Quinn: So, I’m pretty sure the cabins were supposed to bring us closer together, and I think that it’s been long enough now for some solid results. How’s everybody enjoying the bliss that is this summer? 💛

kitty: what does that? mean? whose your roommate?

kitty: and i've always loved the summer. then again, i never really experienced much of anything else. the weather in Africa is between hot and pouring rain.

I never thought I would say it, but I can’t wait for classes to start. I’m done with this whole summer camping thing. Has anybody actually enjoyed themselves or are we all complaining the same amount that I am? I need a new tattoo and a drink.

i don’t know about that! i’ve been having a LOT of fun this summer. Mateo had a blast during that water gun fight. why so glum though?

Spencer: It sounds soo adorable. I'm excited to meet him. If I brought along his favourite treat do you think that would make him more inclined to like me?

Spencer: You're not wrong. I love taking up any opportunity to help people.

kitty: you don't have too because i have ALL of his favorite treats! haha. but all you have to do is give him some tender loving and he'll be okay.

noah: oh wow I never knew that! looks like you had the perfect partner by your side for a water fight, then! that's great, because i would have felt very sad if he was spooked by water with everything happening around here at the moment.

noah: really? that's great! I will definitely let you know. i figure my mom would want to start looking closer to me moving out for medical school. she will need the company.

kitty: oh yeah, he's a really good doggie. if you stick around long enough, i might hit you with enough video to make your memory run out. that's at least what happened to me. and no! he actually loved it A LOT. though he didn't really get the point of staying dry! haha.

kitty: oh yeah? i think we can find her the perfect fit. if not, we have enough of a little group that can find people. thank you for considering. i never knew how much people abandon their pets here :( it makes me sad...

I’d say that the reason was school spirit, but I’m not convinced that much thought went into it. That said, I was ‘out’ pretty quickly too.

i can’t say i tried really hard to not get wet. i went in figuring that i would end up getting wet anyway? you know? kind of hard not to with all those people around. but more or less fun though. i’d never been in one.

If I’ve learned anything since I started at this very strange school, it’s that there is basically no rhyme or reason to any of the “activities” they seem to put on. 

I’ve just let myself have fun with it - even spent an hour running on that slip and slide that’s over by the cabins earlier. Might as well take advantage of it, right?

what do you mean? i thought that was with the whole summer theme. then again, i only started here a little while ago. there was this movie night, but i couldn’t go because one of my new kitties got sick. 

what’s a slip and slide? i’ve never seen one of those before.

Hasn’t it been fun? I for one have found a silver lining in the fact that I’ve spent a lot more time outside in the sun so I could dry off! It could certainly always be worse. 

i had tons of fun. though in the end, it was SUPER weird getting completely dumped on even though Mateo and I were already out.

Noah: I’ll show you anything you need to know, if you want? I think you deserve to have a fighting chance and a good time!

Noah: Sounds like the perfect new family member for someone! You should put some posters of Beans around the camp. I love dogs and when I’m finally settled, I think I will get one if my job gives me the time. Or I have a family to keep him or her company.

kitty: It was pretty easy actually, not as hard as I thought it was going to be. Also, Mateo REALLY liked the part where he got wet. Do you know what a Newfoundland dog is? They are the ultimate life guards. They were originally bred so that they had webbed feet to help rescue people from drowning!

kitty: Yes, I put him up on this facebook page. Hopefully, I'll be able to find him a home soon. Please let me know when you're looking! We're a little foster home for pets to help out the local shelter.

Spencer: Okay, yes. So adorable. I love animals, and I would love to come meet him. I had no idea the purred, what?! That makes them even more adorable.

Spencer: I know that feeling. I always feel like I'm not doing enough.

kitty: yes! he purres! it's totally adorable. and it lets me know that he's a happy bunbun.

kitty: yeah :( but the good thing is there is always opportunity to do more good. so it gets me excited again. haha.

Splash splash!

per usual, mateo, the german sheppard, was right next to kitty. there wasn’t a day that the golden retriever wasn’t seen next to the fun loving girl. this summer had been especially fun with all the festivities. mateo had handled himself well with the other students, being patient as he was often used for kitty’s dog training lessons. the two were walking a long the sidewalk when the fun started. confused she watched the others start the fight. 

seeing these types of things in movies or commercials, kitty’s face perked up. soon, she went to go get her own weapons. to her, it was all fun and games. taking water balloons, she chuckled them at a couple of students. was she doing right thing? she didn’t know. as water balloons came flying at her, she squealed, thinking that they would hit her. at the last minute, mateo leaped into the air and took a bite at the water balloon. in the animal’s surprise, it burst the moment it came in contact with his teeth. 

mateo looked back up to have a go at more water balloons flying. kitty laughed as she held out a balloon for mateo to bit at. excitedly, he bit the balloon to have it burst all over kitty. she let out a scream. technically at this point, she was out, but she didn’t care. he continued to throw the water balloons for the dog to enjoy. eventually, mateo and kitty decided to call it quits. 

she moved through to the over grown grass into the shade of the bleachers. she took a moment to rest. with her clothes relevantly dry, kitty decided to go on back to her cabin. as she stepped out from the bleachers, a waterfall rush of water pour over her. she quickly held her breathe as the cold water drenched her once again. 

angry, she twisted around to look up to see nothing. “hey! i was already out!” she shouted. however, there was no reply. she looked down at mateo who was furiously lapping at the running water. she sighed out as she saw his fur drenched yet again. “at least you’re enjoying this.” she giggled as he flopped over and rolled in the extra water.
