Maybe I’m crazy but I have always thought that the Great Prophecy was just Percy’s prophecy and that was like the point. It says “a child of the eldest gods shall reach 16 against all odds” but I never thought it was just like “ANY child of the big three turning 16 will coincide with the end of the world”, it was always Percy’s destiny, not something that could be pushed onto another child of the big three. Thalia joining the hunters didn’t prevent the war from happening the next day, it was never meant to happen then, even if she had turned 16. And if Nico had never been put in the lotus hotel the war still wouldn’t have happened when he was 16 because it was ALWAYS Percy’s fate. Maybe I somehow missed something in the books, but I assumed this was how everyone thought about it. Kronos and his army would not be ready for the attack on Olympus by Thalia’s birthday and Kronos hadn’t even started reforming in Nico’s original timeline. Like yes The Great Prophecy was told wayyyyy before Percy was born but that’s kinda how prophecies work…..am I alone on this or do others also think it has always been Percy’s prophecy alone.
