Commission rules and stuff

Wanted to put this here!

I don’t do any commissions as of right now. I will, however, draw WoF (Wings of Fire) characters from the books for free through my ask box! I’m not doing OCs for now, I’m working on opening commissions as of right now!

Turns out it’s hard to take commissions without doxxing yourself, so I’ll likely get comms set up at a much later date.

Life is lifing normally, so I’ll try and post some art.

(One of) My Tomadachi Life : LtD islands!

This is one of my two current islands, and this one is dedicated to Wings of Fire, cannon and non-cannon characters.

This is kinda a part one of information about the island I do plan to post more about it.

A heads up now!!!

All characters regardless of in book age has been made at least 18!! This was done as it’s a goofy funny island I wanted to see what happened on. If Tomodatchi Life pairs up people who canonically have an age gap: I don’t support that ship, the point of this island is to say yes to most everything they ask for and see what happens.

The only real restraints put in place are sexuality’s and siblings, the first we will cover later but the second will be shown via emojis, if the same emoji is on two people they are siblings in the game.

So please know I am simply the yes man to these all magically now 18+ year old dragons. Who knows maybe age 5 or something is equal to 18 in human years.

Howdy people of tumblr. I doubt many people will see this as, shocker, I am not internet famous.

Basically as of right now I have no access to Procreate, aka the art app that stores my everything.

This is as my iPad refused to go out of recovery mode after a recent update, meaning some piece of hardware is not working properly. Based on the fact it’s still booting up and updated properly I may still have all my procreate data, but as of now I won’t be able to post most anything art related as it’s currently in shop to be repaired.

Hopefully this is resolved as uneventfully as possible. On this blog I am thinking about posting a Tomodachi Life: LtD island that has many Wings of Fire characters in the meanwhile.

So hi. I have no clue what’s wrong with the old iPad still, and the people we sent it to don’t do hardware problems. But I have a new iPad now. With all my old Procreate data on it!!!

So it worked out, I’ll still post some TL:LtD WoF content now since art takes me a bit.

Ages in Wings of Fire

So a while ago someone released a quick reference chart for fanfic writers with approximate dragon ages. The thing is this thing built for very loose reference has been treated like it’s cannon for quite a bit now. Many others have their own takes on the age chart itself, but I have my own approach to making one and I thought I should share.

Now I will say the ways I am doing this isn’t perfect. And it’s mainly built on the idea of the books more egregious age gaps being fixed, at least a bit. So essentially this is being built to try and appease how Tui implies and portrays the ages in the book.

I decided to put the common fannon chart next to my own so differences could’d be seen. My chart is on top while the fannon is n the bottom.

I attempted to line up 7 ‘the adult age’ with when growth spurts stop in humans, since it’s when a dragon stops growing as fast, while 14 is when a dragon gets closer to 18. You also may have noticed that my age chart doesn’t go that long. That is because of how much aging slows, to enough of a point that it is negligible after they hit 7, as we haven’t been given much of a lifespan, so I am assuming that most older dragons get sick and die especially since it seems medicine is at a medieval level in Arc 2. 1 year old dragons have speech capabilities, which would mean they reach the 5 year old milestone in human years. Here are both equations I used for each age chunk, again this is just my interpretation:

1-7

[Dragon Years]^1.2+4 = [Human Years]

7+

ln([Dragon Years]+[Dragon Years])*5.4 = [Human Years]

Hope some people find this useful! I mainly just wanted to make it so 7 wasn’t 18, do know my interpretation is likely not cannon.

Hybrid chart challenge 5

A winner has been…. Almost chosen?

There has been a tie between the dominant tribe (aka the Mom) being Leafwing, Silkwing, or Hivewing.

Instead of doing a tie breaking poll like last I decided to make a tie breaking digital wheel since I didn’t want to wait for a poll to finish!

So the winner is………

Silkwing!

So next we’ll be drawing A9 a Silkwing dominant and a Sandwing recessive hybrid! Guess I’m going to be looking up some desert butterflies!
