hii official announcement here on tumblr that i’m going to be reviving this blog that used to be my personal one for many many years into my new front-facing neet (tm) zone 🍄🌾✨🌷🍂

to reintroduce myself and what i’ve been up to recently:

i’m anita/neet, known on twitch as ohthatsneet and twitter and kofi as sweet acorn. i’m an artist and stream mainly sandbox and chill story games, most recently playing tears of the kingdom. i have a mascot for my content which is a forest creature/possum/squirrel fursona based on my IRL appearance, and i love woodland things like acorns, mushrooms and leaves 🍂🌾🍄 which are recurring motifs in my artwork and branding. on kofi i have a digital downloads shop and i offer commissions occasionally. 

i’ve experimented with more long-form style blogging content before on fanhouse and then on kofi memberships, but i’ve been a tumblr enjoyer for over a decade and used to post my art on here way back when.

i’m hoping to give this blog some love and cultivate a space to share my art, thoughts/feelings, life updates, witchy stuff, books, memes, and whatever else like maybe gaming related stuff that i want to share but need more than 4 images or 280 characters to do so... 😣

so yaaaah i’ll be more active reblogging / posting things i like that i wanna share and hopefully you enjoy seeing them on your dashboard too!

My wife did some glass etching, so we have a bunch of glasses with this at the bottom.

This was early on in our marriage, these are just the glasses we use every day.

Fast forward to when my son is five years old. He has learned to read. He has graduated from sippy cups.

When I hear him wailing and crying I come running down the stairs, and he's inconsolable. Took a lot of soothing and time to explain to him that it was just a joke. He wanted the glasses destroyed, but as a compromise we retired them from use for a while.

I hate how 3 pm is so close to 2 pm so there's an illusion that there's still time left in the day to do things but in reality 3 pm is also close to 4 pm and if it's close to 4 pm you might as well just wait till tomorrow. <- can't argue against this by the way.

i’ve been thinking about innocuous photos like the one on the left. because it is my job to neglect the sprouts of imperialism and racism that accompanied my upbringing, i've been attempting to find solidarity even in the innocuous. and how easily it comes: marah and i, both schoolgirls who like cute things, both compelled by the desire to photograph our supplies after arranging them to be just-so. the photo on the right is an old one of mine.

if you were to ask yourself:

“how much do i have in common with a palestinian?”

i think the answer would be “everything.” maybe you’re united by the love you have for your pets, being fans of the same goth rock band, or the fact that, were something of severity to happen to your family, you’d also be online, asking for help in a way your elders might find it hard to wrap their heads around, and making sure people knew they could trust your campaign.

and if this were a message you were sending, i hope that your hope would remain in tact, because people like us, on the other end, would be doing everything they could to help you.
