Had to cross through 16 rivers that had strong currents with water level higher than my knees and up to my waist, hiked through steep muddy hills, crossed a very slippery bamboo bridge which honestly looked unstable just to get to this place and back. I was a little disappointed because the current of the falls was too strong for anyone to swim, so I settled for this basic photo. Pics of our journey to this place to come - you'll sure get a kick out of it! I'll post it on my IG story later. 🙈 The hike to get to the top was rough. The trail was steep, muddy, slippery, & since there was no pre-warning regarding "how to get to the top," I wore my converse that had no grip on them 🤦🏻‍♀️ once you zip line towards the island, you have to go down through bamboo stairs, walk across the sandbar and walk til the end of the beach to go up again another stairs to get back to the main road. Despite all that and me hating it for a little (esp the muddy road) - the view from the top, and this moment right here, made it ALL WORTH IT. 👌🏼🌎 If you want to see the very top view - check my IG story :) (at El Nido, Palawan)

Must watch documentary on Netflix. When I went diving at West Palm Beach, I was heart broken that there were no live corals at the 3 dive spots I went to. I want my children's children to be able to explore the magic that lies beneath us. As a Floridian, I am blessed to live just driving distance away from the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world and the ONLY one in the US (Florida Keys). Don't let the fear of the unknown stop you from seeing and experiencing the whole other world underneath us. Unfortunately, we have very limited time to enjoy what's left because coral bleaching is continuously happening across the globe. Coral bleaching is when the polyp gets rid of the algae that provide most of its energy. In the past 3 years alone, there's been the highest number of recorded coral bleaching in the world. It's caused by the increase in water temperature even by 1-2 degree C. 😔 I think it's imperative that we keep ourselves educated and informed and I pray that one day either Science will find a way to help our coral's life-span or that our beautiful reefs will have tolerance in the rise of water temperature. I want to continue exploring and learning more about our Mother Nature especially the ocean. Crazy fun fact: Sharks have been noted to have a vital role in coral's health. So the more sharks there are, the healthier the corals. 🦈 ❤️ I'm sharing this because I value our ocean so much and I want to spread awareness. I highly encourage you to go out there! Explore the world. Live the life you deserve. You'll be surprised how much you will love it. It's a very quiet and peaceful place underwater and it has so much to offer and I can only hope one day I can do something to return the favor. It is truly my happy place. ❤️🌊🐠🐳 #chasingcoral
