I was planning to have separate blogposts for each like I used to but then I saw The Peppy Girl's recent blog and I figured out it'd be easier to also fuse everything in one post! ^_^ I hope that's fine with the shop owners. <3
I tend to pressure myself to advertise your shops right away because I feel ashamed to keep you waiting. :(( So I post them on Instagram asap instead of synchronizing them with my blogpost. :p So yeah, amateur blogger alert! :))
By the way, excuse the change in temperature, shadows, and lighting because all these were taken by iPhone only at different points in time.
Thank you, HIJAB COUTURE!
Hijab Couture is a shop based in Davao City that also sells modest clothing aside from their quirky-designed scarves.
I received two chiffon scarves and a set of arm candies like my twinsy! :D
Wooooot! O_O Tiffany blue with tiny polka dots + Marilyn Monroe??? You sure do know my type, sis. Mwihihi!
The quality of their chiffon is really good. I also like how their material is a bit thicker than most chiffon scarves which means they provide better coverage and they stay in place much easier.
Isn't this set of arm candies such an eye candy? ;p Just so vintage European! <3
The blush pink batwing top and tiffany blue hijab with glitters came in as a surprise package a couple of weeks after they sent the first parcel. AAAHHH!!! I really have a weakness for surprise packages so thank you, sis! ^_^ Also, thank you for supporting my love for pastels! ;p
Thank you, JUST ECLATANT SHOP!
The owner of Just Eclatant is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia and her official distributor in the Philippines is based in Pagadian City. They sell Dead Sea products that are all imported from Amman, Jordan.
I've been curious about their products and luckily, the owner was nice enough to send one for me to try.
I cut the soap into parts so as not to waste the product. I just bring a piece to the bathroom and just set aside the rest.
At first use, I already felt my face was squeaky clean yet it wasn't drying. After two days, whiteheads started showing up which meant this soap really detoxifies the skin and takes out the impurities from our pores.
The pimple that was about to form under my chin dried up after one week of usage. At that point, I decided to start using the soap on this skin asthma I had on my elbow. Notice that I used "had"? Coz guess what! It actually vanished after a few days! O_O
Get one to discover more of its magic yourself!
Thank you, FATIMA ZAKIRA!
The seller is based in Iligan City so I had the privilege of meeting her in person. And whoa, what a beauty! :D Follow the page for scarves and maxis from this pretty seller! <3
Thanks for the prayer beads, Ate Let! I love the pearls and the mint-colored tassels! I hope you'd restock your prayer dresses pretty soon. :D
Cory Shoppe is owned by Ate Cory who used to be based in Saudi Arabia but is now back in Iligan City / Marawi City. She offers makeup, hijab pins, bags, shoes, and other imported items.
Months ago, she already promised to give me a gift when her online shop opens so it was so kind of her to still remember. ^_^
Aside from the pretty hijab pins with the cutest wooden box, she also sent me this eyeshadow, eyeshadow primer, and lip gloss. I just ran out of my Primer Potion so the one she gave is really useful for my makeup clients! :D
Thank you, FAME XCESS BOWS!
FameXcess is owned by Amira who is based in Zamboanga City and she offers bow pins, brooches, and other hijab candies!
This one's my favorite! Polka dots, lace, and a pearl?! All the things I like in one bow! :D
Aren't they all just kawaii?! She even makes some of these herself! How creative! Thanks, sis Amira for your sweet notes and for sending me my first ever hijab bow pin collection! ^_^
Thank you, EXQUISITE FINDS!
Exquisite Finds is a Manila-based online shop that sells stylish clothing from Bangkok and imported branded shoes, bags, and makeup.
One of the owners, Arnie, hails from Davao City and she has become a good friend of mine. She is the designer of islamicaphorisms if you still remember me raving about her creations on Instagram. :D
She just got back from her business trip to Bangkok lately and it was really nice of her to send Mara, Mia, and I items from their shop.
The shade of pink she chose for me is just so thoughtful! :">
They also offer this one in teal and mustard. Go check their page out to know the availability.
I got the same sweater with my twin! She got one in the color mint! They are just sooo us, don't you think? :D Thanks, Arn! <3
Thank you, BEAUTIFUL SCARF UNLIMITED!
Beautiful Scarf Unlimited is owned by the beautiful Bajunaid-Mackno sisters. Ate Basma who is based in Singapore personally handpicks the scarves that she is going to send to the Philippines and Ate Sheham who is based in Iligan City handles the business transactions from there.
These hijab headbands and this pink prayer beads were made by their eldest sister, Ate Aliya, who just got back from Saudi Arabia. They describe her as the crafty one in the bunch! :D
They gave me these during their visit here at home after Taraweeh. Yes, the three of them came to visit me! I feel so honored. We discovered that all of us graduated high school in MSU IIT IDS (A science high school in Iligan City). We all instantly clicked and I was now considered as their adopted bunso. Mwihihi! ;p
Yey for scarves!!! The bottom two are additions to my twin hijab collection with Mara. We're so lucky that they're so supportive with our tandem. Ahaha! We love you, Ate's! ^_^
My mom and I were already patrons of BSU scarves when I was still starting out with the hijab. I love how their scarves are the types we would likely find in Promod, Forever 21, Terranova, etc. yet they sell them at more affordable prices.
Even non-Muslim scarf-lovers would definitely enjoy this shop! Make sure to get yourself one of their signature tasseled scarves! I call them the Reyna ng Tassels. :))
Ate Basma is such a private person so I'm not going to say much. But how she enjoys her privacy just tells a lot of how genuine she is.
She was my surprise visitor all the way from Singapore on one Ramadan night. I was in my pajamas when I opened the gate and I couldn't hold back my tears as I hugged her.
I hated myself because I didn't know why I was crying! I just couldn't believe I finally met her for the first time!
The sincere care she has for people makes me teary-eyed! It's like I've known her for ages. Sobra sobrang gaan ng feeling ko sa kanya and I just couldn't put it in any other way. :')
Argh! Why do I always make myself cry. Ahaha! I miss you, Ate Bas!
These were her thoughtful pasalubongs! I appreciate how even the paper bag was carefully thought of. ^_^ She knows I always notice the little things! <3
My favorite pasalubong of all!!! My new Kamatis! I call my pin cushion, Kamatis. Ain't it so dainty? I'm so so in love with it! <33
Thank you, HOUSE OF HABIBI!
House of Habibi is owned by the gorgeous MBB (Bajunaid-Biruar) sisters and they're cousins of the owners of Beautiful Scarf Unlimited! All these ladies are a living testimony that beauty does indeed run in the blood! ;p
You may visit their boutique at the Alnor Complex in Cotabato City. <3
I just love the Moroccan feel of these vibrant Pashmina scarves! Thanks to their nephew for sponsoring these! :))
Thank you, BABO ALEE and MAMA LES!
Really didn't expect to receive gifts from my aunt-in-law-to-be and my grandmother-in-law-to-be (In shaa Allah) ^_^
I remember meeting the both of them for the first time during Jam and Mara's wedding rehearsal a day before their actual wedding in September last year.
The second time I got to meet them, you ask? Well, it was on the day of my wedding engagement / Salangguni / Dialaga four months after! Who knew, right? :))
I love the blue paisley scarf and this mint green chiffon maxi dress! Kilig! :">
