Some tricks Steph has been using since the beginning of time to make digital art:

Make shadows with a multiply layer over your colors (photoshop, clip studio, maybe SAI?)

Make highlights with a Screen/Add/Add Glow/Luminosity layer above your colors (photoshop, clip studio, SAI)

Make those highlights glow because it’s dreamy, just double the highlight layer and blur one of them. (photoshop, clip studio, maybe SAI?)

Make the whole thing look dreamy; flatten everything, duplicate the layer, blur it to hell, then play with the opacity and layer mode. (photoshop, clip studio, maybe SAI)

Unify the color temperature/expression with a color layer set to overlay (photoshop, clip studio, SAI)

Add a texture layer above it and set it to overlay after you play with the opacity to make it Fancy™

Woke up from kind of a nightmare, but more like a vivid dream-movie thing

I know that zombie media is done to death, but you know one I can’t seem to recall ever being done, that would be incredible? Something combining World War One and zombies.

A war that had a proliferation of chemical weapons - many just barely tested before rallied into service. It’d be a perfect horror environment.

Imagine being a front line soldier in a mass charge, suddenly enemy gunfire quiets. A heavy, thick gas slowly creeps over the craters from the direction of the enemy’s trenches - everyone panics. Your vision is obstructed by your gas mask now as you move forward through the dust and gas, only to find the reanimated dead, some coalescing into something akin to the Pripyat Beast, as drawn by Keith Thompson, only it’s half-dead soldiers still capable of using their weapons. Mixes of flesh and steel, still mindlessly capable of using their weapons and machines to a limited extent against either side.

Now the charge is in panic state - artillery shells start falling again. You have no way to know which direction is the safety of your trenches, if they haven’t been overrun already. Living soldiers of either side band together for isolated last stands before succumbing and ultimately joining the horde.

Alternately, and probably less confusing, having the scene be resisting a mass charge - which turns more into the enemy soldiers running for their lives as undead creatures emerge from the smoke, some spewing mustard gas and others bound and twisted with barbed wire.

I don’t have any more than a couple scenes that played in my head, but damn they were intense.

And come to think of it, this scene would be an incredible explanation for Hitler’s (supposed) obsession with the occult. He *was* a soldier in WW1 - make him a survivor of the horde outbreak. The whole “survivor who becomes obsessed with what nearly killed him” thing is a bit cliche, but it works really well in this case.

Go to tumblr support and file a support ticket. Category: Blog incorrectly marked explicit. Details: posts hidden from search results. Attach the screenshot. Do this even if you’ve already filed a support ticket N days ago without a screenshot. Make sure the relevant blog is chosen and you have the right contact email address.

They got back to me within an hour.

Seriously - follow this. I was shadow-banned, and they fixed it within seconds.

Not an exaggeration - I got the “we received your ticket” and “we’ve fixed it” e-mail in the same minute.

ok I filled this support form out TWICE without hearing back from staff for weeks, but literally the second i sent the form with the screenshot the problem was resolved - there is clearly some sort of bot checking for attachments so this is a genuinely good solution if you’ve been shadowbanned

I don’t even have a “safe mode” option thing in my settings. Half of y’all, I can’t even see any more. I even tried making a new account to see if it was a fluke, but nope. Shit site being a shit site. This whole debacle is like watching someone deteriorate from drugs or something. Tragic, but I have no emotional ties to this mess.
