BLOG UPDATE (Long, but IMPORTANT)

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well. This is just an update to let you all know that soon I will be doing a HARD RESET of this blog. I’m moving it so that it is no longer a side blog to my main. This is my way of starting fresh, as I have felt very cluttered and bogged down here recently. All of my current and ongoing threads I will continue on my new blog once it is set up, unless you would like to drop it and start a new one (in which case message me, we’ll work something out). I have a thread tracker so I’ll be able to see when you respond, so no worries on your end. I’ll most likely see it and move it over (this blog will stay up, just archived).

In addition, my new blog will be semi-selective and MUTUALS ONLY. This is for my own sanity as I have felt overwhelmed with keeping my blog open. I like to give everyone a chance, but I also need to set some boundaries for myself. I’ll go into details about what this entails in my new rules page once that is set up as well. I will not follow anyone who does not have a rules page or who has a rules page that is hard to find/access.

Last thing, my inbox here will be CLOSED permanently starting Friday. I will keep my ask box on my new blog open, but I do not want anything new coming to me here during this time of transition. I recently went through my asks and trashed a good number of them. I didn’t necessarily want to, but for the sake of getting through things, it was necessary. Sorry if you sent something in a while ago and I ended up deleting it. I swear it has nothing to do with you, but rather my current motivation levels. I kept a few that are new (as in 1-2 days old) or that I’ve had for a while and really really wanted to write (but haven’t gotten around to yet). I also kept the art prompt ones that I will get to!

I will be going on a small hiatus here while I get everything all set up over on my new blog. If you need me for anything or just wanna chat, you most likely won’t be able to reach me here, but you can find me on D.iscord (just let me know who you are if you add me). miabria#3305

Otherwise, I will be active on my OC blog @nakamxra so you can find me there as well.

Alright, I decided to trash the remaining asks that I have. No matter how much I want to write them, I just can’t bring myself to do it. This blog is dead and there’s no use rekindling the few embers that still remain.

This blog is officially archived and I will be taking the weekend to finish updating icons and writing up my rules on my new blog. If you need me, I’ll be over on my OC account @nakamxra or you can always reach me on d.iscord miabria#3305

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention is that I am keeping all the drawing prompt asks that I got. Those are being worked on slowly but I will get to them all eventually (just need to throw my own projects in between doing them for sanity’s sake)

OOC; Tonight’s Song on Repeat

My favorite song from my favorite musical! In case any one was wondering, a lot of my headcanons for Elena’s past in Wall Market are inspired by Lucy from the Jekyll & Hyde musical because she’s just so tragic and I have a special attachment to her for some reason.

Didn’t do any writing today, but I did make significant progress on my new blog and finish a drawing so it was a pretty productive day. I’m off at 1 tomorrow so I’ll have plenty of time to get to stuff if I’m not too tired.

I’m half tempted just to trash all my asks for the sake of moving forward, but there’s only 12 and I kept them because I really want to write them, so... yeah I’ll get to them eventually. Some of them are like a month old so what’s another day of procrastination.

I’ve been pretty inactive today and yesterday, but I have made significant progress on setting up my new blog!

I’ll be responding to the last remaining asks that I threw in my drafts tomorrow (hopefully), but all my threads I’m thinking I will keep and move over to my new blog once I’m ready. Once everything’s good to go, my new blog will have the same username as this one so it shouldn’t cause any issues. If it does, please let me know and we’ll work it out. :) (I’m afraid it may mess up anyone who uses a thread tracker as well as my own thread tracker, but we’ll see. Take it one step at a time I guess)

nickname: Laney (but only two... maybe three people are allowed to call her that. Everyone else will get punched in the nose or probably just receive the most poisonous of glares)

gender: Female

romantic orientation: Bisexual/biromantic

preferred pet names: She usually sticks with “babe” or something specific to the person she’s dating (she loves pet names though!)

relationship status: Married (to the job)

favorite canon/fandom ship: Rufus/Elena :3 (Tseng/Elena is ok too I guess... ^^)

opinion on love at first sight: She thinks it’s absolute garbage. Doesn’t exist. She’s had her fair share of “infatuation at first sight” experiences, but she knows it’s never been love.

how ‘romantic’ are they?: Elena can be a bit of a hopeless romantic. She loves small romantic gestures and the idea of romance, but she is very hesitant to seek it out for herself. Her romantic side is something she very rarely displays to others.

ideal personality traits: authoritative, respectful, calm and collected

unattractive physical traits: poor hygiene. that’s really the only one that’s a deal-breaker

past relationships?: Hoo boy, were Elena’s past relationships not great. She had one or two in high school that didn’t really go anywhere, but once she graduated and started partaking in Wall Market life, she had a way of attracting just absolute garbage men and hanging around them for a while. One of her past boyfriends pulled a knife on her (she has a scar on her left side where he managed to land a decent hit), and after that she was a little more cautious when it came to long-term relationships.
