It's such an unfathomable, enormous thing to me, the Tulkun are people, like you and I. PEOPLE. WITH CULTURE AND LANGUAGE AND THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS. They are composers and mathematicians and dancers and hunters and teachers and students. They are people. AND EVERYONE IS TREATING THEM LIKE FUCKING WHALES????

Imagine if it was a plot-point that the RDA were harvesting Na'vi spinal fluid?? Everyone would rightfully be upset about that. But because the Tulkun look sorta like whales, everyone seems to forget that they're people, exactly like humans and Na'vi, and suddenly them being killed for their bodily fluids is just a sad "save the whales" story. What the fuck??

If I see a single one of those "hurr durr the Na'vi look too human, they should look more alien, it would be more realistic", if I see a single one of you guys referring to the Tulkun as whales or treating them like animals, I'm gonna flip a fucking table. Years of listening to "why do these aliens just look like blue humans lol" but when you're confronted with a truly alien people you treat them like they're fucking animals
