Necrodeviant (Complete - 34k words) Fandom: The Locked Tomb Type: AU (conspiracy/thriller) Rating: Mature (violence, mild language) Summary: Gideon Nav is just an ordinary person, living an ordinary life, in an ordinary town.  What *isn't* ordinary is the night that she discovers a mysterious young woman digging through her garbage.  What *really* isn't ordinary is that young woman having the power to reanimate dead bone.  And the web of conspiracy and danger that the young woman draws her into?  Well, that's just *hella* not ordinary.

Anne with a Shard (Complete - 67k words) Fandom: Anne with an E Type: AU (Superheroes [Parahumans]) Rating: Teen (mild violence) Summary: When Anne's taken in by the Cuthbert siblings after years bouncing around the foster care system, she's got a lot to deal with: a new living situation, a new town, new friends, a new school...  Having to hide the superpowers she got from her trigger event a year ago doesn't help matters one bit.

Stranger Trek (Complete - 129k words) Fandom: Stranger Things Type: AU (Star Trek) Rating: Teen (mild violence, mild language, sexual references) Summary: Space... the final frontier.  Newly in command of the USS Hawkins, Captain Michael "Mike" Wheeler is eager to get out there and live every Starfleet cadet's dream.  Backing him up is a crack senior staff of old Academy friends... as well as one mysterious young woman with a handful of secrets up her sleeve.  Together, they seek out adventure and discovery--boldly going where no one has gone before!

The Other Thing (Complete - 67k words) Fandom: Stranger Things Type: AU (high school, alternate powers) Rating: Teen (violence, body horror, mild language) Summary: El escaped from the lab, but not before they put the other thing inside her.  For four years, it and her rescuer-turned-adoptive-father Hopper have been her only company as she hid away in a remote cabin outside of Hawkins.  Now, at last, she's taking her first steps into the world, attending Hawkins High in the guise of an ordinary student.  New friends and new experiences await her... but that doesn't mean that the shadows of her past, human or otherwise, are done with her just yet.

Out Of The Ashes (3.4k words) Fandom: Stranger Things Type: AU (post-apocalyptic) Rating: Teen (implied violence, dead bodies, mild language) Summary: A battered car pulls up to a ruined building for the night.  An old lab hides secrets from years ago.  And in the middle of the blasted wasteland that is the world, two people meet for the first time.

Hi everybody! I guess I'm writing again, at least for the moment. Have a short (sub-1k) fic about Rachel Duncan from Orphan Black and the Doctor from Doctor Who, because I could.

Well, tonight I watched Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country for the first time, and... look, I’m not saying that I’ve, like, patented a new, female, Vulcan crew member turning out to be an extremist who assassinates a dignitary because she genuinely believes that it’s in the best interest of the Federation... I’m just saying that I had no awareness of what the plot of this movie was when I wrote that chapter.

Why do people stop commenting on fics if they’re more than a week or two old? Please comment on old fics. Tell me you like my one shot from 2014. Tell me you like my old multi-chap I finished in 2016 that I spent a year writing. I will be fucking thrilled.

I remember Stranger Trek and The Other Thing with a lot of fondness! Are you still into ST? Hard to be with the hiatus, I know. Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Stranger Things will always hold a special place in my heart, but yeah, I’ve been much less actively into it with the hiatus and everything.  That said, I do have some rough notes & outlines for a Stranger Trek “Season 2″ with the vague intention to work on it more once we get closer to S4 dropping

Wow, I haven’t touched this sideblog in a while.

Anyway, it’s probably not surprising to hear that I’ve been on hiatus for a good long while now--combination of heavy general life burnout and a desire to work on my original fiction.  I still get very nice comments on my fics from time to time, and I do read and appreciate them even if I don’t always have the capacity to muster a reply.

as someone who exclusively finds fic through bookmarks of authors I like the heartbreak of seeing works (112) bookmarks (0) is only matched by going to an author’s page, seeing works (12) bookmarks (679) except their written fic and what they bookmark are from wildly divergent fandoms

Not calling out anyone in particular, but when I describe a character in gender-neutral terms and y’all consistently refer to them as “he/him” in the notes, I do notice that.

Chapter 4 of Necrodeviant is (finally) up!

Now officially on the run, Gideon and Harrow are joined by Camilla, Palamedes, and a new ally who brings new leads on the situation--but the mystery only continues to deepen.
