matter how old you are because the story is amazing and it has much action. You also learn many Greek mythology stories.

Plus, if you really like a book you shouldn't stop reading it because people think it's stupid. People have different tastes in books and if they don't like your preference than it's their problem.

So my last piece of advice is, keep reading you won't regret it!

Can you explain the brick thing with Jason in the fandom? I read that bit, it's from the beginning of Mark of Athena, right? Because I can't understand why that blew up in the fandom. I might not be remembering right but wasn't Jason getting hit by the brick just a sentence at most? Or is this just the fandom finding the tiniest thing to blow up into a meme?

Jason was hit in the head with a break indeed and it was the most majestic and romantic moment. But forreal, it's just funny to ship random things. And we're not actively searching for things to turn into a meme, sometimes you just find it randomly.
