Wentworth Season 4 Episode 1 Thoughts
Itâs about time. Welcome back Wentworth! SPOILERS AHEAD . . . Things I liked:  - Vera being governor.  - Ferguson obviously craving her pencil (and Vera)  - Allie (x Bea??)  - Kaz  - The art therapy paintings. It was kinda fruity. Things that were alright: - Bridget and Franky. Lack of chemistry and I didn't really care for the super cringey dialogue. The song was fine though! Things I didnât like: - That nurse! Even Rose was better.  - Why is Will even deputy governor? I guess that Fletch wasn't coming back to add drama and eventually usurp Vera. Overall not a bad episode. Looking forward to the next week!
30 Day Manga Challenge day 18 â favorite BL/yuri couple Maya and Ayumi from Glass Mask by Miuchi Suzue
Mostly, I love the way Ayumi understands and respects Mayaâs talent better than anyone else does, and how she did so before anyone else even noticed Mayaâs hidden talents (with the exception of Tsukikage). And I love the way her rivalry with Maya brings out new sides to Ayumi that she probably didnât even know she had. She becomes jealous and almost petty when it comes to her rivalry with Maya, something you canât even imagine the intelligent, gracious, and collected Ayumi to become about anything else. She feels superior, inferior, jealous, defeated, victorious, vengeful, awestruck⊠Ayumi feels such an amazing array of strong and conflicting emotions, all because of Maya! She plans petty revenge against someone who hurt Maya! She almost kills Maya! The way Maya stirs up all these strong emotions in Ayumi that she never felt before reads almost like romantic love to me, to be honest.
Sometimes, when Iâm reading Glass Mask, I feel almost sorry for Ayumi â not because I think Maya will end up becoming the Crimson Goddess, but because Maya seems so damn oblivious to Ayumiâs passionate feelings for her. Maya just goes on her own merry way, acting in ways she wants to, fleetingly feeling jealous of Ayumi but never as passionately as Ayumi feels jealous of Maya, and being preoccupied with Masumi and his antics. Sometimes I want to slap her and shout âHOLY CRAP MAYA DONâT YOU SEE HOW THIS PERSON CARES ABOUT YOU TO SUCH A DEGREE THAT ITâS ALMOST OBSESSION?!?!?!?!â I mean, I can imagine Maya ending up with Masumi once the manga finally ends (in 2034?), but I canât imagine Ayumi to end up with anyone, because her entire existence is so wrapped up in Maya and no one else.
So I guess my yuri OTP is Ayumi/forver-alone-because-Maya-is-oblivious. Ouch. Poor, poor Ayumi.
Watching Glass Mask right now and completely agree with this sentiment.

Remember the moment when Sharon seduces Chrissie with her massage skills while under the influence of uppers? Or when Chrissie decides to throw a chair at Sharonâs long-term girlfriend, Judy? True love right there.
With the news that Jake Stewart (based on Jock Stewart from the original Prisoner/PCBH) is going to be joining the cast of Wentworth as a (most likely twisted) corrections officer, I would love if other old characters from âPrisâ would be added in some form. I present my favourite two stirrers from PCBH: Sharon Gilmour and Chrissie Latham. Why these two? They were the love-to-hate prisoners which spiced up, feuded and riled up the rest of the cast to great effect (especially Sharon). I feel Wentworth currently has a lack of prisoners who actually stir things up with the regulars. The Bea vs Franky âtop dogâ feud in season two was disappointing because most of the prisoners got along well in their disputed sides. No one really tried to be on both sides of the team (so to speak!) In fact, the only Wentworth character that comes close is Lucy âJuiceâ Gambaro from season 3. She is a vile character and was brilliant because of that fact. I sincerely hope she makes an appearance in season 4, if only to rile up everyone. Even Bad Girls (a UK Prisoner-esque drama) had twisted prisoners in the form of Shell Dockley and the evil Natalie Buxton! So come on Wentworth, add some interesting prisoners who wonât get dropped without mention or choked to death in a prison fire.

Ashes to Ashes S03E02 - Gene: Right Shaz, letâs put an end to this leaving nonsense! Shaz: Guv, I thought you said you wouldnât mention it! Gene: I lied. Itâs long been an ambition of mine to see you out of your uniform. Shaz: GUV! Gene: No, I mean out of *the* uniform. What Iâm trying to say is, you keep up this quality of work, youâll be in CID by Christmas!
