"The Queen of the Damned"

I decided to draw her after watching TVL's finale because they apparently decided to opt her out of the story in many ways... so!! Even though I don't like her much as a character I decided to pay homage to her and to her role as a dark goddess archetype. I took inspiration from Kirikù et la sorcière Karaba, from the goddess Kali and a bit of Medusa too.

I’m so fucking conflicted man. I LOVED season 3 but in other ways I feel like it was too much too quick and the cramming the entirety of TVL into 7 episodes was a disaster.

Also like… Louis waiting till the end to aknowledge Armand’s trauma but also like… Armand responding to it emotionally?

I feel like if someone brings up his past hes just sorta like “yeah what about it.” I don’t even think he told the entirety of it to Louis in the book, only Lestat.

And reducing Armand to just a revenge hungry kid is kinda ehhhh

Maybe thats just me.

I guess I miss the beauty of the first two seasons and this one was just Lestat trauma dumping for like an hour despite some scenes being truly beautiful. Maybe they should have picked like three things and not EVERYTHING. Kinda takes away from the under plot of like the great conversion or whatever.

Like what am I supposed to take away from thiissss 😭
