It’s time to come clean

I’m not sure how many people seeing this even really care about or remember me at this point, but I feel like I owe an explanation. I keep saying I’ll come back and try to update more, but you all realize by now I have trouble keeping this promise. Hell, I couldn’t even keep true to my word about documenting my play-through of Mystery Dungeon.

While it is true that I’ve been more busy in the past couple of years, the real reason I stopped posting on this blog is because I started up a new account to create a League of legends role-playing blog. You all probably know about how I started role-playing as an OC character for Eternal Darkness, but I realized that interactions were difficult to write due to my style and the fact that the game itself isn’t the best for role-playing material.

So, I wound up creating a new account where I could RP as my favorite character from LoL. I made a lot of friends in that role-playing community, and soon I wound up getting more followers there than I’d ever dreamed of. Naturally, that blog began to take priority for me, to the point where I nearly forget this one even exists sometimes. Of course, since it IS still an RP blog, I don’t get to post about my personal life or interests much anymore…

So, I’m just gonna go ahead and tell you all that I can be found over on @infinite-xerath nowadays. I might remake this blog over there someday, but if anyone who still follows me here cares, I can be found over there most of the time now.

Mod: So, in other words, I've been thinking about rebooting this blog. It barely gets any use anymore, and honestly I feel kinda bad about neglecting it so much. This blog was technically how I got my start on Tumblr, but I wasn't really sure what it was. Heck, I'm still not sure. Is it a roleplay blog? A blog where I post Eternal Darkness fanfics? Is the blog deader than Mantorok? I've certainly established a plot, but to be honest, looking back on it now, it feels really forced, contrived, and has a number of plot-holes.

Right now I'm just considering what to keep and what to toss. You can still ask The Ancients, as well as Ron, whatever you wish, but I'll probably be changing how they came back, and what Ron's connection to them really IS.

As for my current thread with with-undying-rage, I'll prob be dropping it for now, seeing how not only is it taking forever to get done, but I've been lacking the motivation to even use this blog at all, let alone roleplay on it. I will, however, be willing to start a new thread with him if he's interested. (Hope that's OK with dude. You're a great RPer and do a great portrayal of one of my favorite CreepyPastas in your threads.)

So I guess for now, until I decide how to go on with this blog, expect the inactivity to continue.

…Dammit. No sign of it anywhere. I don’t get it; how could they have known I was coming? There is no fucking way… *I stop myself, interrupted by a sudden shifting sound, and quickly pull out my gun, whirling around toward the entrance.* Alright, I am not in the mood for games. If someone is hiding, come out, NOW.

*To your surprise, a guy dressed up as a monk seemingly appears out of nowhere a few feet from you. He calmly descends the stairs, and halts upon reaching the bottom.* Any funny business, you get a bullet in you. If you’ve got any friends, tell them to come out, or you’re all getting buried, got it?

Jeff had to hold his breath when he saw the man appear from his general direction to avoid yelling in surprise. He had clearly not come in the way they had. That left two possible explanations: either the had some sort of living quarters down here or, the more likely theory, there was another entrance to the catacombs he wasn’t aware of. This shit was getting too real for him.

He wondered briefly if he had been spotted. He pulled his gun free of the holster, keeping it by his side. Would the man tell the other bountyhunter if he had seen Jeff? If so, this could turn sour rather fast. And in a two-versus one situation, where he didn’t have any sort of advantage, he wasn’t sure he wanted to fight.

*The man says no words, but points directly at your hiding place. Keeping my gun trained on him, I turn my head to wear he is pointing and call out to whoever may be there* Alright, you "friend" here just ratted you out, so unless you wanna be wandering around the Trapper dimension for a while, you'd better get out here. Now.

*Walking further down the steps, I come to a small stone chamber filled with corpses. One seemed to be strapped to a table in the middle of the room, and had a knife protruding from its chest.* Lovely. Blood sacrifices. Judging by the robes on a lot of these corpses I’d say most of them are cultists themselves; traitors, no doubt, although some of them may just be volunteers… Probably not willing.

*I walk through the bodies and look about the room, observing all manner of surreal drawings and creepy torture instruments.* This really is to easy… I wonder if…

*I cast a Reveal Invisible spell, only to find that there is nothing invisible to reveal. After looking about for about half an hour, I fail to find even the slightest trace of a hidden compartment or the faintest sign of anything remotely relating to magick; at least, anything I wasn’t already aware.*

Damn. Bastards must have abandoned the place and taken it with them. Can’t believe they didn’t at least set up a trap before they left, but for all I know they could’ve left recently… (Like, really recently. Like, that creepy guy in the hood who I just let run off to go get all his friends. Oh boy…)

He kept his distance from the boy, following him as quietly as possible through the chambers. Any noise he did while trailing along could be dismissed as dirt shuffling under the guy’s feet, or the cavern creaking because of the shift’s in weight.

He stayed a way’s back once they arrived to the stone chamber, the openness of the room not giving him many places to hide. He cursed under his own breath for not being able to get a closer look at the corpses and the instruments. If only that pesky little piece of shit wasn’t there to bother him…

He had a clear shot from where he was. He could’ve exploited the element of surprise to take him down, but that would be inconvenient: the guy was going ahead of him, checking for traps, and was pretty much guaranteed to find the treasure before he did - why bother?

…This isn’t right. No security, no monsters, just a...

The Eye of Yog'Sototh would almost appear more an obstacle than a boon to aid me in my ambitions... Regardless, The Artifact's power is not to be underestimated. I have place Ronald back into his role as Messenger and his body now acts according to my will, though only for a short time spanned can I control this useless flesh puppet before he regains what little control he has over his petty life. Those who follow my infinite wisdom will adhere my words; something has emerged in the waters near the Roivas mansion that could be of great use to us. Chattur'gha has already sent his imbecile humans to investigate, while you fools waste your time tending to your mundane human needs... My silence is NOT in any way an indication that you are allowed to abandon your mission, and so you have given the Master of Matter an advantage with which who may very well eliminate you once and for all. I have wasted far too much time letting my presence become known amongst you fools, and now the very core of your little cult is threatened. If my cult is eradicated, the others will have an advantage over me to win this war. Make way to Rhode Island, and halt whatever Chattur'gha has set in motion, or I will ensure you meet a demise not by their hands, but by my own fury...

Chattur'gha: At last. This foolish mortal thought that petty Artifact would be able to keep me at bay forever. Rest assured that while his mind is shielded; it is not invincible. I have little time until he can regain control of this body, so I shall make myself clear: this mortal cannot save you. No force in the universe can. These self-proclaimed "Protectors" will not last forever. I WILL break free of this prison, and I will leave your world in pieces. The other Ancients will likely break through the barrier soon, and they will likely tell you the same. Those of you with any degree of intellect will know that they are mere lies.

*I watch you walk off, then gently put the gun back in my pocket* …Hmph. Another fine piece of work by the goddess of insanity… Now then… *I turn back towards the crypt you were trying to pry open earlier and examine it carefully. I pull a small notepad out of my pocket and...

*After flipping through the notepad, I mutter some words under my breath, and three glowing red symbols appear on the door, which proceeds to turn into rubble. I quickly glance around to survey the surrounding area.*

...This isn't right. No security, no monsters, just a door... Unless that guy from earlier WAS a cultist, in which case, fuck me for not shooting him. *I slowly back into the tunnel, grasping my gun firmly and peer around one last time. My eyes hover over your hiding spot, and I raise and eyebrow, before backing all the way into the crypt*

Trust me, you're the one that's getting in over your head here. I don't know what you typically expect to find on a dead person, but I can tell you that what's in there is infinitely more trouble than whatever you think it might be worth. So, how about this: You just calmly leave this lovely cemetery and go get something for that little..."blemish" of yours, and I can burn that crypt to the ground so that this whole CITY doesn't become a graveyard, hmm?

Mod: Hey all, sry for the inactivity. My last RP partner never left a reply (or if they did I can't find it for the life of me.) I have received an RP request from someone else, and we were discussing how we wanted to set it up, but final exams don't give him much time to talk to me, apparently. On top of this, I've been focusing on my mod blog, by writing blog, and a blog I have under another account. Hopefully you can expect updates when my partners have the time. I am really getting sick of this conflict. These Ancients have been fighting since before this world really existed. And of course they had to drag humanity into it. They claim we were "created to fight for them." Is war and violence really our sole purpose for existing? Are we really that primitive? Doesn't matter. Either way, fighting and running are my only options. And somewhere out there is our ace in the hole to finally end this battle.

A videogame which is the spiritual successor to one of the most adored titles on the Gamecube, as well as one of the most adored survival-horror games of all time, which is loosely based off of works by H.P. Lovecraft (a famous horror author known for revolutionizing the idea of incomprehensible deities and monsters like Cthulhu), fails to raise enough money after MULTIPLE kickstarters

But a freaking MMO (which last I checked were a BIT more expensive to make) based off of the books written by JANE AUSTINE (a famous romance author known for her realism and social commentary) gets funded in one go.

Now, I do NOT have anything against Jane Austine or her works, and if you like Ever Jane and support it, that's fine, I respect your opinion, but you cannot tell me that you don't see something a little off about this.
