Hanna Saw Melissa, Not Spencer

Marlene is distracting us with the thought that Spencer has a twin! In a recent interview Ashley Benson said so many fans were already guessing who Uber A/ AD was “so we have to kinda distract them from their answers.” She continuously told us to “pay really close attention to what people say” pay close attention to details, and “pay attention to all of the lines that the, fouuur girls are saying.” So hearing her say this makes me think back to Spencer. I feel it was too obvious to just throw a Spencer twin in there because a lot of people felt it was her twin so that would’ve been too easy. Slightly earlier in the episode Mary Drake visited Spencer and she already was familiar with the Hastings family and their secrets. She looked at a picture Spencer had of her and Melissa and said they looked just alike, “almost like twins”. IMO they don’t look much alike but Mary thought this and said it for a reason. Later Hanna is shown in the barn(possibly the apple farm?) and it seemed like “Spencer” was trying to indirectly tell Hanna that wasn’t a dream and she was really there. This really stood out to me: “Spencer, I think this A is a lot smarter than the others” “You told them the truth, right?” Spencer knew Hanna lied about being the one to kill Charlotte so why would Spencer even ask that? And why did Spencer say “them” when Hanna doesn’t even know A.D. has a partner yet, Spencer also actually used the name A.D. when talking about how they have a way in and out of there, Hanna doesn’t even know about A.D. “Spencer’s” whole body language just seemed to have told a lot on its own in that scene, plus that wasn’t the way Spencer wears her hair anymore. I originally thought this was Spencer’s twin but now i believe it was Melissa and we were just seeing her from Hanna’s cloudy point of view. I believe Melissa is going to become a huge part of the story this season.

Mary Drake teases we learnt from Spencer-

Mary Drake is around 51 years old, and Spencer said she was in and out of Radley for a significant part of her life, she was admitted to Radley for an incident involving the death of a child in her care whilst babysitting, ‘she was forced to stay in Radley till she was 18′, therefore she was younger than 18 when the child’s death happened. So say she was 18/ younger, that means it was around 33 years ago that the child died, so she wasn’t Spencer’s babysitter because Spencer isn’t 33 or older.

She was apparently readmitted several times, so more than once, until she was allowed out for good 23 years ago. So she’s been out of Radley for 23 years. The girls are all approximately 23 or so years old, coincidence? i think not. 

She didn’t kill Spencer’s ‘twin’ whilst babysitting, but she could potentially be a mother to one of the girls. Also if she wasn’t out of Radley till 23 years ago, does that mean Charlotte was born in Radley? Did Mary sneak out to be with Charlotte’s dad? Or could her father be a Radley patient too?
