Kalimán, el Hombre Increíble  // Mexican Comics

Kaliman is a popular Mexican comic book superhero created by Rafael Cutberto Navarro and Modesto Vázquez González. He is very famous across Latin America. The Kaliman comic depicts the adventures of Kaliman and his young companion Solín, an Egyptian boy who is descended from Pharaohs. Their adventures generally take place in exotic locations. 

Kaliman started as a radio show in 1963, from which the comic book series was born. The comic was printed weekly for twenty-six years, reaching its highest popularity in 1965.

Kalimán has no superhuman powers, he is a human at the peak of his abilities, thanks to the esoteric knowledge he has. It is assumed that Solín, a common boy, will eventually take his place as he learns from Kalimán.

The first issue of Kaliman was published on December 4, 1965 with the first ot ten parts of the story “Los Profanadores de Tumbas”, (“The Tomb Raiders”). 100,000 copies were sold out within that week, so the issue had to be reprinted. The original series ran until 1991–1,348 weekly issues. (X)

- being yelled countless times in the face by your classmates you’re ugly - having no friends because you’re too ugly - always picked last - always pushed to the back of the line - no one ever wanted to partner up with you - no one ever wanted to share supplies with you - sitting with you was considered gross - being the main target to get pulled , pushed , messed with and blamed on - Never getting any valentines or they were forced given to you - People shocked when you say you’re dating - You’re the joke of the class - “ew don’t touch me ” - not even trying anymore in classes / not being focused - being so desperate you’d date anyone - giving out your stuff / food to make a friend - washing your skin with anything you can find to make it lighter - taking you an extremely long time to learn to be nice cause you have always been forced to throw insults back instead - sitting alone during lunch - spending you’re elementary and middle school life almost practically alone or with shitty friends

Don’t lie to them. If y'all are in love, tell them what’s bothering you. They care. It’s okay to be vulnerable with them. Don’t tell them “yea I’m okay” and you’re not, because then you’ll be mad at them for not understanding your hurt when YOU HAVEN’T EVEN EXPLAINED IT to them. People can’t read minds. Give them the chance to listen, give them the chance to understand. Let them love you okay, communication is key.
