The amount of gifts I’ve been receiving lately is quite overwhelming. To all those generous and kind people, I really can't thank you enough. :">

Although I sincerely appreciate such gifts, I can't help but feel a little guilty. I've been wanting to give back to other people in return but I honestly don't have much means to do so. :(( And I don't want to give away the gifts that were given to me because that's just rude to the senders. And I love their thoughtful gifts so I would like to treasure them. <3

But I still don't like hogging all the blessings so I finally came up with this idea. Instead of sellers giving me such gifts, how about we team up and send them as giveaways to our mutual followers? :D

In that way, the followers would be happy for having a chance to win such items, the sellers would be pleased that I still get to promote their shops, and I would get the satisfaction of sharing my blessings and being part of this giving process. ^_^

I inspected it and the waistband was carefully sewn. Thumbs up! Coz I own maxi skirts wherein when you stretch the waistband a little, the waistband detaches from the skirt itself! :))

It's always a sad feeling when we find a lovely maxi skirt in Forever 21 and we can't buy it because it turns out that the lining is just up to our thighs and the rest is just see-through. T_T

But as you can see, these skirts are fully-lined so yey! :D

They offer these pre-order customized skirts in over 80 colors! And they also have free size skirts on hand!

The width of the waistband is 24.5 inches and can be stretched up to 32 inches. The length of the chiffon skirt I have is 36 inches and the lace skirt is 37 inches.

I can't believe I finally met the wedding photographer I've been stalking for months now. Every time I bring her up to anyone, all of them say she's just the kindest and sweetest person there is! And indeed, when I met her in person, she was more than that. No wonder you hear nothing but nice things about her because she always says nice things about other people as well. ^_^

Ramadan Gifts

I was planning to have separate blogposts for each like I used to but then I saw The Peppy Girl's recent blog and I figured out it'd be easier to also fuse everything in one post! ^_^ I hope that's fine with the shop owners. <3

I tend to pressure myself to advertise your shops right away because I feel ashamed to keep you waiting. :(( So I post them on Instagram asap instead of synchronizing them with my blogpost. :p So yeah, amateur blogger alert! :))

I received two chiffon scarves and a set of arm candies like my twinsy! :D

Wooooot! O_O Tiffany blue with tiny polka dots + Marilyn Monroe??? You sure do know my type, sis. Mwihihi!

The quality of their chiffon is really good. I also like how their material is a bit thicker than most chiffon scarves which means they provide better coverage and they stay in place much easier.

The blush pink batwing top and tiffany blue hijab with glitters came in as a surprise package a couple of weeks after they sent the first parcel. AAAHHH!!! I really have a weakness for surprise packages so thank you, sis! ^_^ Also, thank you for supporting my love for pastels! ;p

The owner of Just Eclatant is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia and her official distributor in the Philippines is based in Pagadian City. They sell Dead Sea products that are all imported from Amman, Jordan.

I've been curious about their products and luckily, the owner was nice enough to send one for me to try.

I cut the soap into parts so as not to waste the product. I just bring a piece to the bathroom and just set aside the rest.

At first use, I already felt my face was squeaky clean yet it wasn't drying. After two days, whiteheads started showing up which meant this soap really detoxifies the skin and takes out the impurities from our pores.

The pimple that was about to form under my chin dried up after one week of usage. At that point, I decided to start using the soap on this skin asthma I had on my elbow. Notice that I used "had"? Coz guess what! It actually vanished after a few days! O_O

She was my surprise visitor all the way from Singapore on one Ramadan night. I was in my pajamas when I opened the gate and I couldn't hold back my tears as I hugged her.

I hated myself because I didn't know why I was crying! I just couldn't believe I finally met her for the first time!

The sincere care she has for people makes me teary-eyed! It's like I've known her for ages. Sobra sobrang gaan ng feeling ko sa kanya and I just couldn't put it in any other way. :')

Argh! Why do I always make myself cry. Ahaha! I miss you, Ate Bas!

Really didn't expect to receive gifts from my aunt-in-law-to-be and my grandmother-in-law-to-be (In shaa Allah) ^_^

I remember meeting the both of them for the first time during Jam and Mara's wedding rehearsal a day before their actual wedding in September last year.

The second time I got to meet them, you ask? Well, it was on the day of my wedding engagement / Salangguni / Dialaga four months after! Who knew, right? :))

The Downside

The only downside to not holding grudges is that you tend to forget things so easily. And when people try to remind you why you should be upset with certain people, you still don’t get upset. Oh wait, I guess there’s no downside to it after all. :)

Let’s all learn to forgive, everybody. And at the same time, I sincerely ask for everybody’s forgiveness.

Ramadan Kareem, my Muslim sisters! I'm so happy because this is my second Ramadan as a Hijabi. Alhamdulillah. I'll probably take a break from fashion posts for a while. I'll try to focus more on my writing again. Bismillah!

Jeepneys & Unintentional Eavesdropping

On a jeepney ride on my way home, I overheard some non-Muslim passengers talking about the Hijab. And the fact that they used the term “hijab” instead of “purong” or “kumbong” like how people usually call it around here made me curious of what they had to say.

They were saying that the hijab is actually really nice. One brought up that she follows a Hijabi on Instagram and that changed her perception about Muslim women. She said Hijabis are so elegant with their modest clothing and they look like princesses.

I had my back facing them the entire time but I couldn't help but smile because of their comments. It feels great to know that the people's awareness is being raised. And it feels great that they appreciate the modesty of our Hijab.

Thank you for finding this part of our religion beautiful. I find it beautiful, too. :”>
