उन औरतों के लिए

जिन्हें शायद बराबरी के बड़े-बड़े सिद्धांत नहीं पता थे,

लेकिन जिम्मेदारी निभाने का मतलब

वे हमसे बेहतर समझती थीं।

चाहे वो मां हों, बहन हों, पत्नी हों

या फिर प्रेमिका…

उन्होंने अक्सर अपनी खुशियों से पहले

किसी और की जरूरतों को रखा।

कई बार ऐसे पुरुषों के लिए भी

जिनकी राह आसान बनाने में

उन्होंने अपने हिस्से की कई खामोश कुर्बानियां दे दीं,

और बदले में

बस उनके साथ का सुकून ही काफी समझा।

खास तौर पर उन मांओं और बहनों के लिए

जिनकी दुनिया अपने बेटे और भाई के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती रही,

और उन प्रेमिकाओं के लिए भी

जिन्होंने अपने प्रेम के लिए

कभी दुनिया से लड़ने में भी संकोच नहीं किया।

और जब निभाने की बारी आई

तो वे पीछे नहीं हटीं।

आज मैं जो भी हूं

उसमें उन औरतों का बड़ा हिस्सा है।

मेरी जिंदगी में आने वाली

हर उस औरत को

दिल से धन्यवाद।

एक और बात ये भी है कि इतिहास बड़े-बड़े नायकों के नाम याद रखता है, लेकिन उनके पीछे खड़ी औरतों के नाम अक्सर हवा में खो देता हैं। फिर भी दुनिया उन्हीं के धैर्य और खामोश ताकत पर टिककर चलती रहती है।
