My lyft driver took my drunk ass home, and recognized me from work and he said it was really brave and bold of me to have tourettes and he said it in like the sweetest non condesending way like he was in awe of me and just, I was hella drunk but it was a good moment

So recently I've been having this thing where my arms and shoulders will tense up (sometimes my neck jerks back too), and from what I've heard, it sounds kind of like a tic. The only thing is it only happens when I'm cold, so idk if it's a tic or just a cold shudder. If you know anything about this, please help ❤️
Sounds like its probably just a cold shudder or a muscle spasm from the cold but I'm not a doctor

hey! i’ve had a neck twitching/stemming(?) problem for a while and a couple of weeks ago I started doing this popping thing with my mouth and thought it would just go away but it hasn’t, is there any way to stop or repress it without biting my lip? it gets really annoying and i get self conscious about the sound it makes? if so is there a way to stop the twitching as well? if it happens a lot it’ll start hurting my neck a lot
you can try things that help, tics are exacerbated by emotion so chamomile tea, excersize, meditating can help a bit.
For me they seem to get better when I Flood by body with potassium and magnesium so Gatorade, bananas, avocados, and supplements can help.
What exactly is a tic attack? I thought it was just having many tics repeatedly within a really short time span (if that makes any sense) but that ask about painful tic attacks made me wonder if that's not what that is
I tic attack means different things to different people. But yeah basically it is a bunch of tics really close together which can be really painful.
At this point in my life for me tic attacks look like a grand mal seizure. I'm basically convulsing on the floor for up to four hours.
In highschool for me tic attacks were more complex but simpler at the same time, it was my normal tics ramped up to a thousand and it would last an hour tops.
shout out to my psych who took away my emergency tic attack meds and told me to get a stressball
